Interesting match here. While the technology favors the Empire, the ‘Zerg Rush’ might enable them to overwhelm their way to victory.
Given all of that, since the Empire does have Darth Vader, I think I’d have to give this one to them.

The Empire has all the tools available to blast the Zerg out. what is a Zerglin rush to a Star Dreadnoght?
Just have Vader blast the whole Zerg infested planet with the Death Star.

Same reasons SW raeped Halo, the Empire is a massive super-powerful empire expanding over several galaxies, armed with extremely powerful weapons (sure a Stormtrooper < Marine but that E-11 would kill most Zerg in a single shot.), a gigantic Navy made up of some of the most powerful ships ever designed, and a little thing called high technology.
Considering it is likely that most Zerg planets are of zero economic significance, the Empire would just crack the planets from orbit and be on their merry way, no need for any real ground engagements.

haha a simple mass suicide attach may take a stardestroyer or mabey if they could get past the planitary shield and then threw the moon deep layers of armor then mabey they could get to the deathstar to be cripled. but if IF that happend the empire would send the ECLIPS class stardreadnought to ram the planet to kingdom come. the eclpis has enough sheilding and amor (quantum amor) to fly threw a sun without getting a scratch…. so the empire would win without a doubt.

what first that needs to be taking into account is the comparsion of similar forces. Do not base your logic off assumptions of the empire. Because there nothing currently in the Star Wars Galaxy that resembles the Zerg that the Empire had to face. However in Starcraft it would be a smart move to compare the Empire and the Terran. both are massive forces I would say the empire is slightly larger.
I would question their variants compared to the Terran. Another thing you must consider is the Protoss. Could the Empire defeat the Protoss? The reason they are brought up, all three teams Terran, Protoss, and the Zerg are locked in a struggle that has not currently been resolved. This being said, if there is a enemy out of those three that the Empire can not defeat. Then the Empire can not defeat any of them.
This does not truly support either side. But this should guide you to look for the right kind of evidence. This evidence should prove either side victory if it is discover.
