Rorschach Vs The Joker
Rorschach Vs The Joker

A twisted match of great masterminds. While I think in a straight up brawl Rorschach wins this, if the match is set up to plan an attack on the other, methinks the Joker pulls it out.

What do you think?

Sorry I’ve been gone for a while.
Anyway, I think this one goes to the clown. Rorschach simply isn’t as clever as the Joker, and he’d need to go through a lot of henchmen to even approach him. Plus the Joker has a ridiculous amount of weaponry such as rocket launchers, joker venom, etc. that could take out Rorschach with little difficulty.

Response to last phras on description…. Thats wahat your mom said last night.

Anyway… I say that if the match is planned… then the chances are 50-50

If the match happens right away with no warning, then Rorschach wins.

I agreed with Kenny C. that the chances are 50-50 however I think Joker will pull it off. Because the Joker even though has been known to plan out his attacks he is also to be random or at least his foes think that what he does is random. So I think because of that the Joker will win granted it will be bloodist fight of the century.

I think that in a straight fight that Rorschach would murder the Joker, however the Joker would probably make sure it never got to that and find another way to deal with Rorschach.

while id like to think Rorschach will win he dose not follow the same code as batman and for some bazaar reason when ever someone like that goes up against the joker they end up dead. it as if batman is the only person meant to counter joker. as if it was only he who has the power to kill joker but wont because he knows no man is meant to decide who lives or dies. any way while Rorschach is incredibly resourceful and clever (maybe even more so than batman in some cases) i honestly cant see him killing joker. maybe in some odd complex game of cat and mouse Rorschach would die attempting to kill joker and succeed. but that’s as close to victory as he gets. in the end joker gets the last laugh.

    why so serious?

by the way this would make a great graphic novel (or what if) both characters are owned by DC comics.

Well, ignoring projectile weapons, flame based weapons, and poisons, who has better hand to ahnd martial skills? I have a feeling that while The Joker has many hidden blades and can hit a target with a 7.62X.51 NATO round, he couldn’t aptly defend himself from a trained attacker… Just my .02

I think Joker would have trouble fighting Rorschach. He’s a completely different opponent to Batman. He’s just a ruthless and crazy as Joker, but it’s a completely different type of crazy.

I’d give the win to Rorschach, due to sheer rescourcefulness and unpredictability.

It really depends on if they have time to plan ahead. The Joker definitely wins when it comes to brains, and could probably develop a complex trap or something to beat Rorschach. Even Batman only beat the Joker by using superior technology, which Rorschach does not have.
If they do not have time to plan, however, Rorschach wins this hands down. He is a ruthless and superior fighter, in a profession where only the best stay alive. The Joker is not a physical villain, and in Dark Knight only ever went after Batman with one of his knives after one of his henchmen or puppies knocked him down.
I assume this is the Joker from Dark Knight and not the comic books based on the picture. Even if it is, my opinion is still the same.

For those of you who say Rorschach/Joker wins, I agree with both. Rorschach and the Joker are both crazy, but Rorschach has an understanding to what he says in both the graphic novel and the movie, WATCHMEN. He is strong, very agile, and when he has to,” No Compromise!” Rorschach is as resourceful as the Joker, and can adapt and use his environment. In the graphic novel and the movie he shows little pain in Antarctica, and the fight with Ozymandias. The Joker is as unpredictable as Rorschach, but most environments he cannot adapt to, and does not know Rorschach. No one in DC Universe knows Rorschach, therefore The Joker will never see him coming, with his face on or off. Sure, the Joker is a mastermind, But Rorschach can see past his tricks, lies, and make-up. Rorschach will hunt you down if you committed a crime without justice, and Jokers committed plenty. Rorschach wins, but in DC, Marvel, etc. there is always alternate worlds, dimensions, realities, etc. so everyone wins. Rorschach wins in this fight though.

Rorschach wins this fight. The joker relies on henchmen and set traps. Neither one was mentioned nor is it allowed for this. Thus it comes down to a brawl between the two. Something that Rory is far more suited for. We would end up seeing Joker fall off the top of a 40 story building laughing as he went. Rory would just shrug him off as a joke of a villain.

I agree with the general consensus.

Rorschach is a capable and resourceful enough detective to flush out or track down the Joker, and with no outside help or the like, he’ll be eating some knuckles soon after the meeting.

I don’t think he has any equipment either on his person that would be helpful.

If I recall correctly, that flower on his lapel does shoot acid out. But I don’t think a squirt of acid is going to be something Rorschach can’t deal with. Even if it hits him, he has the physical strength and personality to crush Joker’s skull or break something almost in an instant.

I thought it was Comedian vs. Punisher not Rorschach.

And as the people on that are saying, if Frankencastle is the current incarnation, Rorschach is getting pulped.

Likewise for Batman, but that’d be more about being outclassed in skill as opposed to strength like Frank would.

I do admit, Rorschach vs. Joker is a bit one-sided in Rorschach’s favor, but putting him in a grinder match isn’t the way to get back at him lol

Well let’s put him up against Bruce Wayne or frank castle when they are unarmed without any weapons nor costume…just a fist fight

There is another thread for Rorschach versus the Punisher, but I made comments about both battles with Punisher in them not knowing he was Frankencastle…
I know now though, but this debate, Rorschach for FP award+2, I gotta go…

Both of those people can beat Rorschach in a fist fight, and if it’s currently Frankencastle (which is now some monster type thing) it’s even more of a curbstomp.

I’d say Marv is one of Rorschach’s most even opponents, the debate kind of died since no one cares greatly enough about either, but neither one outclasses the other in a significant enough fashion.

Look around for some more unstable folks to fight with Rorschach, that aren’t completely out of his league like Frank and Bruce.

Not against Batman or Frankencastle he doesn’t.

The Marv one, could go either way. Rorschach has the bonus feat of going up against someone tougher than anyone in Sin City (Ozy) even though he got wrecked. But, I can’t make that call since I don’t know a significant deal about both others.

But Punisher severely outclasses Rorschach in brute power, and Batman severely outclasses Rorschach in technique and combat skill/prowess.

    Hm..

lol it might be, I know Brock is batshit crazy, but he’s taken out armies before. For isntance, do you think 10-15 policemen could take down Brock Samson?

eh.. that may be more of a stomp than Batman fighting him.

Maybe The Question would be okay, I think he’s based off of him anyway. I know nothing about The Question though.
