So, another reader request. Personally, I’ve never played Resident Evil, but friends have told me that it’s a fantastic horror-action game. I’ll take their word for it and we’ll let you, dear reader, decide who would win this match up:

Master Chief just needs a flamethrower or some grenades for this fight. Other than that, he just needs to back away some to avoid being hit. Faster zombie, but still not fast enough.

ok master chief would have to dodge 2 or 3 rockets and get in close to win this fight i think if he has the energy sword he could end it early. if not then it would be a long battle to bring down the nemisis he would need thousands of rounds witch is unrealistic. so best bet sniper 1 head shot or energy sword head rollin. or a plasma gernad to the head.

Kickass first comment. Mc would have to drain a few good clips into this roid ragin zombie. Mc could eventually take him but not easily IF he had cover from the rockets and rail gun. More than likely this would be a tie or a long fight. Chief would get owned or win giving it all hes got.

Chief Killed the Gravemind and hoards of flood. The flood had rockets, snipers, swords, and all other types of weapons and chief still kicked #ss. One big zombie is just easier to take down. Spartan laser and or flamethrower= Zombie-Q. - edited for language, admin

is this nemesis from the film only or are we allowed to take into what he was like in the resident evil game, which or those who don’t know is resident evil three. In the game you can put as many bullets and rockets into the bugger as you want and he keeps getting. granted usually after you have had time to leg it. In fact the way he is stopped in that I think is when they tactically nuke racoon city. That put him down. Anyway my point is as the chief has nothing in his arsenal like a nuke I gonna say nemesis will win this as master chief will nock him over a few times….may be even do a little celebartory dance but nemesis will just keep getting up…..

In my playthrough of Resident Evil 3, I remember Nemesis getting hit, gunned, machine-gunned, chain-gunned, blasted, slaughtered, hit by a train, burned with acid, and blasted by some freakishly oversized wierd, super-powerful electric gun, and stay alive. I’m not sure he even died with the atomic bomb (Resident Evil 6: Nemesis Returns! that would be wierd, but not too surprising), MC would get killed with the chaingun just trying to get through his first magazine, or infected with the T-virus, which would be worst.

As long as their was ammo around, I’m sure the Chief could eventually win… it’d just take a while….and he’d have to make sure Nemmie didn’t get through his armor….and dodge rockets.
Considering how slow Nemesis is, though, it’d only be a matter of time before Chief either brought it down with a supremely powerful weapon (plasma comes to mind), or if Nemesis got its hands on him, he could detonate the suit….which is powered by a small nuclear reactor XD

master chief is kik ass, and so is nemisis, but well it depends… nemisis can kill chief if he f**ks up, nemisis has rockets, which can kill chief, and a turret , which also kills chief…. but an energy sword is good against nemisis im guessing, but if chief plays it wrong, chief dies, but tentacles from a long range would be less affective as wear chief can cut them with a energy sword and a girl in a mini skirt and tube top kiss nemisis, im guessing chief pulls through on this one

Well, I guess MC can beat Nemesis in his first stage, but if he transforms into that hideous Son of a bitch final boss in RE3, MC is f#cked, also, considering how persistent an enemy Nemesis is, It would take MC several tries for Nemesis to back down (Not the case if you have the Spartan Laser ^_^)

I have to agree with Sprite, it all depends on who makes the first move, If Nemesis uses his tentacles to strike first, MC can easily dodge, or even cut them with an Energy Sword, and if Nemesis uses his rocket launcher, Chief can deflect it with a Gravity Hammer

Have any of u played RE 3. Nemesis is nearly immortal he got blown in half(legs remain) and then fell in acid then he mutated and came right back only that stopped him was a nuke to the head. MC could hit with anything and Nemesis would regenerate, adapt, mutate, and become stronger. MC could win if he had a nuke but I never found it in any Halo game.
P.S. Movie Nemesis sucks to the one in the game.

If we’re going strictly by video game mechanics, then Nemesis might probably decimate him. I mean in Umbrella Chronicles, it took me several rockets and a mountain load of submachine gun bullets to kill this guy and all it takes is just 1 rocket or a bullet to the head to kill te Chief.

