i think the space marine has many ways of killing boba bellyflop on boba and squish him flat or blow bobas but to orbit with a bolter mayby slap his head and then pull it off… and much much more but the main reason bobas gonna die is because of their initiatives and well… their strength, toughness, WS, BS , and the bolter is better than watever boba can get

I don’t know how the two universes match up, but to me Fett in 40k terms would be like an IG Cadian in Power Armor. Which (going by the fluff here) means that if he’s lucky, he can take down a SM. Probably not a Terminator, but this is why I don’t play humans.

Actually, FactPiles been around since late 2006 (around Christmas or so). I remember when the much dreaded MC vs Fett debate first made it’s appearance. So many fanboys, myself included. I posted some of the first comments on the thread, well, within the first fifty comments. I won’t say what my username was. those were shameful days, a lot has changed on this site since then. Give thanks to the Admin and Triumvirate for establishing order. Marche too, he created the FactPile debating rules after all.

I try to sum up the personality of arrogent people like you in as few words as possible. I know. Well done me.

I would like to note to you people who believe that this cannot be compared: you’re wrong. This CAN be compared within the degrees of reality. The reason we are capable of comparing a Space Marine to Bobba Fett is because we can see movies, actions, and read stories.

A Space Marine is 7 feet tall, and can crush a man’s skull with his bare hand. It’s fair to say that a Space Marine’s grip has at least 15 lbs per square inch (because that is the pressure required to crush a human head).

A Space Marine is armored with Power Armor. A .75 magnum caliber explosive round puts dents in the armor, but also bounces off. We also know that a Space Marine can hug a mortar round and come out mortally wounded, but minimizing damage around him because that’s a story that actually happened (in canon). Space Marines train and fight for several centuries and fight in dozens of campaigns and thousands of battles; the fluff says that.

The Space Marine is armed with a .75 magnum caliber sub-machinegun and can shoulder-fire it. It’s safe to say that’s a pretty powerful gun that’s probably going to rip straight through Bobba Fett’s armor, because the laser shots he takes are extremely weak weaponry compared to what we see in Warhammer 40,000 equivalents. If Bobba Fett climbed on the Space Marine’s back, if he rolled over, Bobba Fett will suffer major injury due to several broken bones.

UNLESS YOU PROVIDE ME WITH A QUOTE FROM SOMETHING THAT IS CANON, THE INFORMATION IS IRRELEVANT. And again, Wookiepedia is not a reliable source unless the author provides quotes and references, because otherwise it is quite possible that the information has simply been made up. Besides looking at the DXR-6 Disruptor page, I can’t see anything saying that it was inefficient to use on capital ships. Please “put up or shut up”

No, you provided a false analogy. This argument is in no way related to “bigger is better”, which you would know if you actually read/understood my posts. A less false analogy would be an “X” rifle that can punch through battleship armour using a standard sized magazine. If the “X” rifle can already punch through the sides of an Iowa using “X” 5.56×40mm ammo, how much more powerful will even a “X” 20mm shell be compared to a standard one?

Some sources (Some of the EU novels, though I don’t have a direct quotation, and I don’t have any Star Wars book) apparently say that Star Destroyer armour includes a few molecule thin barrier of Neutronium. Of course, this is stupid, in my opinion, because in that case the Victory class would weigh more than a planet, with gravity to match.

The disruptor rifle appears to be a VERY expensive instrument, also turbolasers are starship level, while the disruptor rifle is man-level. It’s not exactly fair to compare those two in such a way. The disruptor would OHKO the basic marine I am guessing, but the higher caste marines, which Admin decided to go with, would cream Boba.

Heck, I just wish Samus vs Space Marine got a revive in activity due to this, if Boba can beat a basic Space Marine, then Samus would wipe the floor with one without breaking a sweat.

Well first of all, if Samus is allowed Phazon then one hit, one single hit of phazon would end the marine. He would die, sooner or later of phazon corruption. Heck samus could hit him once and speed boost away. Since a SM’s movement speed is PATHETIC compared to Samus’s he would never catch her and he would just die from the phazon.

Things are only a little less dull if you take away phazon, but the results are similar. Her tech is too good.

But as with Boba, the higher ranked ones (I don’t know their names) will defeat Samus. Especially the ones with the Iron Halo thing.

Regardless I wish that thread got more attention, it kinda died before Samus got bumped up and never was thoroughly discussed afterwards. Even if you completely disagree with me, I hope that you would post there

And storm troopers seem like children in terms of accuracy against plot characters too. You can’t make every single character seem like king of the hill in every single scene, and when you need certain characters to survive… *Shrug*

The EU shows his potential in terms of accuracy. If he was able to do something, then he was able to do it. That’s irrefutable. Just because he CAN doesn’t mean he can consistently. Although I am sure that scout trooper was a completely expendable character in that situation.

Regardless, if the Basic Space marine gets hit once by the disruptor he will be begging his higher officers for something better than what he has.

And I disagree. Despite having some disadvantage in firepower, I believe that a basic Marine with his superior superhuman abilities and experience would defeat Fett.

Star Wars blasters can be deflected by Light sabers, The speed of the shots are that slow it amazing that they dont just step out of the way of the blasters.
Now If Fett went up against Any Space he would surely lose, Seeing as though Space Marines With Centuries Of Combat Experiance and the fact that their Armor shrugs off pretty much all Blasts and the fact that their Bolters shoot highly explosive rounds that can evaporate a human and even go through Power Armor Im thinking Fett will be the bitch, Thats just a Space Marine, Even a Scout could defeat Fett, Dont even get me started with Terminators

Space Marine in Tactical Armour for the prize?

Space marine would indeed win. However, if a basic Necron troop were to get involved, their atoms would be stripped away and their meager souls will be given to the star gods. The star gods would then eat all of your planets.

But in a fight between the space marine and boba, space marine would indeed win. Boba’s only defense would be in knowing that he can fly away like a pansy and attempt to pick at the space marine’s armor with his blaster. The space marine would proceed to tear him in half with his bear hands.

Then the star gods would eat your planets. Necrons win!
