You may have seen this before, and the discussion been’s around already, but this video is too good not to share…
Here is the url to the Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGkdltPzTeU (opens new window)
It appears they removed the video, as they wanted it to only appear on Youtube. O-well, it was really funny. So we’ll have to revert to some good ‘ol fashion pictures…

It uses a mathematical model of uncertainty to address weaknesses in existing ranking systems such as ELO. For example, a new player joining million-player leagues can be ranked correctly in fewer than 20 games. It can predict the probability of each game outcome, which enhances competitive matchmaking, making it possible to assemble skill-balanced teams from a group of players with different abilities.

“Never had a red rig of death even after 4 hours of watching movies on my 360.£
Wow, Aren’t you hardcore?(!) 4 hours? You must be a TRUE gamer.
(Sarcasm)
“My games are clean of scratches and the graphics aren’t bad.”
True, the graphics aren’t bad. But Chewie’s ex-Xbox360 (he sold it and bought a PS3) chewed up his copy of Halo 3 in the first week of purchase. Also, the guy he sold his 360 to, a friend of ours, had his copy of CoD5 mashed up aswell. Annnnnnnnnnd, He got Red Rings too!
“PS3:
InFamous – Wasn’t as critically ecclaimed as Prototype
So? Infamous is still an exceptional title. And its also an exclusive. Prototype is not.
Yakuza 3 – no comment, i look forward to news
Gran Turismo 5 – Joy, another generic racing game from a series that pales in comparison to other racing games
Pales in comparison? Even Gran Truismo 4 has 741 possible customisations for cars, and thats a PS2 game. Name me a racing game that even comes close to that number. GT5 is also going to be on one disc, which is more than can be said for Forza 3.
Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer- no comment, i look forward to news
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves- I was never a fan, but looks promising
Ratchet and Clank 2 – meh…
Meh? Ratchet and Clank is an extremely successful series with at least 9 titles. I hardly call that “meh.”
God of War 3- There are 800 games like this coming out.
Its funny how you fail to provide any examples here. God of War III is something that is going to define the current console war. Just wait till it’s release
M.A.G (Massic Action Game) -no comment, i look forward to news
White Knight Chronicles – Generic rpg… nothing more to add.
Generic? This RPG comes from Square Enix, Y’know? the Makers of Final Fantasy?
Final Fantasy XIII- is coming to the 360
Its only going to be on 360 in Northen America.
Team ICO Game – Huzzah for atmosphere.
Think “Shadow of the Colossus”… Times ten.
WarDevil- meh
Yet another statement that shows no fact.
360:
Mass Effect 2 – the first is still best futuristic rpg out
The best? Yet again, no source or evidence provided here.
Alan Wake – meh
Ninety-Nine Nights 2- Fantastic news!
I agree, unfortunate I never got to play the first one.
Ninja Blade- …ok, this sucked
Agreed.
Huxley – no comment, i look forward to news
Project Forza 3 – meh, see comments on Gran Turisimo
Forza 3 is going to be shipped on 2 DVDs, proof that this format is falling behind,
Kingdom Under Fire 2 – The original and its expansion were the best strategy games ever created
And for a final time, no evidence or source provided.
And as for Hotshot, nice that you spaced out the 360′s specs/ablities so it seemed like it had far more, some people are capable of reading.

“Prove me that killzone wins or do you only have a big mouth”
again?
There is nothing to Halo, it is far too simplistic to have any substance. The multiplayer is old and repetitive, nothing but a race to get to the weapons. It’s own fanbase has ruined the multiplayer by using the same cheap tricks constantly, the campaign is shallow with a huge issuue with the plot and has nothing that made the first two games great: the original good weapons, explorable environments, playing as both sides, etc.
Now I mentioned a problem with the plot, let me explain: in Halo 2 it was stated that when one halo ring went off the others would as well. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but if they fired one in halo 3 the others should have followed and killed everything. There are two possible reasons the y didn’t, the communications center was incomplete, or it was out of the range of the others. But it couldn’t have been out of range because all the halos can communicate with the ark an the ark can reach out to them, it was definitely within range to send the firing order the other rings. Also I have a hard time believing the other scenario because the rebuilt halo only had pieces of the outer structure missing. I would highly appreciate it if Bungie would shed some light on how they forgot to mention this little detail

Hotshot, You do realize that on my ps3 I have the internet, not just certain services from certain sites, right?
You know, the internet? Where I can get and watch ANYTHING for free for the price I pay for DSL connection?
But I’ll throw you a bone: I do miss my xbox, but only because of L4D, GTA4′s DLC, and my rag tag CoD clan.
“Also halo 3 is better than killzone 2 and halo 3 has won”
You’re day to day survival amazes me.

