Don’t know this guy, but he’s managed to look lamer than Chief. So I’m hoping the green jerk can finally catch a breaks.
Honey drinks and duelist equipment though sound like some weird fantasy combat business, that may beat Chief like most of those fantasy sword folks do.

the problem with rpg characters is that fighting a million slimes doesn’t make you any more resistant to a bullet slamming into your heart.
Having a million hp is meaningless if you get head-shot and die instantly. All those items? Can’t be used if you get killed instantly like that. Many RPG characters become substantially weaker when the shielding of their RPG mechanics are removed.
Additionally, would any of his equipment even penetrate Chief’s shield? Let alone his durable armor? While JRPGs like their KEWL 1337 SW0RDZ!!!! in reality swords are pretty uselsss in modern combat for a reason.

I can’t see a reason why Chief shouldn’t win.The sword can’t penetrate his shields let alone his armor and Duran is physicaly weaker.

Well unless DUran is able to hit the chief with any spells, I’ll give it to the Master Chief.
Even if Duran came in with the Sword, Mc would be easily able to counter and use his superior reflexes, unless Duran is faster.

I’m not a Chief basher like some other pilers, i never got into the Halo games enough to criticize them on a reliable enough level, his design just looks stupid to me. Can’t knock John — (whatever number he is) in terms of character. All the same, this other guy DOES look like a bizarro Link

Lol, the reason iput duran against the chief was 1) See how many people actually KNOW who duran is and 2) give the chief a break. come on, he has to win some. ill request duran again, but in the sword duels section, plus, eruption sword would rape the chief… that is, if his bullets dont kill him first.

Also, duran does have a chance. His ultimate shield, the sacred shield, seems to abosrb shit like fire. Plus, the adamantium shield absorbs neutral damage, such as physical force and cuts it by about 80%. That means that the bullet would slow down to a point where its more like a hammer swing.
Duran’s thunder saber would completly disrupt the chief’s systems, plus even possibly downing his shield. Also, if a wack from a gun can take down his shields, why cant a sword that can penetrate a dragon (emperor dragon, final boss) that has achieved God status by absorbing all the elements and an energy similar to the force (mana) ?

The first one is Durans first tech, the cross slash. It would probably be slightly stronger than a wack from the chief since it sends enemies flying.
The second one is his three-step cut. Duran cuts one enemy three times at high speeds, probably taking down the chief’s shields and possibly (not surely) kill him
The third one is duran’s whirlwind sword. self explanatory.
The fourth one is his flashing sword. Its an explosion of mana energy.
The fifth one is duran’s magic cirlcle. A magical circle immobilises one enemy, than duran charges his sword with mana energy, than strikes at the target full force.
The sixth one is his vaccum sword. I dont care about it, but its duran charging his sword with mana energy (again), than releasing it as wind discs so concentrated, it cuts through enemies.
The seventh and my favourite one is eruption sword. Duran charges his sword with u-know-wat and releases it into the ground. Suddenly, every enemy has the floor beneath their feet explode with magma.
The flashing sword, magic circle, vaccum sword or eruption sword would all kill or down chief’s shield, now add thundersaber and chief is toast. Duran’s shield will be able to block chiefs fire while Duran charges his sword, than he will strike. i opted for the duelist equipment because its cool (its a bunch of freaking magical bones that were forged into armour!!! genius!!!)
Now lets look at what Duran has survived. He has survived meteor strikes (the “ancient” spell) multiple times, survives 4 arrows hitting him constantly (arrow trap) tanks massive ice chunks hitting him in the head (ice smash) tanks fire strikes (fire ball), he even tanks a thunderbolt (thunderbolt) and continues to fight no problem, and thats just the spells I can remember right now.
Dont think a punch from the chief can down him either. Duran can take getting chewed by a massive dragon (emperor dragon), getting punched in the face by a gigantic werewolf (dolan or nolan, I forget his name). I do think all this is thanks to his armour. If you have a level 50 duran, but with his more standard, store-bought non-special equipment, all these attacks do 999 damage…
I can see how people instantly think the chief wins because they have never played Seiken Densetsu 3, but thats understandable. I have shared my opinion.

Here’s an ingame image. Judgin by the image, Dolan’s (found out its name) top half of his body is about 5 times the height of the game’s heroes. Because we can only make assumptions, I would say Dolan is 11 times the heroes’ height. Since Duran is probably 5 foot something, its really “giant”
