Well, if this thing can deliver, it will certainly make for some fun ways to play games. Personally, I hope they keep this feature optional, as I wouldn’t want to have to play shooter games entirely this way. But, I’m sure this is a ways off before we see this for everyone.

I agree Admin, I do hope this is an optional function, because I wouldn’t be willing to play without my controller just yet.

So is this a camera or a motion sensor? Cuz I had the Eye toy for ps2 and I think microsoft might e a little late.

Sorry to say, but the PS3′s motion controls look so much better, and they’ve only been shown as a demo. Check them out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaQsXdKbUw8&feature=related
Although Project Natal seems like a good idea, It seems a little odd to me that there isn’t a controller of any sort. And if there are multiple people in the room, how does the system decide whom is playing? Can anyone clarify this? But in addition, this looks like an innovative and fun idea!

You will first have to aim with hands as steady as a spartan and then kill your opponent. Are you good with a rifle in the physical plane?

“Just a more advanced ripoff is natal.”
Yeah. Eyetoy was… alright. Natal looks badass. There’s nothing wrong with taking something run of the mill and one-upping it.

I think this could easilly wipe the floor with the wii, but the so would sixaxis if it were used more in games.
