Jake was cleaning out his ears, when Tia entered the room. He didn’t notice
her at first. He was busy complaining about the blue oxyplasm he was
previously drenched in. It was disgusting, smelled bad, and was stuck
in uncomfortable places. He signs up for guarding this place, and when he
finally decides to give them a visit, they break his nose, and keep him as
a prisoner. He had finally gotten it out of his ears, when he noticed Tia.
He had recognized her while in the confinement tube, but only now had he
gotten a clear glimpse of her. She had changed since he last saw her, her
hair was darker than before, she had grown taller by a few inches, and she
was sporting a brand new pair of ears. She spoke first.
“It’s been a while, how are you?” She said without smiling.
“Oh, you know, it’s been great! I’ve had a wonderful time in the ally, It’s
nice in the winter.” The sarcasm in Jakes voice was easily recognizable and
matched his fake smile perfectly. “Outside in the cold, having to steal to
make a living. You guys are the best people to work with. Letting me keep
watch, disguised as a homeless person, not paying me, or even letting me
know if you are still there.”
“Communication with you of any kind could jeopardize our location and
existence.” Tia said looking down at her clipboard. “In fact, by regulation
I would be ordered to kill you right now.”
“Well thanks. I missed you too.” Jake felt that his day was getting better
and better. He wished he had never even heard of CB-Delta. Then he
remembered CB-Delta. “Hey, what happened to-”
“Your robot friend? He’s ok. We have him detained. Is he why you came down
here?”
“Yes, he came to me asking for help, and then proceeded to try and rip me
apart.” Jake put his hand on his now bandaged arm.
“We know. He seems to be infected with something. We will look into it
soon.”
“Good.” Jake said relaxing a bit. He was then zapped in the neck by Tia with
an electric prod.
“Good? You brought in a virus from the outside. It could be monitoring our
machines! You should be killed for that, by all regulations.”
Jake was not too surprised. This seemed to be his lucky day. “Is there
anything else that I should be killed for? I seem to be on a roll.
Tia looked at her list. “Oh yes. You are definitely on a roll. Get dressed
and meet us down in research lab A. We need info from you about your
friend.” She turned to leave.
“By the way, if I am supposed to be killed, how come you haven’t shot me
yet?”
“I argued that you are the only one with information about the robot you
came in with, and your survival was granted.” Tia turned to leave again,
stopped, and turned back around. This time her voice and expression were
softer.” Jake, It really is nice to see you again.”
“Oh so you did miss- ACK!” Jake was cut off by an electric shock to the
neck.
Jake walked down the hall towards the main desk, where he would have a room assigned to him. He couldn’t help wonder what was with the ears Tia had, and the… everything that Tony had, and how the heck Tia was able to raise to such a high rank of authority so fast? He would have a lot to ask her when he was finally settled into his room. Could it be his new home instead of out on the streets? He looked up to see the main desk was empty. There was a folded paper sign sitting on the desk that read “out for lunch. If you need help, feel free to leave a note, and I will trash it as soon as I can. Thanks. Sunny.”
A look of excitement swept over Jakes face. Sunny works here still? Jake considered Sunny one of his best friends, paying no attention to the countless murder attempts. Sunny was the last person Jake ever expected to see here. Especially since he received a notice stating that Sunny had died and his body was donated to the local daycare center. Oh well.
Jake was about to leave when he heard a rustle. He looked past the desk to the window of an office. The blinds had been moved. Jake knew immediately that it was Sunny. In excitement, Jake ran towards the door. He stopped suddenly realizing how ridiculous he looked. He had to act calm. He walked the rest of the way, and knocked on the door. He then threw himself to the ground as a loud boom resounded through the building. When he looked at the door he had been standing in front of, he found that it had newly added bullet holes that weren’t there before. The door then opened and out stepped Sunny carrying a shotgun.
“Did I get him!?” He said looking around. He then spied Jake laying flat on the ground. “Oh,” he said expression turning sour. “Hey Jake.” He held out a tentacle and helped him up. “So, how did you get down here? Is it take in the trash day?”
“Sunny! How has it been?” Jake said, too excited to notice Sunny’s last comment.
