Zero Suit Samus Vs Snake (Metal Gear)
Zero Suit Samus Vs Snake (Metal Gear)

This match is very close to another found on this site: Solid Snake Vs Samus, and I think the results would be the same.

    WOOT FIRST POST!

lol, anyway Solid Snake is very resourceful and heavily armed, but to the best of my knowledge he doesn’t have any superhuman capabilities. Zero Suit Samus has superhuman speed, strength and endurance. If someone more knowledgeable of Snake could shed some light onto weather or not he would even be able to land a blow on Samus before she tore him limb from limb, I’d be most appreciative.

Snake would pull this victory. With his stealth, Samus is a goner!

No it wouldn’t be very close.. he is a old guy who hides in boxes.
    what the hell???

Winner: zero suit … minus the additional suit

Zero Mission proved that Samus’s shields still work in the Zero Suit, she just takes much more damage. It’ll stop maybe 14 bullets before she starts getting hurt. And she’s still very fast (superhuman, in fact) so dodging is not impossible.

But Snake just has too much firepower.

Samus may not have him beat in raw firepower, but her pistol would be nasty to a person. A fully charged shot can freeze a Space Pirate for several seconds, and they are much much studier then humans. A single un-charged shot would probably paralyze Snake long enough to deliver a fatal kick.

But, this matchup is so lame. They would never fight each other!

I suggested this match, but I don’t know what would happen. Samus still has some shielding and is still extremely agile.

Snake isn’t a statue either and his weapons would probably do some damage.

only in MGS4…. like normal people, Snake actually grows old. Most fictional characters magically never grow old, snake is actually a bit more realistic. It would have to be Snake’s strongest point versus Zero Suit Samus, and I am not sure who would win yet.

This would be a close match between Samus’ superior athletic ability and Snake’s superior firepower. While Samus certainly has a superior weapon, she is limited to only that, whereas Snake can bring a multitude of different weapons to suit the situation.
In the end the result would come down to the terrain; terrain with a lot of cover to break up line of sight would allow Samus to close and make good use of her whip, while a battleground with limited objects that obscure line of sight would allow Snake to bring his firepower to bear, sending Samus to a body bag in no time.

Also, the current art work for Samus without her suit is horrible. Curses to whoever thought it would be a good idea to change the fantastic design from Metroid Prime 1, that was realistic and beautiful, to this new cartoon version they’ve been using in every game since then (except Hunters I think).

I agree to an extent. She looked horrid in Prime 2, the best in Prime 1. But in SSBB and Prime 3 (And Fustion and Prime 2) she looks pretty gorgeous.

As for the Samus vs. Snake, do you think her super-human reflexes would aid in fighting Snake’s arsenal? She is incredibly fast and far more durable then a ordinary person. She could likely take a direct bullet or rocket without it being fatal.

THEY DID THIS IN BRAWL DIDN’T THEY?

“THEY DID THIS IN BRAWL DIDN’T THEY?”
Yes, they did, but quite frankly, Brawl nerfed both of them… Samus has no shields and doesn’t have her superhuman strength and Snake has no guns, and resorts mostly to punchs and kicks…

    Samus:
    PROS:
    - Superhuman abilities
    - Functional energy pistol that paralyzes enemies and never runs out of ammo
    - Durable
    CONS:
    - Not too stealthy
    - Not much for ranged attacks

    Snake:
    PROS:
    - A vast variety of weapons that, even though the run off of ammo (excluding the Patriot), are pretty easily refilled…especially if Drebin is involved…
    - CQC
    - Vastly superior stealth (whether it being just hiding unaided, using a card board box, or using STEALTH ARMOR)
    - Can set explosives without being detected (C4 for example)
    CONS:
    - Can take very little damage before dying
    - Is not very superhuman
    - No energy weapons

Overall, I think Snake has this one won. Although Samus is powerful, she doesn’t have her suit and, as such, doesn’t have her damage-inducing ranged weapons or her visor so she wouldn’t be able to pick out Snake via heat or infrared or x-ray. Snake would just have to plant some explosives, hide a fair distance away, and surprise Samus and finish her with some ranged weapon depending on distance.
