This is an interesting matchup, it simply is, but I think it might get screwed up if these ever fought because just send a woman to kill Carter and she’d probably succeed as long as they kept his partner from him.

Carter: I’m gonna tell you something. When people start shootin’, white people ain’t that cool. They either runnin’ around, hidin’ behind tables, or screamin’ like, “aah!”

Lee: Shh! – You sound like that all the time.

Carter: Let me tell you somethin’ about black people. When stuff goes down, we keep our cool.

Lee: Maybe, but not like Asians, we never panic.

Carter: Yeah, right! When Godzilla’s comin’, y’all be trippin’. I seen the movie. y’all be running round screaming, “gaica, gaica!”

Carter: A man like me?
Lee: You are devoted only to yourself. You’re ashamed of being a police officer, you dishonor your father’s name!
Carter: You don’t know nothing about my father.
Lee: You said your father is a legend.
Carter: My father WAS a legend. My father was killed making a routine traffic stop in broad daylight by some punk who didn’t want no ticket. His partner was supposed to get out of the car and back him up but never did. My father was just as devoted as you, and now he’s dead, and for what? A traffic ticket and some punk? You tell me, where’s the honor in that?
Lee: You believe your father wasted his life, that he died for nothing?
Carter: Prove me wrong.

“Which is the better franchise?”

I think that Lethal Weapon is far better than Rush Hour. Don’t get me wrong I liked the Rush Hour movies. One was good, two was good, three was ok. Granted Rush Hour is more of a comedy than an action movie. Lethal Weapon is has more action than comedy but the comedy it does have is works very well with the scene and at times adds to the scene and doesn’t slow it down. Lethal Weapon 1 was great, Lethal Weapon 2 was good, Lethal Weapon 3 was great, and Lethal Weapon 4 was good (I like how they get the feeling of being too old for the job and had to deal with it and overcome it in the 4th one.)

“Which one has the better actors?”

I love Jackie Chan and I kinda like Chris Tucker at times he can be annoying but not too bad that it ruins the movie. But Mel Gibson and Danny Glover worked well together and they’re pretty good.

“Which one has the better characters?”

While I like most of the characters in Rush Hour they are sadly forgetable. While in Lethal Weapon Gibson and Glover’s characters leave an impact and even the supporting characters leave an impact. From the Captain, the doctor who Gibson messes with her head just for laughs and even the villians leave some impact.

“Which one had more of an impact?”

I think Lethal Weapon has more Impact on the buddy cop series than Rush Hour. My guess because Rush Hour is more of a comedy (Which isn’t a bad thing) while Lethal Weapon is more of an action movie.

If I had to choose, it’ll be Rush Hour. Why? Simply due to how halarious those movies are! XD
