What if…Khyron didn’t destroy the SDF-1?

So, if you’re a Robotech fan, here’s an interesting question – Suppose Khyron never obliterated the SDF-1, SDF-2 and his ship?

Would the Robotech Masters still be as interested in acquiring the protoculture matrix? (I think so)
Would the SDF-3 even been built?
Where would Captain Gloval end up?
Would the Invid even learn about planet Earth?

At work and hard to research this as dont know much aboit Robotech at all. Ill get back to you on this.