“Oh it’s been great Jake, just great. In fact I was just about to have a good day. What do you want?”
“I was told to come here to be assigned a room.” Jake said, walking into Sunny’s office. “Wow! You have a nice place here. Cool shotgun by the way, when did you get it?”
“Oh, when I heard you were coming.” Sunny said putting it on a shelf. He walked over to a large pile of papers rising to the ceiling. “Let’s see.”
Jake awed at the large pile of papers. “What’s that?”
“This, my good sir, is a collection of all the used and vacant rooms in the facility. One of these lucky rooms will be yours.”
“Well, which one is it?” Jake said scratching his head.
“Don’t rush me. I have a very precise process.” Sunny then closed his eyes, and pulled out a paper. “This one!” Immediately the top half of the stack collapsed onto Jake. “See! I knew that was the one I wanted.”
Jake struggled to get out of the immense pile of papers. Once he finally was able to get out Sunny handed him the paper. Jake looked at the mess on the floor. “How are you gonna clean this up Sunny?”
“Oh don’t worry. I can handle it.” He then clicked a button.
After a while Jake saw a man come through the door. He seemed very upset.
“Yes Sunny?” He said.
“Clean this mess up for me.” Sunny twirled his tentacle at the pile of papers on the floor. The man immediately got to work cleaning. Jake walked over to sunny.
“Why’s he so upset?” Jake whispered.
“Oh he’s just whining about his cat. It died.”
“Oh, that is sad.”
“No, not really. It’s been dead for years.”
“Really? You would think he would be over it already.”
“Tell me about it.”
Jake looked at his paper. The room floor plan looked nice. He couldn’t believe he was going to get to live in a real room. Then Jake noticed there was already a name on the list. “Bill R. Jones”. “Hey Sunny. Someone’s already using this room.”
Sunny took the paper from him. “Let me see. We can move him out.” He looked at the name. “Well how convenient! He’s right here.” Sunny turned to Bill who was still cleaning up the papers. “Bill, your out.” He then grabbed Jake and walked out of the office. “You go ahead to the lab, and I’ll take care of Bill. Ok?” Jake nodded in slight confusion. In that state he would have agreed to anything. Once the door closed behind him, he shook his head to snap out of it, and proceeded to the lab.
He reached the lab, and was greeted by two children jumping on him. Jake struggled to get up off the floor. He wasn’t told that there were kids. Jake despised kids with a passion. Every time one saw him, they would jump on him, like they had never seen a cat/person before. He was eventually pulled off the ground by Tony.
“Alright, get off of him.” He said to the children. They let go of him and dropped to the ground. Just then Tia came around the corner.
“I see you’ve met the twins.” She said. “They seem to like you.”
Jake was not impressed. “So how come you guys allow children to run around and pounce on people down here.”
“Because these children also happen to be geniuses. They are full paid employees, and are of a higher authority than you, so I’d advise you to respect them.”
“Joy! That’s gonna be fun.” Jake paused. “By the way, can you put me down?”
Tony dropped him.
“Oh,” Tia said. “You don’t actually know their names do you?”
“No, I thought I was just going to call them Sir.”
Tia called the twins over. They dropped all they were doing (rather carelessly), and came over and stood in front of Jake. “Jake this is, Matthew and David Vandel. They are the two youngest quantum scientists in the world.”
Jake looked at both of them. Matthew was short with brown hair. He seemed to have a look of bliss in his eyes. David was taller, black hair, with a more serious look on his face.
Tony handed Jake two files, one for each Vandel. David Barton Vandel, and Matthew H. Vandel. Jake wondered what the “H” stood for. He then heard the door open behind him. Sunny came walking in with a keyboard, mouse, laptop, another mouse, a top of the line wireless router, and a soda. He went over to a lab table and immediately started setting up.
Jake was confused. He leaned over to Tia. “What is he doing here?”
Tony, who was on Jakes other side answered him. “He’s here to help your friend.”
Tia pulled out a remote and clicked a red button. The wall opened up, and a glass case holding CB-Delta appeared. He seemed to be deactivated. He was no longer wearing card board and was attached to many different wires. “Are we ready Sunny?” Sunny held up a tentacle in the shape of a “thumbs up sign”. “Alright, Activate.”
