In what seemed like a good idea at the time, here by request is the Warhammer 40K universe matched up against the Halo Universe.
I think even if you had 10,000 Spartans, this battle wouldn’t be very close.
Any hope for the Halo universe?

wow, very little was even covered on Chaos Deamons… probably for the best. flood might be able to be the foot stools to a plaguebearer. flood is similar to nurgle, but only not as strong, a squad of 8 plaguebearers could decimate the flood leader, teleport at will, and immune to disease, and plagues, and infection.

I have heard that an Imperial ship crossed 9 AUs in 93 minutes. A single AU is 149,597,871 kilometers, multiplied by 8 it comes to 1,346,380,839 kilometers. Divided by 93 it decreases to 14,477,213.32 kilometers a minute or 241,286.8887 kilometers a second. Light speed is 300,000 km/s, so a ship really does go at .75c, so how are UNSC ships going to keep up with the Imperial Navy?

methinks 40k is gonna win. Space Marines are like spartans on steroids (and apperently some vulnerable shoulders) and there’s 1,000 of ‘em in every chapter sooo…..

LMAO at all the people who are defending Halo. Its like comparring cavemen with the army of modern America. Only 35,000 years of war and evolution separate the two armies. I think thats already enough said.
Who would win “cavemen with sticks and stones Vs America in 2010!”
40 K for the win…….. there is no argument or comparrison.

I think it’s more about the size of 40k’s forces that screws Halo, not the tech. I was reading 5th Edition and it says this about the Tyranids: “behind the Hive fleets lies the barren husks of a dozen galaxies already consumed.”
They have consumed 12 fucking galaxies! Can anyone calculate the population of the Tyranid race with that?

You sure about that? Calculations and and in lore numbers etc seem to say otherwise.

No, that’s not what I meant. 40k tech is vastly superior. I was trying to point at that even if all 40k tech was somewhat inferior, the ridiculous size of their forces would still give them the victory over the Halo powers.

I love both Halo and 40 K but comparing them both is like apples and oranges. War hammer is set way to many years in the future.
Still if you could compare the two I would say war hammer for the win. Even 1 on 1 its a no contest…… A space marine would wipe the floor with the master chief. A space marine basically is master chief after *30,000* (yes thirty thousand) years of genetic, psychological, physical modifications and warfare based evolution. Each 40 K marine has like two hearts and three lungs and can with stand punishment a 21 century soldier probably couldn’t even inflict.. (Even the chief would be punching above his weight in this fight!) ;o)

the only possible way to win for halo would be if the halo side is back before the forrunner-flood war. if the forrunners were in full strangth then maby, MABY they could win

i am not sourewho said it something like “ill use the halo rings to kill imperial fleets. well there is at least one huge problem with that. the halo rings work by releasing a type of radiation that fryes the nerons( i nkow i spelled it wrong) in the brains of advanced species. you would thank this would be a good weapon the problem is that the ring do’s not fire a laser it shoots in all directions so your fleet will die to,

since this is v “halo” halo in a massive curb stom against wh 40k, the forruners had thousands of dreadnaughts, just a single dreadnaught was 15 kilometers long a decimated almost the enire sengrhilie fleet without sustaining soo much as a scratch, the dam shields were never depleated, and just so you know thats over 400 warships on par with covenant assult carriers, you would require double that amount to take down the sheilds, and another 200 to destroy the ship, thats over 1000 warships atacking the dreadnaught at the same time without retreating to destroy one, and you would have no more than one or two surviving ships left, now thay had thousands of dreadnaughts but theire entire fleet would be rated in the hundreds of thousands, they enhabited and controled an entire galaxy, then you add in the covenant, the unsc and the flood, WH has no hope even if they had a million warships, and their moral would deminish once they found out that their enemy could wipe out all life in the galaxy with the single push of a button, well turn of a key to be correct, and the flood would not die if the rings are activated. so technecly, halo wins either way

Necrons and Chaos could survive…so you fail. Now leave.

oh and i forgot, the forruners had hundreds of trillions of sentinals, and it only took 100 sentinals to take out a covenant destroyer and i cant be bothered about explaining the covenant and unsc and flood side of things so just go to http://www.halopediea.com, it has almost everything about them

Oh…c’mon
Warhammer has gods on there side, the tryanids would kill all of halo, the chaos gods, any thing in warhammer, could simply just destroy the rings.
Even if thae haloverse did use the rings, the necrons would still be a threat along with the chaos gods.
There is no way for halo to win.
Just fucking stop it already you freaking troll !

UNSC freak you fail so fucking hard.
@everyone
why is it that everytime this thread dies some halotard has to come in and fill it with fail?
June 30, 2010

Not to mention that the rings wouldn’t do ANYTHING to 40k ships inside the warp.

“why is it that everytime this thread dies some halotard has to come in and fill it with fail?”
Because the very existence of a halotard is a dense mass of the purest and most concentrated essence of fail.

” You sure about that? Calculations and and in lore numbers etc seem to say otherwise. ”
Unless you are all powerful – anything can be deafeated with pure numbers. Tyranid fleet actions show this quite well.

“and their moral would deminish once they found out that their enemy could wipe out all life in the galaxy with the single push of a button”
Or Tzeentch, knowing literally everything in the universe, would know exactly where the Rings are and what they are capable of. The Chaos Gods become very annoyed at the possibility of losing so many delicious souls.
The Halo powers are baffled as every Halo Installation is engulfed by strange rifts in space-time and mysteriously vanish forever.

I misunderstood what Locustus said and thought he was saying that 40k won only because of superior numbers.
“The Halo powers are baffled as every Halo Installation is engulfed by strange rifts in space-time and mysteriously vanish forever.”
Or turn up a few months later, each one completly warped by the powers of chaos and possesed by greater daemons.

if you fire the rings you will commit suicide and the necrons will still be around since the rings kill all living matter and since necrons are made out of metal so they wouldn’t do shit to them

Um, to be fair, Warhammer 40,000 has lower limits in firepower. For example, they use virus bombs which take hours to kill all life on a planet, and these are considered very dangerous during the Great Crusade that only high figures could use them. Horus also brought up bombardment could have some individuals survive, and no one seemed surprised he said that. There is also a several hundred meter tank that had a main weapon as powerful as space craft, and Imperial Navy forces can fire a weapons battery weapon and not have the effects kill everyone on the ground.

Virus bombs take minutes to reduce all life on the planet to sludge, not hours.

“Virus bombs take minutes to reduce all life on the planet to sludge, not hours.”
Well, Galaxy in Flames says hours. Do you have an explanation for everything else Jennings?
August 12, 2010

“Well, Galaxy in Flames says hours.”
Nope, it took minutes for the virus bombardment to kill mostly everything on Isstvan III. Where are you getting hours from?
August 12, 2010
#29
Well, I got it from this.
“Virus bombs…
Weapons so terrible and forbidden that only the
Warmaster himself, and the Emperor before him,
could ever sanction their use.
Each warhead would unleash the life eater virus,
a rampant organism that destroyed life in all its
forms and wiped out every shred of organic matter
on the surface of a planet within hours.
Galaxy in Flames pg 196″

And yet the population of the planet died within minutes.
“The virus spread through the populace of Isstvan III at the speed of thought”
“Entire kingdoms and vassal states across the surface were obliterated within minutes”
pg. 261
“Sindermann watched the bloom of darkness spread across the slice of the planet visible on the giant pict screens. It spread in a wide black ring, eating its way across the surface of the planet with astonishing speed, leaving grey desolation behind it.”
pg. 262