Chief doesn’t need to go head up besides in the movie nemesis was killed fairly easy. Nemesis is tough but a plasma gun that shoots 10,000 degree goo should melt nemesis. If nemesis shot rockets chief could bat them away with a gravity hammer plus since chief could knock a brute back a couple feet with a gravity hammer and brutes are around 4,000 pounds than Im sure nemesis would at least be knocked to the ground.

By all Halo logic, a rocket launcher would mean an insta-kill…even Resident Evil logic says that…however, Nemesis coincidentally HAS rocket launcher with some freaking amazing aim at that. Nemesis has survived through practically anything that was thrown at him…a mere rocket launcher hit or even a spartan laser will do nothing but knock him out for a few minutes before he decides to come back again, and again, and again until the chief runs out of food, supplies, etc.(he is a human still)
Of course unless the Chief can dish out something as powerful as say, the railgun at the end of the game then I would take my statements back

Ok before anyone asks Nemesis is actually not a zombie, he is a mutated version of the virus that originally was responsible for creating zombies. And before anyone asks, he was the guy in Resident Evil (first movie) in which the Umbrella Corporation implanted the mutated virus into the man, which allowed him to become Nemesis (even though the mutation was forced and thought to be extremely painful). Furthermore, this version of the T-virus (which was the virus which kills the body, and reanimates the body, and brings it back to life, which gives the body only the most essential need; the need to feed on flesh, nothing more) is closely related to the virus inside of Alice, but in her form she cannot become a zombie, as all of the zombie forms are considered mutations, while her form by the Umbrella Corporation is considered evolution, allowing for quicker reflexes, more agility, and more speed.
But back to MC vs Nemesis:
MC has some severe disadvantages as he is strong, but he is not stronger than this mutated version of the T-virus, and it allows the subject of the virus to be much more aggressive and more durable (as demonstrated in Resident Evil: Apocalypse). To start off, MC has a wide variety of weapons like the Assault rifle, which in a battle like this, it would be almost useless, look at the time when Nemesis, engaged a lone S.T.A.R. group, he was shot numerous times with varying weapons, and he killed all of them with a simple machine gun, while leaving one alive on purpose, as he dropped weapons, posing himself as no threat.
On top of all that, he has a rocket-launcher, and surprising speed and amazing jumping capabilities (as demonstrated when he chased Alice in Resident Evil: Apocalypse). So to be honest I think Nemesis has numerous advantages, but MC could probably pull it off but just barely and only if he had the right weapons.

I would stick with Nemesis on this one (RE3). From what I’m reading, Nemesis is NOT slow in Resident Evil 3 — but very fast. He doesn’t have a chaingun, but does have a rocketlauncher. If Master Chief even got close to him he’d grab him and stick ‘em with a tentacle. All in all, the Chief loses.

Well, I presume people have read comment #68 which covers Nemesis in the movies. I guess I might as well go into the details of Nemesis from RE3.
Despite his size, Nemesis can outrun humans in peak condition and can take whatever rounds of ammunition the player throws at him. Be it thousands of bullets pumped into him or grenades launched at him he will keep coming at you. Nemesis is the result of a Tyrant(one of Umbrella’s greatest creations) infused with the NE-T virus which allows Umbrella to control him when necessary. This of course would make him weaker than the normal tyrant as a side result but he makes up for this with high intelligence. Nemesis is capable of thought despite the fact that people seem to think that he’s a zombie. He’s regarded as one of Umbrella’s smartest creations and is easily capable of wielding weapons such as his custom made stinger which only he can wield so I imagine it to be quite heavy. His aim with this weapon is superb and so is his reflexes. Nemesis is fully capable of dodging the trajectory of a mine thrower(shoots bombs that explode a few seconds after contact…it also “sticks” to the person) when he’s not busy tanking however many rounds of grenade launcher rounds. With the NE-T virus, his regenerative capabilities are extremely high. Even when he’s lost some of his limbs, he can still come at you at surprising ferocity and can lob you with his tentacles whose reach is very high. Jumping capabilities are far beyond that of a human’s.
People can go about how chief’s shield works but what happens if Nemesis aims at the chief with his rocket launcher/rams that thing into his skull? He would either be dead on the spot or live long enough to see Nemesis impale him with his signature tentacle grab.
Master chief dies with a close range explosion of a grenade, Nemesis can take several grenade rounds and a point blank grenade explosion and live to kick butt in a few minutes.