The room started glowing blue, as an electric current was sent into the glass case. CB-Delta’s eyes started glowing green, and he began shaking violently.
“What’s going on?” Jake said, slightly worried. “Is everything going to be ok?”
Tia looked at Jake. “We are just removing the virus from your robot friend. It’s going well. In fact it’s almost done.”
Jake saw sunny duck under the table. He came back out wearing a bishops cloak, and hat, and holding a crucifix. “BE GONE, EVIL DEMON!!!” He yelled as the flashing blue light in the room changed to red, and then to green. Tia and Tony stared at Sunny in great annoyance. Jake didn’t know what to think. He looked at CB, feeling bad for him. It looked like he was suffering. There was then a flash of light. When Jake could see again, he noticed that everyone else was wearing goggles. But before he could say anything, he saw in another glass case a black mass that glowed green. It was in the shape of a human, and was rather aggravated. It was slamming it’s hands against the glass causing sparks of green light to illuminate the room.
“We got one!!!” Sunny yelled. He slammed his hand onto the keyboard, shutting everything down. He then picked up his laptop, and joined everyone gathered around the virus. The door to CB-Delta’s case opened, and he slowly woke up.
“Well,” Tia said to the virus. “You’ve seemed to cause a lot of trouble.” She then turned to sunny. “Ready to delete it?” She said. Sunny quickly ran back behind the desk, and ducked down, coming back up with a black executioners mask.
“All ready.” He was just about to push the button when he heard a cry.
“Wait!” shouted Matthew running up to the case containing the virus. “Don’t do that!” He looked at Sunny. “You can’t erase him. He’s mine!”
Tia shook her head. “Matthew, what are you talking about?”
The boy then ran out of the room, and returned shortly with a picture, drawn in crayons. It was covered in formulas, had the name “Mr. Happy” at the bottom, and right in the middle was a picture of the Mass Havoc Virus. He held it up against the glass. It got the attention of MH, and he bent down to look at the picture.
Strange. Even though he had forgotten his memory, he seemed to remember this child. Or at least an adult version of him. From what he could remember this person would grow up to be his master, or something like that. MH had no idea how it made sense, but none the less, this was his creator, just, before he made him.
Matthew stared at MH in wonder. “Are you from the future?”
Tia looked at the picture. She held it up to Sunny. “How? I watched him draw this five days ago! How did he know?”
Sunny shrugged, slightly enjoying the idea of a time paradox. “Maybe it is his creation. It really doesn’t matter. That reaction, I wouldn’t have the heart to delete him now.”
Tia looked at Sunny in annoyance. “Yes, because you have such a big heart.”
They all turned there heads towards MH as they heard the glass door open. Matthew had opened it himself. They all froze in terror. Matthew ran up to MH and hugged around his leg. “Mister Happy!!!” MH wasn’t sure how it al worked but he was happy to be reunited with his creator. He kneeled and gave him a hug back. Sunny wiped a tear from his eyes. Jake looked at him.
“What?” Sunny said. “I’m just so happy.”
Jake rolled his eyes.
As MH and Matthew went into another room with David close behind, Jake overheard Tia talking to Tony. “I don’t like this. I don’t like this at all.”
“Relax. They obviously know each other. I don’t know how, but by the looks of things, it should be alright.” Tony started to walk away. “Besides, now you can study the virus, without it trying to kill every one.” He left the room.
Tia sighed. “I guess your right.” She looked at Jake. “It’s late. Get some rest. We will see how things are in the morning.” She turned to leave. Jake still wanted to ask her some questions, but the idea of sleeping in a real bed was too much. He rushed past her out of the room.
Again, This time there are no idea submissions. Not because I don’t like you, but this part is so long I have to introduce it in multiple parts, so there will be a few, where the story is already decided. Sorry for the long wait for this one. I’ve had one stroke of bad luck after the next. Hope the wait was worth it… or at least… nevermind.
Still, feel free to comment
Thanks.

Hmm, i’m kinda confused about a few things.
Also, as one writer to another i know how you feel about problems and RL getting in the way of writing. Thats the main reason FP SP hasnt been updated yet. A lot of things come up when you least expect it.
