Here we have two my of my favorite ‘toons from the 80’s (Yes, I’m that old) – and while the Transformers may have been more popular, Robotech would win this battle with little trouble.
While the Transformers may have Unicron, Robotech have the Invid, Robotech Masters, and most importantly, protoculture.

ur both wrong. the transformers, can come in numbers
however, robotech would get pooned by so much reason, their piloted by humans, all the trans has to do is to aim for the chest with a laser blast or something. (That’s were the cokpit is)

given the large range of transformers size and power as well as all the planets and races that transform in that universe Robotech would get stomped via Omega supreme,Metroplex,Trypticon,Unicron,Primus,Devistator, and a whole host of other super powered transformers everyone who said robotech or for that matter gundam’s forgot about this is a universe war not just the autobots and decepticons vs robotech. but I must admit it would be a cool fight between an ajax and starscream

As much as I like Robotech, Transformers would own them hands down. Considering that it’s a universe war, Transformers in general are quicker based on the fact that they aren’e controlled by a pilot. They are the vehicle. Secondly, with things like insecticons, and mega transformers like Devastator (who apparently wasn’t even affected by Autobot weaponry) I doubt the standard weapons of the Robotech universe would do anything more as well. Then you’ve got Unicron, which would just either send them to oblivion, or eat the ships. . That’s just barely breaking the ice on TFs, so, although fanboys and girls will argue their favorite shows to death, logically, I’d give the win to Transformers.

I love both Robotech and Transformers.. However I think this would go Robotech.
If Invid, the Masters and Zentraedi are included under the robotech name Transformers is out of there league.. Robotech has Space craft that destroy cities and render planets lifeless.. Metroplex would be annihalated(sp?) from space.. If the Zentraedi or SDF-1 can’t destroy Unicron with there super laser, then they would just fly into him by the thousands and destroy him from the inside…. The Invid and Zentraedi conquer solar systems it’s what they are successful at doing.. Transformers would put up a cool fight, but will lose out in the end.

i must disagree,robotech forces couldnt do much to unicron.he was created by the creator of the multi-verse.he ate the whole multi-verse,and is a time/space traveler.

Transformers are the Autobot and Decepticons: Primus and Unicron do not fall into either side. To be even more precise, Transformers are all the ‘Children of Primus’ designed to fight Unicron. Primus can’t be his own kid. Unicron can’t be built by Primus to kill Unicron. They’re excluded.

Unicron and primus could only be destroyed using fold weaponry and even then, that is questionable.
The whole robotech series never did reach the planet killing scale that transformers dabbles in.
