    chess isnt to hard to learn, its the strategies etc. that are difficult.
    I think, not being a fan of chess I don’t really know but still.

    Everything about chess is rather easy to learn, even advanced tactics are only moderately difficult. The hard bit is to aqcuire that “spark of genius” needed when something doesn’t go according to plan. And no plan survives contact with the enemy.
