Superman Vs Doomsday
Superman Vs Doomsday

I have to say that I honestly didn’t know who Doomsday was until I accidentally found about him on some other forum somewhere. After some research and seeing how the Superman Vs Goku match continues to get responses, I wanted to see how Superman could win this match.

Your thoughts?

Doomsday has already canonically killed Superman during the DC stand-alone “Superman Vs. Doomsday” comic. Without listing their individual attributes, Doomsday managed to literally beat the man of steel to a bloody pulp, whilst managing to escape unharmed later on.

Superman already fought Doomsday in the comics, it ended in a draw, both dead.
He was the responsible for “death of Superman”.

How can you not know about doomsday?? It was one of the greatest comics in superman history where doomsday kills superman just has superman beats him.
I have to say doomsday probably is stronger then superman and if they fight again unless superman would sacrifice himself doomsday should win.

    i meant fairs against.
if anyone has seen prime in dc one million i think you know what i mean when i say he could whoop him no problem.he would take a very long time to regenerat if his ashes were scattered all about the universe.he could also be thought of of existence.

Doomsday would win. He beat pretty much every superhero on Earth to a pulp before finally meeting Superman, and he wasn’t even tired. Doomsday can fight for days on end without a break and he can pierce Superman’s skin. He has no qualms about collateral damage, meaning he can totally let loose. And, if you read on after Death of Superman, you’d know that Doomsday can jump his consciousness to other objects, so he is impossible to defeat.

According to the comics, Doomsday has become completely invulnerable to Superman ever killing him and so, Pre-crisis Superman and Superman Prime would have no way to make a dent in him since while Doomsday is fighting him, he would adapt to all of Pre-crisis/Superman Prime’s speed, strength, and energy attacks. Come on, this fight should have never been created; this just shows how weak Superman is and how the writers and comic fans want Superman to be a “vulnerable human”. When you have Goku pitted against Superman, then all of the Superman fans all of a sudden try to bring out all of these comments like Superman is god and can dodge Goku’s martial art attacks and boxing is better than martial arts/Muhammad Ali is better than Bruce Lee which makes no sense. I have never seen Superman in all of his different versions from comics, cartoons, tv shows, and movies even think of using martial arts with light-speed to overcome an enemy rather than just use strength. The only things about Superman that stand out to me are that he brings out the good in everyone, protects and saves people with power that many of Marvel’s popular characters and other DC Comic’s characters don’t have, a uniform that has bright red, yellow, and blue colors with the best “S” symbol and cape, and last handsome good looks that girls like. Superman doesn’t know how to fight, if he did he would have beaten Doomsday and showed people that he really is Superman. I hate Doomsday killing Superman; he is SUPERMAN isn’t he? To many people and myself, Superman may represent the simplicity of super-strength and inspiration, but past all of that I see the truth about all that Superman is including his weaknesses.

Really people, how can Superman be Super and the best super-hero, if he can’t even defeat Doomsday? It looks like Doomsday’s power-level will always rival Pre-crisis/Superman Prime no matter what Superman’s power-level is. I think that’s crap, but because I’ve read Superman comics and seen all of that, it is the truth. And even if Doomsday was put into the Phantom Zone or “The End of Time”, he will always escape somehow because of other evil forces saving him or Doomsday’s power would save himself.

The only good thing about Doomsday is that in the future his genes are spliced with Clark’s to where he develops intelligence and knows right from wrong, plus as a drawback he becomes weaker. He becomes compassionate though and helps the future Superman fight the super-villain Gog and save people. Gog’s power-level rivals both Doomsday himself and Superman. Pre-crisis/Superman Prime couldn’t even beat Gog because Gog held the future Superman prisoner and tortured him for two centuries with kryptonite. There’s definitely something wrong there; Superman is the best super-hero, isn’t he? Doubtful.

“It looks like Doomsday’s power-level will always rival Pre-crisis/Superman Prime no matter what Superman’s power-level is.”

    This does not make sense.

You basically took one of the weakest versions of superman, and appilied his loss to the most powerful versions.Forgetting that pre-crisis and prime has a MASSIVE durability, speed, and strength difference from doomsday.

Dc comics does not use power levels btww.

Marche, but isn’t true, when it comes right down to it that many people (fans, people in general, and somewhat fans) don’t know about Superman Prime or really don’t think of Pre-crisis Superman, but only think of these versions when Goku vs Superman is brought up? Plus, I haven’t seen in any comic where Pre-crisis Superman isn’t weakened by kryptonite and as for Superman Prime, it don’t know whether or not kryptonite harms and or can kill him. If you can tell me a factual answer to the last question that would help me respect Superman even more than I do now, then go for it.

Plus, DC Comics does have power-rating cards that I’ve seen where Superman is ranked 7 out of 8 or 9 which would be like 8 or 9 out of 10 in the Marvel Universe and somewhere between 80,000 and 1 million in the Dragonball Universe.

I still say that if Superman and Goku would have just been created as a combined Ultimate Superman by Jerry Seigel and Joe Shuster or by some other writer and artist, then this whole argument over who’s better: Goku and Superman, wouldn’t exist. I still think that if they were both combined or “fused” (as shown later in Dragonball Z and GT) would be best compared to Superman and Goku existing by themselves.

You guys should really watch Justice League Unlimited. Because in one of the Episodes, the JL squares off with Doomsday, and it seems that he has them beat, until Supes uses his LAZER B33MZ to lobotomize him. It was my first overly violent moment in watching a cartoon. Maybe that’s why they canceled the show.

“Because in one of the Episodes, the JL squares off with Doomsday, and it seems that he has them beat, until Supes uses his LAZER B33MZ to lobotomize him.”

That was a different Superman from a alternate reality.

A epic battle, even if it wasn’t the real Superman.
    ………
However, it should be noted that the real Superman did use the same strategy after after he regrew his brain back. He mistaked the original Superman as the Justice Lords Superman and attacked him. After he regrew his brain back,he became immune to the lasers lobotomising him. So it didn’t work as succesfully as the first time when Justice Lord Superman did it.
