Sword of Truth Tattoo (Picture)
Sword of Truth Tattoo

Well, I know some have asked about how much I like the book series – now you know – This is a picture of my back.

The top left is supposed to be Jagang the Just and his pupil-less eyes, the middle is a carving Richard did of himself and Kahlan whilst in the old city, the grace at the top, the Sword of Truth running from right to left, the Wizards Keep and Zed are on the left hand side and finally Aydindril is on the right. Lastly below is the very last line in the 13th book and also what Richard carved into the statue.

…and I’m joking, this isn’t my back, it’s actually some 60 year old dude who’s a fan of the series.

Yeah that’s not his back. He has a giant Halo Master Cheif Tattoo on his back fighting a character from Star Craft with a huge Factpile logo under it. Along with some banner ads on the side.

    Uhm…..yeah. I can see being a fanatic of a series, but isn’t that a tad…..obsessive?

    Fail!

You ruined it by saying this wasn’t you. It would have been epic.

“the middle is a carving Richard did of himself and Kahlan whilst in the old city”

WTF? Those statues aren’t of Richard and Kahlan! It was said so explicitly in “Faith of the Fallen.” Richard was just carving a masculine and feminine pair and using inspiration from various people to make them both up. Kahlan even remarked upon seeing the statue that the woman was NOT her, but she noticed it contained quite a bit of her own shape in it. And the “old city” is ALTUR’RANG.

There was no 13th book in the Sword of Truth series, unless you count both “Debt of Bones” and “The Law of Nines” as books in the series. The last one in the main series, Confessor, was the 11th. Richard did not carve “Your life is yours alone” into the statue he carved in Altur’rang: he just engraved LIFE there and nothing else.

And worst of all, Zedd’s name is misspelled! There’s supposed to be TWO d’s, not ONE!

Admin, you screw up so many details from the books in one single paragraph and expect us to believe that you’re a SoT fan? Unacceptable. ; )

@AHEM – I deserve that for doing a cut and paste lift and not using a spell check.
    @Expert – I wish I could have click-able banner ads as tattoos…

“@AHEM – I deserve that for doing a cut and paste lift and not using a spell check.”

It’s quite alright. We all make mistakes, after all. Just don’t let it happen again; if the really REALLY hardcore fans heard about such an outrage, things could get a bit out of hand with them.

“Looks like we figured out whos back this is….”

Sorry, but its not mine. While I have read and enjoyed the SoT series, I’m not a hardcore fan who’d actually tattoo myself for the sake of proclaiming that I like the series.

I’d prefer not to give away too much personal information about myself, but I’d like to point out that “some 60 year old dude” is pretty far from myself as far as physical description goes.

Are you sure? You need to be one insane fan to actually remember all that information and bring it up from memory(unless you fact-checked the whole thing first, lol), and as a SoT fan myself, I have to say it’s commendable, and enviable.

Wow that’s a nice tattoo. This makes me want to get a Devil May Cry tattoo when I’m older. Actually tattoos hurt so I’m not going to now. Though still this does show how much of a fan you are.

It’s kind of a strange idea to have an ad as a tattoo. Whatever ad is put there will become defunct soon enough, while that tattoo is bound to stay there for a freaking long time.

Is Jagang looking at the statues? Maybe that’s why he’s squinting angrily like that.

“Is Jagang looking at the statues? Maybe that’s why he’s squinting angrily like that.”

Jagang never saw the statues in the books. They were both destroyed while he was still out with his army, away from Altur’Rang.

Even the Grace is wrong… In the prequel “Debt of Bones” there is a picture of Abigale stranding on top of what the Grace is actually supposed to look like. That sucks to have that tattoo and have such a big mistake.
