Metallica Vs Led Zeppelin

This is a very tough match for me to decide. Both bands are legendary in what they’ve accomplished and one could argue that both have had tremendous influence on other players as well as what’s heard on the radio. I never got to see Zeppelin play live whereas I’ve seen Metallica many times over. For that reason only, I’ll give the nod to the Four Horsemen.

One does get annoying, but those are just people who are Guitar Hero nerds that never actually listened to Metallica before they heard that song.

if you took all of the band members and put them against each other one on one the Zeppelin boys would come out on top, i mean there wouldn’t even be a Metallica, and seriously dont even try to bring Nirvana into this cuz they suck compared to both of these bands

this is embarrassing. Led Zeppelin is much better and more diverse. Coming from a guy who owns and loves Kill ‘Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, …And Justice For All, The Black Album and Death Magnetic. Led Zeppelin is the better band.. Just listen to Achilles Last Stand….beats any epic metallica song even Master Of Puppets, One and Creeping Death.

Led Zeppelin blows Metallica away like nothing, i mean seriously, Led Zeppelin has been around since 1968 and Metallica wasn’t around until 1981, that gives Led Zeppelin an advantage over Metallica. Second, Metallica was inspired by Led Zeppelin, that means no Led Zeppelin, no Metallica, that’s another landslide advantage for Led Zeppelin. Third, Led Zeppelin’s 9 albums have sold over 200 million’s while Metallica, with 9 albums has well only sold 100 million, another overwhealming round for Zeppelin here.

Look guys, there’s just no comparison here, no comparison at all, you would all be cocky fools if you think that Metallica would actually stand a chance against Led Zeppelin, it’s just plain nonsense.

Zep =overrated to me. And who said Zep inspired Metallica? I think Sabbath would have something to say there.That is metal!
Zep is NOT metal it’s souped up blues. Sabbath=true birth of metal. Metallica = true perfection of metal.

Besides Zeppelin never sounded as good live as they did on LP and there is the proof of a good band. You can over produce a song to perfecrtion but if you can’t pull it off live then what’s the point?

Just listen to any Live Zep vintage song vs any live vinatge Metallica and you’ll see.Page is sloppy live and Metallica is tighter and HEAVIER!
