A couple of things, one: I used the luck as an joke mostly, and it realy wouldn’t affect the fight at all really, two: the spartin from the haloid video is a spartin made for a fighting game that wanted to use master chief but bungie said no and gave them her instead. The novels do not count as canon. Since the games were made FIRST, they are what should be used to calculate MC’s strength and skills and whatnot. The books power him up to make the story more exciting. Like I said before, if the games were based on the books, then I would agree and say that Master Chief is as powerful as he is the books.

All canon material is useable, otherwise we could only use one comic for comic-book characters, or only use the movies for Star Wars. You can’t pick and choose what you choose to use in gauging a characters power.

If Nintendo commissioned a book that said that Samus could shoot mega-lasers out of her eyes, well we would have to take that as “fact”, despite how loathe many would want to use it, we would do it because the creators authorized something that said so.

That’s how this site has worked so far, so you can be an ass and ignore it but everyone else will be sensible.

Its also common “courtesy” to gauge the most powerful versions of something unless that more powerful stage is the result of various outside circumstances or devices only exclusive to the source of information. IE Iron man can choose other armors (because they are part of his persona, equipment and ultimately one in the same), but some guy who needs to go to the Mountain of Eternity to the Well of Power to get his powers would be stuck.

I notice a lot of dislike/hate/whatever about the books not being canon to the games and whatnot. I might also point out that bungie themselves point out that the games are more canon than the books, like in the following quote:

That being said, I didn’t say the books weren’t canon full stop. I said they weren’t canon to the games. There is a key difference here, and I believe that Bungie apparently agrees with my assessment. Don’t forget that her shields are built into her body, not her suit. So yeah. She’s still pretty much invincible to Chief’s weaponry.
And David, you complain about people who bring up sex, which is completely out of the question, yet then try and argue about removing Samus’s suit?
If someone had to remove Samus’s suit without her permission, it would have to be done so surgically (as is shown in Metroid Fusion). Samus can also put on her suit in virtually no time, as she does not even have to put it on, so to speak. She can make it to appear around her whenever she pleases.

To refrain from helping a possible troll, I’m not going to further debate your ridiculous idea.

MC would lose because of several reasons:
1. Master Cheif has ammo. Samus does not. While he’ll need to reload, Samus can still keep firing at him.
2. Plasma nade wouldn’t do shit. The Space Pirates fired things at her stronger than Plasma nades that hit and she still killed them all. All it’d do is take out a whole energy tanks. Great job Chief! 13 left to go!
3. Sniping be useless: Samus’s visors would already see him before he shot. Then she’ll grapple up and thats it for him.
4. Samus can use the hacking visor from MP2 Multiplayer and screw up Chiefs ability to see.
5. We all have seen from Metroid other M that she has him at physical combat.
6. Samus has hella more powerful equipment. Her missiles blow Chief’s ass up.
7. Surprise attacks are out of the question: Samus’s other visors could see him through walls and equipment. No surprise attack for the Chief.
8. None of the Chiefs optional gear would help him. There’s no way he’d inflict enough damage to begin with so Bubble shield is useless: She’s walk in and shoot him. She’d use the grappling beam and just throw him out of the Regenerator. Chief wouldn’t even get remotely close to him with eletric thingy.
Radar Jammer is ineffective because she still has the Echo visor: She’ll see him moving still through the walls. Flare and mine is about the only things I can see working.

Samus > Cheif

John’s shields will totally collapse against a weapon that has a wattage of a best possible of 300,000 Watts powering it

Samus’s weaker weapons have around 2,000,000,000,000 watts powering it.

Take a good look at those numbers.

300,000 watts to break John’s shields vs 2,000,000,000,000 watts to cause extremely minor damage to Samus.

Samus wins by a land slide.

Kelly is the fastest Spartan. The absolute fastest. There are no Spartans faster than her. She can run up to 38.5 MPH in an undetermined amount of time.

Samus can hit supersonic. That means at the very least Samus can hit 761.2 MPH, and we can actually clock her doing it so we know that she can attain that speed in about 2 seconds.

Samus is faster, has bigger guns, and better shields, and has a much greater arsenal to utilise at any given moment. She has more options open to her and her normal abilities allow her to content with John’s enhancements.

He really doesn’t have a chance in hell to beat her.

Samus received genetic and cybernetic enhancements as well. At the age of 5 she could jump off of cliffs and make craters in the ground. All without the suit and completely unharmed. Samus is strong enough to hold off the jaws of a dragon that can eat through starship hulls and is fast enough to shoot accurately while moving at the speed of sound. MC simply doesn’t match up.

Yes, she is going to stop him because she has gone through armies of Metroids, Space Pirates, Ing, X-Parasites, and Phazon Creatures, any one of which could destroy MC. And no, you are completely wrong. Samus is still superhuman outside of the suit due to her genetic and cybernetic enhancements. Her strength and speed are all natural, as the suit does not increase these abilities.

This is just blatant fanboyism. Logic dictates that the stronger side wins, and the Metroid science has been repeatedly proven. I’m sorry, but Metroid has numbers backing up all of its claims, and Halo is simply too weak. Thus Samus defeats Master Chief.

Of course there is going to be bias, but that is why we have accumulated these facts. And the fact is thus: Master Chief loses due to inferior strength, speed, defense, and firepower. Intelligence is more or less equal.

Okay my friend, I’m gonna have some fun with this. First off, It’d be better to have some who has played both games, rather than neither. I have, and I love them. Metroid however, is just too freaking powerful.
No, I have not read the books, but practically study the lore of Halo, and know about most of the obscure facts (Grunts nearly ruined the Covenant, Avery Johnson is a Spartan-I etc.) I am well aware of the Spartans’ augmentations. (BTW, when stating your OPINION about the armor, don’t reference his augmentations, stupid. Also, this is FACTpile. As in “NOT YOUR OPINIONpile” We don’t care about your opinion. Master Chiefs armor can be pierced by bullets. Samus’ armor can’t be pierced) Those augmentations however, just don’t stand up to Samus, who, can run faster than the fastest Spartan, is stronger than the strongest spartan, has more firepower than most capitol warships, and is just about the same intelligence level as John(maybe smarter considering she was raised by the Metroid equivalent of the Forerunners, to put it in your perspective. she also has their superhuman abilities, in case you can’t tell.) Here’s one thing that may piss you off: John has been wounded and nearly crippled in a battle against a Brute(read: big dumb gorrilla type nigga) wheras Samus has NEVER been wounded in such a way. Worst part is, in the armor, it’s still pretty easy to kill Chief, wheras outside of the armor, it’s still pretty hard to kill Samus. Metroid and Halo are equally logical (sure, Metroid has handheld weapons that could kill a Halo starship, and what the hell is with the bitches rolling around in balls? BUT, Spartans are extremley fast and strong in the books, but not in the game. flipping vehicles is supposed to be a spartans defining trait in game, but now, ODST’s can do this too. ODST’s are average humans. And Who the HELL told the prophets that having a military force of mainly GRUNTS was a good idea?) for all thier faults at logic, they are great games, and we should just appreciate them for what they are: GAMES!!!!11!!
