For this match MC only has his pistols. He’s got 16 clips to reload. Scene starts just like the picture shows – he’s getting rushed and has a 1 mile sprint to reach a warthog with a Guass Cannon + a skilled driver. From that point they have a 10 mile drive to the Landing Zone which is currently occupied by 500 more zombies.
How would this play out?

Tanks and copious amounts of Boomers are the only way… I have a strong dislike of MC, yet I won’t deny the fact that regular humans (zombie or not,) will have a very, very, very difficult time getting through his armor with hands and teeth alone. And that would only happen if he was comotose

i also think that once master chief gets in the warthog that they would make it to the landing zone but while fighting the 500 zombies a tank flips the hog and kills the driver but master chief rips off the gause cannon and rams the remaining hoard with it.(i mean like shooting the hoard not useing it as a ram)… so in the end masterchief wins

I think as long as Chief keeps his distance, giving time for his shields to recharge, he could make it to the warthog, which shouldn’t be hard considering what i’ve heard of his top speeds on foot. Once in it, he’s ripping through them easily.

I think it would be a long battle but this is one that John could survive. The 1 mile sprint is not going to be hard for him, nor is the 10 mile drive. With a skilled driver most zombies will be easily avoided, ran over, or gunned down.
It is the 500 at the end that will be the trouble spot. The gauss cannon doesn’t shoot through multiple enemies so it is only ever going to kill one target at a time. It will make short work of the bigger stuff, but the smaller zombies are going to be able to swarm him.
With 16 clips (and I’m assuming two more clips already loaded in the guns) he has either 144 or 216 bullets (depending on whether has a M6G or a M6C / M6D). That is a decent amount of ammo and should be enough to keep a large majority of the zombies off of him while he is on the move, getting to the ‘Hog, or moving the ‘Hog if it gets flipped.
I could easily see him getting to the ‘Hog without using too much ammo because of his speed, strength, and shields. Once in the ‘Hog ammo doens’t become an issue and with a skilled driver it would be easy to circle the landing zone and pick off zombies. If the ‘Hog gets destroyed or flipped John should still have enough pistol ammo to clean up the rest.
John clears this with a blitz for the first two sections and hit and fade tactics at the end. It would be like any Flood level… excepted they wouldn’t be shooting back.

Ok, I doubt the zombies could hold him for that long then. I was thinking maybe a max of 5 mins, but Chief could get out of such a trap in 10 for sure, and then he would never let it happen again. That is pretty much the only way I see chief losing then..

Bear in mind that SPARTAN melee attacks are more or less one shot kills.
His eyesight is enought to sharpshoot a smoker off a building while slimed, hunters just bounce off him (it’s like tackling a car) and he’s durable enough for the witch’s claws.

The fastest mile ever run is 3:43.13 by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco in 1999,
I doubt the undead would be able to keep up… even at a 6 minute mile pace…
So we can assume that the master chief is as fast…
human nails and teeth would be relatively ineffective against full plate armor of the past… save for the the over whelming amount should bring the knight in plate down to his back where they would eventually figure how to get it off him… so with a much more advanced armor, even without shields, the likely hood of being damaged by human nails and teeth is… well, very very small… I don’t see it logically happening… even if they bring him down…
What i do see is the driver getting ate before MC arrives assuming his face isnt covered, the warthog affords 0 protection from the weather… or zombies… so thats realistic…
This is how i see the battle going:
MC sees zombies, gets the ! from Metal Gear above his head… and starts dropping zombies after his 2 or 3 reload… he realizes pistols are futile and begins his sprint to warthog… after he arrives he begins blasting zombies as he speeds off to the landing zone… arriving at the landing zone his driver plows into the waiting 500 zombies and the warthog is eventually stopped… the driver gets pulled out of the warthog and gets ate… MC calls for evac and seeing how the zombies dont have weapons and are 0 threat to arial units the pelican and two escort hornets show up and arrive to a zombies clambering on the warthog moments later the hornets and marines on the pelican supress the zombies for evac…
winner MC… I hate saying that…

Anyway. I think Master Chief can easily win this. He’s taken on the Flood before by himself, (High Charity) so I think he can do this. Usually I’d have a better reason then this, but everyone else basically said it.
Also, a GOOD Warthog driver? That is impossible.

This is essentially due to the fact that we’re not idiots. If Master Chief is clearly capable of victory then he is nominated as thus (See Snake Vs. Master Chief), if due to the facts presented that it is clear that he is the lesser combatant, it will be argued that he cannot win. It’s a simple concept.
If you want biased admiration I suggest you use the Bungie.net forums, where I once witnessed (I swear on my life) individuals claiming that a Spartan or an Elite could equal the Incredible Hulk in a one-on-one fight.
Never claim biased on behalf of Factpile when sites that encourage stupidity (such as Bungie.net) exist to stoke the flames fanboys everywhere.

Pretty much everyone has a good point, that MC could easily take these zombies on. A couple corrections though.
Master Chief can run at about 34.38 mph normally, being able to move even faster in stressful combat situations. Only Kelly can run faster than the other SPARTANs. John-117 is average when it comes to speed.
As for strength, the Mjolnir armor increases his strength many times over. Without the armor, a 14-yr old John was able to do curls with an 80 kilogram weight without any problems. He later proceeded to kill 3 and injure 4 ODSTs with nothing but his fists (and a large bar later in the fight). The armor just makes him stronger. There seems to be no actual measurement of the armor’s strength, however, in the battle of Cote d’ Azur, he “easily” pushes through iron bars and a sewage pipe cover. In Operation First Strike, John heaves 200-kilogram weapons with one hand (taking them from Sgt. Johnson). And John’s strikes are so powerful (referencing the ODST incident), add that to the “impervious Mjoilnir armor” (Halo: First Strike, Chapter 1), and there is a lethal combination. A single punch from a Spartan in Mjoilnir often resulted in a crushed chest of the victim. Even enemies larger, tougher, and more powerful than a human were often crushed (not always elites with shielding, or brutes, but Jackals, or elites who had no shielding).
SPARTANs also seemed to have significant skills throwing rocks (read the books…), so after Chief ran out of ammo, he could most likely keep the Zombies at bay for a little while. And when it got close-and-dirty, he would be even more deadly.
I don’t really know how anyone could think that MC would have a hard time fighting Zombies, seeing how he is a master (pun intended) at fighting the Flood, which are super-zombies: they are stronger, faster, more numerous, and they re-animate.

In “The Fall of Reach”, John leads 74 children (half of whom grow up to become SPARTANs) in an assault on a guarded Pelican. Because they don’t have weapons, they pelt the Marines with rocks.
In “First Strike”, after the initial drop from space, the SPARTANs don’t have weapons, so Kelly uses a rock to kill a jackal. I assume that all the SPARTANs have equal “rock-throwing” skills, so if Chief needed to kill a few more zombies, and he was out of ammo, and didn’t feel like running up to them to punch them, he could just throw a rock.

the rock concept is still dumb, since a piece of lead at 97 miles an hour barely breaks through the skull, (Deadliest Warrior, Gladiator vs Apache) and is at least twice as dense as your average rock, that means he would have to whizz it at a whooping 194 miles an hour for similiar damage. Thats not including the logistics of finding a rock in a corn field… like i said, its dumb

The initial run will be no problem for MC. He’ll outrun the zombies easily, and conserve his ammo for the 500, when he gets the warthog.
Yeah, with his shields, armor, and hugely powerful melee attacks, MC will go through the zombies quite easily. The only relative danger is if they swarm him completely.
