FUCK YOU Microsoft for making me want to pay $99 to repair yet ANOTHER console of yours? A supposedly ‘Elite’ system which I had to purchase last year the DAY after Halo 3 was released since I got the Rings of Death?.
Last week the frozen screen appeared, that was fun. And then a few times I would get a black screen of nothing – the same screen you get when someone quite in Halo 3 multi-player and the system scrambles to re-synchronize itself. And more freezing.
So I called tech support, jumped through all the hoops, did all the stupid ‘online fixes’ available at your support center online. Big help that was. Spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with constant apologies. Guess what? Apologies won’t make my xbox work again, FUCKTARDS.
Yeah, so now you want me to pony up $100 to fix YOUR FUCKING problem? When I can goto ebay and get another system for $139?.
Hey, I know stuff breaks but to want to try and gouge me to fix what you STILL can’t get right is total Bullshit.
I know I am just one of millions of people who buy your products and just a little piss-ant like myself won’t make a dent in your corporate billions.
Funny line the tech support told me while I was on hold: ‘Hey, isn’t Halo 3 a great game?”
My reply – “Sure, when you can play it”.
Oh, and yet another bonus from Microsoft. Last week I got a PC with Vista on it. Funny thing is, if you walk away from the computer for more than an hour – you also get a frozen screen there too.

sounds like you had a bad experince,i didnt get rrod but when i was on the phone it took less then 5 minutes.
but dont worry,they are releasing jasper chips so the 360 doesnt heat up that much.so the failure rate will go down.but hey,if you get another problem alot of online fixes(like x-clamp) work.

Bill gates Microsoft are the most greedy and controlling asses I have ever seen. Should we pay for every thing for xbox? I’m talking about things like having to pay a hundred bucks to make it wireless compatable. And where is our web browser? Both ps3 and wii got em. But no, they would rather have us buy dells loaded with their programs like that glitchy shit vista.

Whine, whine; its your option to buy an xbox, if you think the upkeep for the thing is too great then you didn’t have to buy it. Maybe its just because I had a well paying job while I was in high school but it seems like alot of the prices are trivial.
I’ve never really had a problem with either of the 2 Xbox 360s I bought, none of my games have ever even frozen up….Plus really like vista, call me crazy but I like vista more than XP by a considerable deal.

Now I will admit that companies have no excuse to make a faulty good, I just get sick of people complaining about their stuff, maybe because I personally have never had a problem (yes I know it sounds selfish). And yes, it is way out of line to charge money for a repair brought on by faulty manufacture, but I always thought if was free if you got the red ring? Hmm, my friend got it once, I guess I never asked if it cost him any cash.

Maybe I was being a bit dramatic, but you have to admit microsoft pulls some bullshit. No offense, but if money is no object for you don’t think that every one can just go get every game and accessory on a whim. The dough is a problem for some of us so don’t be an ass when we say microsoft should at least throw us a bone once in a while.

heres how i see it, there needs to be a system durable enough to withstand almost everything. 20 story drop, overheating, sledgehammer, etc etc. i think that microsoft just dummped a helluva lot of there copmuter leftovers to make the 360.

No electronic needs to be that overbuilt, except maybe in military applications. People just need to treat their electronics right, perform regular maintenance and not abuse the things and they’ll last (what we are talking about here is different). Its like a car, take care of it and it will last longer. Course I do blame our disposable society, where low quality manufacture is accepted just because they think we’ll upgrade in a year to 2. Everything has been under built in recent years, especially these fruity Asian cars.

wow u guys suck for hating on microsoft. i have had 1 360, had it modded and i have never been happier, u guys suck with technology and should stick to the gameboys and pokemon red and blue games and about the costs of a 360, heres what you do buy a xbox arcade console and get a hard drive off ebay or find a used one that way thats what i did and i had enough money to get my 360 modded for 40 bucks afterwards

I have thought about selling my 360 and games to get a ps3, but I just couldn’t, I love xbox live too much. You develop a sort of bond with an xbox 360, hard to explain. It might be a lagbox 360, but it’s my lagbox 360.

Exactly why I love the PS3. The only disadvantage a PS3 has to a 360 is the fact that Xbox Live has been in production as long as the X-box has.
In other words Microsoft sucks.
Btw I used to be a Nintendo fanboy until Nintendo turned their backs on the hardcore gamers. The Wii has sucky graphics, sucky games except for a select few, oh a sucky controller. I hope that Nintendo just flat out says “screw the wii and make something that keeps a hardcore gamers attention.” I liked the Gamecube, Nintendo needs more systems like that and the N64.
All I can say now is that Sony was the only one to turn to and they have never failed me.
