Here is a match in which if MC fights at a distance, the victory is all his. However, should the Scorpion King get in close (in either form) I think the Chief would be toast.

John-117 has this.
While he would dominate at ranged since his battle rifle outclasses mathuys’s bow in all categories but stealth, SPARTAN-IIs are no slouches in close combat. With their strength and reflexes they can easily overpower normal fighters and their training is on par with lifetime martial artists.

Hahahahahaha this isn’t a fight it’s murder, a skilled warrior from the bronze-age vs an enhanced super-soldier from the future. Even if Master Chief had no armour, shielding or weaponry this would be a slaughter, even if The Scorpion King is in his monster form he still loses this easily. As you can probably tell I’m not really a fan of the Scorpion King film, I think it’s poorly acted, cheesy and ridiculous. However what I’m saying is still true even if I am biased against the Scorpion King.

I started writing my post before your one had come up yet that’s why I didn’t take it into account. However I’m not sure that when he in his Scorpion form that you HAVE to use the spear, it’s not explicitly stated as such and we have no comparison of other weapons being used on him.

In his Scorpion form as the servant of Anubis, the SK might have enough durability to outlast MC, but if he’s fighting as a human, then I don’t see any chance of him winning at all.
SK is incredibly strong and skilled with his chosen weapons, but MC has superhuman strength and reflexes to match or exceed him, plus heavy armor and shields to protect him from the SK’s blows. Add onto that, MC has a load of technological goodies that the SK would never expect nor understand. I don’t think he could dodge rockets, plasma, or a hail of bullets.

Actually…SK could win if it was his post-exile form. Some time after taking over the kingdom, he started a worldwide campeign with an unmatched army but at a certain battle he lost and his army was exiled. While in the desert, he made a pact with Anubis and gained Anubis’ army to overun his enemies before being taken by the god. If this battle is when he has control of the jackel armies, then Master Chief has no way of surviving. But if he is his standard situation, the man is ruined.

I am guessing no. In all seriousness, MC wins this (it pains me, but it is true). I don’t even think that any of SK’s bronze age weapons could pierce through MC armor. Then you add the fact, that MC is a super solder, with superhuman reflexes and strength, SK wouldn’t be able to last in a physical close quarter combat. Next, we add in 2500′s basaltic weapons (which is thankfully, more efficient and lethal than Bronze Age bow and arrow). SK will be in the ground with a hole in his forehead, before the first minute passes of the match.

Given that MC can just gun him down from a distance with ease long before SK can get close enough to attack, has superhuman reflexes at close range, and is strong enough to take out his opponent in one blow, I don’t think that scenario is too likely. Maybe, if everything goes perfectly, the SK could win 1 in 100 battles against the Chief like that. If he can sneak up on him.
