First time for each of these characters to appear on FactPile. I have to admit that I’m not too familiar with the Pokemon universe, but I do know that these two are trainers. So, instead of them using pokemons to battle, these two will go in and have to fend for themselves.

Shame, that could have been an interesting match up. Without them, Misty wins this. She’s older, she’s wiser, she’s enough of a swimmer that her thighs could crush a humans skull without any real amount of effort.

The plural is Pokemon, not Pokemons.
Ugh, that brings back bad memories of how I would have to constantly correct my brother whenever he said, “Pokemans.”
Without Pokemon in the picture, it’s really anybody’s game, since they’re both perpetual ten-year-olds and neither really has the strength or the cruel determination to really win a battle to the death.
If they actually fight with Pokemon, however, then May would win. Her teams, whether in the Anime or the games, always has much better type-diversity than Misty’s all-water crew. All May would need to do is play one electric or grass pokemon, and Misty would be toast.

That was something I always noticed of the series….Ash never finished going through puberty……and they never seem to go to school? What type of parent would allow their child to have a 4th grade education and go running around the world, fighting a team of 2 adults that always get launched into the air after they lose a battle? Got to admire Anime…..

1 may doesn’t have any electric pokemon.
2 all misty would need to do is use mainly is gyarados it’s hydro pump takes out blaziken and it’s flamethrower takes out glaceon, venusaur, and beautifly, munchlax wartortle and skitty might take a little longer but none of them know any electric attacks so may would be a gonner

That doesn’t completely make up for the fact that every other Pokemon on Misty’s team is vulnerable to grass-type attacks. If Gyrados isn’t able to handle the whole team by itself, then Venusaur would destroy most of Misty’s team in response. Wartortle would be significantly harder for Gyrados to take, as it has fairly high defense for its level and is resistent to both fire and water type attacks. Gyrados’ best bet would be to use Hyper Beam, which leaves it unable to battle for a short period afterwards.
Of course, it could potentially go either way, especially in Anime battles, which are much more wont to deliver upsets either way than the game equivalents.