Guys, This is win. An alien PS3. That can play Xbox 360 games as well!

I think we are missing the point. This is a VS therefore the consoles themselves, not their fanbases are fighting. My prediction is that no console wins because they are inanimate objects.
If they did happen to start fighting though The 360 will probably Red Ring itself to death, the PS3 will fill with water and brick/paperweight itself and the Wii thinking it has won will throw it’s WiiMote in joy hitting a TV and then getting torn in two by it’s owner. Why didn’t anyone add Dreamcast to this fight?

Well if PC was involved it would win, depending on the PC of course. I mean if you have a giant tower its just gonna fall on the other 3 crushing them. This prolly means that Mac will end up wining because it will keep using annoying and witty retorts till PC rage quits.

Xbox, you have to PAY for online… Someone should have told me before I bought mine two years ago… Oh well, Playstation 3, internet free, and almost all the Xbox video games are on there too, with more extended gameplay, and better quality. Also the controller that I have been used to my whole life hasn’t changed either…

With Xbox Live your paying for not just online gaming but things like Last.fm, Facebook, Netflix, and the rest of the things. Now that there is a new, better 360 that not only has a 250gig hard-drive, built in wireless, and better looks, it cost as much as the Elite. Its just a better deal than spending the same cash to buy a PS3.

Not to mention Kinect coming out soon.

I’m stuck with the regular Xbox 360, but you still have to PAY for anything good on it, but the Playsation is free online, better gameplay, better secrets to unlock without buying it separate, and KINECT will have to be PAID for, since the Halo sales went down on Halo games since Halo Wars…

Better gameplay? Most games are like 99% the same on 360 and PS3. Plus Many more people use Xbox Live than the PS network.
August 30, 2010

Many more people would like to play for free than pay for something they could be getting for free…
I don’t know if the Batman:Table Saw thing is gonna get posted…
I just have bad news for you now…

I’d have to argue against better online on the PS3. It may be free, but its also very temperamental, even if wired directly. Slow loading, sudden downtimes, lack of connection for no reason beyond devilment. My 360 behaves itself well enough.
I suppose you get what you pay for…
Still, wouldn’t say no to either of them if they were going free.

I never played online for PS3, but Xbox I have, and you have to pay for everything, the online, the connector thing that goes in the back, the hassle with getting it connected to your router modem, and it says on the game multiplayer gameplay, but two controllers from the same Xbox can’t be on at the same time, on the same Xbox live match, and you have to buy that as a package with other sh*t you don’t want…

“Better gameplay? Most games are like 99% the same on 360 and PS3. Plus Many more people use Xbox Live than the PS network.”
There’s more Xbox owners than PS3 owners, and more Xbox games are sold per console than for the PS3. It just speaks for itself that Live is busier than the network.

“Slow loading, sudden downtimes, lack of connection for no reason beyond devilment.”‘
Wait, what? This is never a problem apart from on games with inherent problems, like MW2.
August 30, 2010
#26
Inherent problems, exclusive to the PS3
“and you have to pay for everything, the online”
Well you have to pay for the broadband with PS3 too
“the connector thing that goes in the back”
New Xbox has that as standard”
“the hassle with getting it connected to your router modem”
Same for the PS3
“and it says on the game multiplayer gameplay, but two controllers from the same Xbox can’t be on at the same time, on the same Xbox live match”
I suspect it depends on the game, but generally same for the PS£, plus you can only have one person logged in at a time, regardless of how many controllers you have (Damn having to share gold on RE5…)
Don’t get me wrong, the PS3 is the best multimedia player on the market by leaps and bounds, but for gaming without havign to upgrade my system, I’ll take the 360 any day.
Plus, again personal preference, i always feel like I’m going to break PS3 controllers… tiny bloody things.

Whats all the hype with Kinect anyway? Isnt it the other kids copying nintendo’s toys?
I mean realy, nintendo lays the foundation of this generation: Online access, Motion controls, and Remade Classics.
The way I see it nintendo provides gamers actual games, while the other kids make systems and fads.

Nintendo makes, pardon me, boring crap. That’s usually not a very welcomed view among gaming enthusiasts, but Nintendo is so overrated it makes me sick. The Wii is a piece of pure shiat compared to the competition, but is more appealing to the casual gamer, or parents wishing to play with their children. Hell, I’ve seen people at 60+ years of age using that thing!
No, I’d take my PS3 any day. And if one wasn’t available, I’d go for the 360. Failing that, PS2. Or the original box. Or the very first nintendo, or one of the crappy Atari things, just keep that goddamn Wii away from me!
