Sir Daniel Fortesque Vs Ghost Rider
Sir Daniel Fortesque Vs Ghost Rider

Suggested by The Pondering Fool
Very cool fight here. With his drumstick in hand, Sir Dan might get a lucky hit in on Ghost Rider. For my money, that’s about the only way I could see Ghost Rider losing. Otherwise, it’s his match to win.

What say you?

out of these i would have to say ghost rider, due to the fact that sir daniel manly depends on his sword and is easy knocked apart ,and in games is rather easy to kill or die as.

Hellfire is not necessarily only an attack on the soul. Hellfire can basically do as much damage as The Rider wills it to. Dan has no chance.

NOOOO!!!! Why Admin why?!!!! Well, I guess it isn’t all that bad…Ghost Rider is pretty badass in my opinion…he wins this pretty easily…although a few things have to be considered (thought I still think Ghost Rider would win)

    Unbreakable golden shield…kinda self explanatory

Dan’s Dragon Armor: While most will say “OMG HELLFIRE CAN BURN THROUGH ANYTHING LOLOLOLOL” when Dan wears it in game he can’t take damage from flying demons who spit fire…and well since they are demons I am guessing it is hellfire…

By some chance, did someone say that Ghost Rider can be hurt by weapons from Heaven? If so, all of Dan’s weapons (with the exception of his guns and such) all come from a heavenly domain…just something to consider, although he would actually have to HIT GHost Rider which is which there is a pretty slim chance of that even happening

None of this will matter though, because by the time Dan even sees Ghost Rider he would have already been ran over by that motorcycle or have a chain going through his head…

I know GR is one of your favorite characters, and I can gladly accept defeat in this one solely for the fact that GR doesn’t piss me off…had this been Kharn vs Sir Dan (NOBODY SUGGEST IT DAMN IT) I probably would have come up with some BS strategy for Dan to win

Well to be fair to the underdog, how does Ghost Rider deal with magic? I haven’t a clue, but since I presume the drumsticks are impossible to avoid if it is cast while the target is in the area, GR would have to be immune to not suffer from the polymorphing effects.

This still clearly leaves Sir Dan a ton of punishment dealing to lay on GR, but if Sir Dan can just spam these drumsticks for a long time (LONG TIME!) leaving Gr helpless, he might get some damage in.

Unfortunately, Sir Dan probably won’t survive anything more than 2 hits from GR, he’s just too powerful as well as more mobile, and durable.

So unless GR is susceptible to magic drumsticks, and is exhausted from some big time Marvel battle, this is an easy with for the Ghost Rider.

Yes, Ghost Rider is nearly impervious to any weapon that is not forged in Heaven. In addition, if he is somehow harmed, he possesses a healing factor sufficient to instantly regenerate any damage caused.

“Johny Blaze is highly resistant to the point of being basically immune to all types of earthly physical damage as he has taken blows from beings such as an enraged World War Hulk with no sign of pain or discomfort, had his entire skull destroyed and regenerated instantly without any discomfort, and while the Ghost Rider is in control only divine weapons forged in heaven can cause discomfort or harm to the Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider is capable of withstanding great impact forces, temperature and pressure extremes, powerful energy blasts, and falls from great heights without sustaining injury. As his bodily tissues have been transformed, leaving only a skeleton, most projectiles such as bullets simply pass through him or bounce off his bones. Ghost Rider’s body is for all intents immune to physical injury, as he is evidently not able to feel pain and is able to survive with no apparent discomfort no matter how severe the injury (Unless a weapon forged from Heaven itself is used against him.)”

“Despite his invulnerability to conventional forms of injury, objects such as weapons forged in heaven by the arch angel Zadkiel, can actually harm the Ghost Rider to a certain extent. However, if his being is damaged, the magical energies imbuing him allows the Ghost Rider or Johnny Blaze to instantly regenerate any and all damage done, even to the point of fully regenerating lost limbs in moments, and regenerating his skull after it was destroyed in seconds without any discomfort or any evident pain.”

    http://marvel.wikia.com/Johnathon_Blaze_(Earth-616)

I have difficulty coming up with an idea as to how Dan would even harm the Ghost Rider permanently before his body and soul are scorched out of existence, and if that fails, those chains will come into play . . .

This match amuses me (not in a demeaning way). Yes, as most have outlined already, the Rider should be able to take this. I don’t like to take these things for granted, so there might still be arguments to be had.

I don’t have time to go into detail now. I’ll come back to this one tomorrow.

Baron, can you give me a breakdown of Dan’s weapons and items.

I think that they will all be useless, but I don’t know everything there is to know about them so I may be wrong. At this point (ridiculous as it may be), I think the Drumstick might be the only attack that could affect the Rider at all.

It seems that Kharn will be summoned once again. / puts on vintage WW1 helmet on./ I weep for those who face his ten thousand year old burning hatred.

I was wondering… is it possible to have actual historical figures on this site? Hannibal the Annihilator lusts to face Vlad the impaler.

Image……Ghost Rider vs Kharn……..(this is one of his threads, so might as well have asked here). Now that would be interesting. Would Khorn’s blessing be stronger that the Spirit of Vengeance which Johnny Blaze is host to? Interesting…..

“I was wondering… is it possible to have actual historical figures on this site? Hannibal the Annihilator lusts to face Vlad the impaler.”

I remember (this was during the summer I believe), that Admin had for the sword fighter section, Richard the Lionheart vs. Saladin (did I spell that right? leader of the Muslims [in the Holy Land] during the Third Crusade). And there was a “What if” thread, about if Sparta had been alone to face the Persians during the 2nd Persian-Greco War. Besides those two, I can’t think of any other historical matches.

While I think that there are many great generals in our relatively short history, I admire Hannibal more than all the others. There is a reason he is called the Annihilator and it doesn’t involve cake annihilation. Rommel was good, not the best though. The Duke is a contender, but I don’t think I should give him the honor as his greatest oppentent was hampered by a stomach problem. Da Khan…. he was good, but he had superior troops to win his battles.

Hannibal had a collection of ill-tempered celts, Numidians, and his own elite core of troops to somehow form a working army. He faced a twenty year long campaign in Italy, alone, outnumbered, and no reinforcements save the occasional band of celts. He marched his army through the Alps themselves, constantly harassed by both the terrain, weather, and celtic ambush. Perhaps the greatest thing that can be said is the fact that when Hannibal’s name was mentioned among the Romans, they would remark that he was the scourge of Rome. No one else can claim that.

    @Baron

Not making you out to be a fanboy at all. We all know we both are, but we can keep this logical and objective.

Given that most of Dan’s weaponry is Heaven-forged, and that we have seen Spirits of Vengeance survive attacks from angelic weapons (we see a black host angel killing the host of a Spirit of Vengeance, but the spirit simply finds another host immediately and continues fighting), I would say that there really is no hope for the knight.

Like I said, probably the only thing that might do anything to the Rider would be the drumsticks due to their polymorphing properties, but I think the fight will be over before Dan gets to use them.

I highly doubt even explosive drumsticks of heaven, would be able to keep Ghost Rider down. This is a being, who can truly take a beating, and reform. Facing down World War Hulk, his body gets trashed, and he comes back up a few seconds later (blows up an entire city block in the process) and then drives off into the sunset…..(well, chasing after Satan of course). I would nominate Ghost Rider for the factpile award.
