Ok, so I’ve come to realize that I have a problem. First, check out this link to a funny recap of the latest episode named “Broken”. (opens new window).
As you might have noticed, there have been a lot more Sword of Truth/Legend of the Seeker posts popping up on FactPile. I know there are a few fans like AHEM that probably don’t mind, but I also feel like I am perhaps taking the site down a path that most aren’t really interested in. So, I’ve acquired a killer domain that suits this particular interest of mine – WarWizard.com. I am seriously considering launching a fan site of sorts that focuses only on that series and for the most part keep most of my rants about that over on that site. To be honest, it will take away some time from FactPile. so, I now ask you, dear reader, what would you prefer – to continue to see the potentially frequent postings/matches with characters from this universe appear on here, or see a very reduced load and concentrated focus over at WarWizard?
Let me know in the comment section of this post.
Thanks!

Nope, I don’t mind at all. In fact, I think all the matches with Sword of Truth characters actually improves the website, giving the fantasy genre of literature(which was quite underrepresented until recently) an improving presence on Factpile. The articles that mention Legend of the Seeker and SoT haven’t gotten to the point of dominating the website quite yet, so I wouldn’t say they’re taking the website “in a direction most aren’t really interested in.”

This site is the only reason I have taken the time to watch any episodes of the ledgend of the seeker series as well as given me enough interest to seek out the books. I didn’t buy them I saw this Conan copilation titled ….and their memory was a bitter tree. and bought that But I still looked.

In all honesty I don’t think it matters.
Those who aren’t particularly interested in it (like me) just choose to ignore it while those who like it can comment and participate in it.
The book series brings in good characters for battles, and if they are a little biased due to Admin, so be it. It’s not like we haven’t had tons of 40k, Metroid, or Star Wars before.
You might be a big over-zealous in promoting it, but who am I to complain!

I am fine with any SoT material being plugged right here. More than fine, I invite it.
I actually don’t see a reason to not have a “Fanboy Spotlight” sub-section somewhere in here that could be used for you drug of chice or any other Factpiler’s from time to time.
Well, other than blowing up the site that is.
I say keep it here. It will only help in our pile’s growth.

Personally, I do enjoy the characters of SoT coming onto the website. I don’t mind if we have a “sub-fanboy” site for SoT, but I would prefer to keep up the inflow of SoT characters/factions on the site. Plus, I always get to see trailers of Season II.

Strange, when I first saw this topic I thought the title indicated thoughts that were broken, e.g. patterns of thought that were divided into several pieces or so horrified that they were “broken.” Now I realize it means thoughts on the episode called “Broken.”

I am new to this site, but the Sword of Truth and Wheel of Time posts is what led me to factpile in the first place. I’m an avid fantasy reader, but none of my friends are, so I cannot discuss the book with anybody! Then I found this site, my first chance to discuss the books. I think this site could use even more Sword of Truth threads, to balance the Warhammer 40k, Mega Cheif, and other Science Fiction threads. I’d especially love to see a Duel with Jagang on one side. He is one nasty, brutal, yet ingenious and powerful villian. Also, I’ve only read Books 1-5 (I had to put it down for a while after Soul of the Fire) but I am considering picking up Faith of the Fallen after hearing about another Kahlan vs. Imperial Order battle with Zeddicus in it. My point is, a website based soley on the Sword of Truth would contain a ton of spoilers I really don’t want to read. If a ton of people want to move Sword of Truth to another site, that’s fine, but my vote is to keep it here!
