Dark Light
The Last Airbender (Movie Trailer)

Not much here, but I did watch the animated series and it was decent for being a kids show. With Shyamalan directing a movie with no hidden “twists” maybe he can just focus on telling a great story instead of setting us up for something else. Regardless, I’m gonna be in the theater to see this.

Meh. I’m waiting for the live action NGE movie myself. I will self-pwn if it goes into development hell.

    No way…
Well this is the first I’ve heard. It was brilliant considering it’s only a kids show. They better make it decent.

This single issue has me very skeptical about the whole thing.

I loved watching the show. I’m defiantly going see the movie if it comes out. I will be pissed if they screw this up.

I really hope this isn’t going to be like Dragon Ball where they do something completely different from the show.

    To TheSorrow:

I don’t see how they could do somthing differn’t I liked the show to. I was 12(13 now) So I think I could enjoy this movie if they make it good.

The very fact that a movie like Dragon Ball exists makes it very possible for them to screw this up.

    M. Night Shyamalan directing an avatar movie… Shit.

I wonder what the twist will be! Oh I know! Katara will fall in love with Zuko just to piss off / satisfy fans.

I really hope the creaters keep a close eye on Shyamalan. It would be too bad if they let him mess up their work, especially after how much fun the animated series was.

Sokka better still be as awesome in the movie as he is in the show.

I’ve always loved Avatar. And it looks like it’ll be a half decent movie. The story is so simple, I don’t see how you could screw it up.

    M. Night + A simple plot = Disaster. You’ll probably find out that Aang was dead all along or something at the end.

I admit I liked the animated series. It is one of my most favorite
non-Japanese anime-style shows to date. It is better to leave it be
than to make a live-action movie.
There have been stories of Keanu Reeves playing as Spike Spiegel in the
future Cowboy Bebop movie. Seriously, leave the series as they are.
