This looks pretty decent – good to see a video game getting real treatment from the studios from someone not named Uwe Boll.

Interesting…….if it haves a decent plot, plus all that action, I might waste a couple of pounds for that……..

A video-game movie that might actually be worth seeing. An oxymoron, I know, but it has potential…

Why out of all people did they pick Bubble Boy to play him? Seriously?

Okay, aside from the fact that it has totally rewritten the entire overlaying plot from the Sands of Time Trilogy, that actually looks like a …good (?) videogame movie.

perhaps because it has taken liberties from the games will allow it to become a good film because its a thin line they can work with follow the game to tightly and its becomes boring take to much of liberty and it becomes ridiculous

It is one thing to take liberties with an established story, but it is another to wholely rewrite them into another thing entirely.
Take for instance the fact that the Prince is were the Warrior Within armor in that opening scene with the Medallion of Time imbedded in it; I doubt this will be a plot point or even mentioned in the film. Or the fact that the corruption of the Sands of Time seen from PoP:TTT that made the Dark Prince seems to be nothing more than a visual effect that he is using the rewind effect of the Dagger in this trailer; it is grossly inconsistant with the games as these are major plot points being dismissed as something that is nothing important other than that it looks cool.
I don’t like the fact that they gave the Prince a name either. One of the best scenes in the games is when the Prince avoids answering this question and at the same time proves to Farah that his “fantastic story” wasn’t just a fairy tail. It doesn’t look like they pull of the kiss scene the same way either, which is too bad because it was hilariously awesome in the game.
Still it should at least be entertaining enough to merit a watch as long as I stop thinking that it is actually going to follow the same story. VG movies that go totally off course from the games seem to actually turn out better than movies that try to be true to the games (at least as long as you don’t count sequals which always suck to no end). That is my opinion at least.
Gah! I’m so conflicted by this movie. The trailer looks good, it actually be a good movie if I don’t compare it to the SoT Trilogy, but the SoT Trilogy games are among my top favorite games ever because of the epic tale they tell, and Gah! I’m so conflicted on how I want this movie to turn out.

Looks good, I’ll watch it. Besides, the Prince of Persia story is so inconsistent that they might be able to get away with a few liberties. I still can’t get over how Twin Thrones just said ‘Remember what happened at the end of the last game? That’s not how it happened. It really happened like THIS!’

What are you talking about? Did you get the good ending of WW with the Water Sword where you kill the Dahaka and save the Empress?
