A little twist for this match. Instead of pitting these two against each other – which one makes for a better leader and why?

Optimus Prime, Master Chief isn’t synonymous with leader in my mind. Optimus Prime, in this category, is better matched against Captain America or Superman.

Prime has a significant strength and durability advantage here of course. While I think MC will be difficult to kill simply due to his training and strategic planning, (Unless both were just plopped into a ring – Then Prime takes it rather easily) I just don’t see how he’s going to put Prime down. 1 on 1, Prime is on another level than MC.

Prime wins unless there’s vehicles and heavy duty weapons involved.

Master Chief: Petty Officer, assault commander for a select group of the Naval special forces branch codenamed SPARTAN-II.

Optimus Prime: Grand commander of the Autobots, a a faction of sentient robots that have waged a perpetual war throughout the entirety of the universe. The most revered hero in the known galaxy.

Just on scale alone, Optimus is clearly the better leader.

Master Chief isn’t really a leader. He goes solo most of the time and answers to authority constantly. Prime on the other hand, is one of the greatest fictional leaders ever.

MC is both a leader lone wolf. He has been a leader since he was aroud 9. The onl reason he is a lone wolf in the games is that most SPARTANs were gone. He has also been a leader longer than a lone wolf. He always puts his team before himself. Both are exellent leaders. However,I’ve never seen Optimus lead more than around 5 other autobots. MC has led more than 100 troops at Sigma Octavnous 4. Both continusly show leadership. Optimus can easily handle leadership when he is aginst enemys with lower strength but higher numbers, or equal strength and equal numbers. MC can use his leadership to coordinate attacks wih only 5 in a team against muliple thousands that have supirior fire-power.

I think Kurt-051 would be a better match in leadership.

Master Chief outranks most of the UNSC, so technically he COULD lead, but on the other hand I think the transformers could hold their own without optimus prime.

Master Chief Petty Officer is higher than staff sargent. Try Sargnt Major. Either way MC is the highest of the enlisted ranks for the navy.

Wow I’m glad to see less stupid avatars with standard faces and people actually taking time to do something for once.

Anyways I like Optimus as a better leader then MC. MC does mostly go solo and Optimus has commanded tons of other bots to fight for him. MC is a great leader as well but for the most part he works alone after everyone else dies. I could see MC driving Optimus prime but still Optimus is the better leader.

Mc is a great leader. He manged to keep blue team alive threw nurmoers missions. However, so is optimus. It is really hard for me to say who was a better leader, I would have to say optimus, mostly for destorying himself for the greater good half the time. However, who would win in a battle if both sides where given 100 marines, each side would be identically the same, and the leaders could not join in?

Like the_man_with The_Answers said, the only reason why Master Chief is a lone wolf is that most of his comrades died during the fall of Reach. He has been leader for at least a few decades. I’m sure if MC was around just as long as Optimus Prime has in the media, people might have a different opinion about who is the better leader.

yes he will the game shows him as a mainly a lone wolf but in the books he lead blue team through some of the most fubar situations ever optimus never lead more than about 5 bots before so chief isn’t really outmatched

Optimus Prime, I think would have a definite advantage here. He is so big, he could just crush a any spartan, any day. But, since this is a leadership test, I think it is a little bit varied. I, personally would still have Optimus Prime, because of his huge ass guns. But, he lacks in strategy and tactical areas that Master Chief excels in.

Master Chief has the luck, the unbreakable calmness, focus and determination and the courage, but Optimus has Sam, the badass autobots and the respect for everything. I’m not sure who would be a better leader.

Leadership match eh? I must say the big firetruck wins this hands down. MC is a fine leader for a spec ops, but Prime has the ability to inspire people. MC has this too, but he lacks Prime’s charisma and kindness, which isn’t the sort of thing the UNSC wanted to teach their supersoldiers who were originally trained to deal with revolutionaries.

Optimus Prime leads a lot of Autobots. And Master Chief usually does missions alone. Plus, Master Chief barley speaks, how can he lead a team is he doesn’t talk?. Optimus prime leads better.

Anyway, Still Optimus, if I were a giant metal robot that could turn into an inconspicuous vehicle, I’d want to be lead by Prime.

If I were a UNSC Marine, hell I’d be dead in a minute, tops… that’s not good for a lone wolf that can singlehandedly turn everything into hell…

In a fight between these two, there are many possibilities. If MC was armed with the spartan laser, he could blow a hole right through Primes chest and extinguish his spark. Prime could use that mongo rape cannon or energy axe on MC, but it would be hard to land a hit on him because he’s so fast. But either one of those would kill MC if they hit him. Also, MC is so strong and fast that he could just punch holes in Prime. Or Prime could just squish the Chief. But when it comes to leadership ability, Prime wins hands down. Not only is he king of an entire planet, MC is just more of a lone wolf.
