Krayt Dragon Vs Balrog
Krayt Dragon (Star Wars) Vs Balrog

Excellent suggestion here as we have some creatures facing each other. Just in case you forgot, the Krayt Dragon is from Star Wars, a native to Tatooine. It’s up against a Balrog and to make things interesting, let’s have this match on Tatooine, perhaps as a random encounter as the two creatures are each looking for some new stomping grounds.

Who would win?

Oversized lizard vs. Giant flaming shadow creature created by one of the most evil forces imaginable and armed with weapons drawn from its own tainted core?

    No contest, Balrog.

good match admin. I know the krayt dragon is the top predator of tatooine, and the balrog is a mair from the 1st age of lord of the rings. I don’t know if the krayt dragon can think, or is a mindless animal, but the Balrog is spirit turned evil. I think I am going to have to go with the Balrog, as it is possibly, the only one in the match with a thinking mind, has magic, and because it killed gandalf (or caused the death of gandalf through their titanic struggle).

This seems somewhat of an unfair match. Ancient demon-type creature with magic, flight, powerful weaponry and nigh immunity against most weapons versus an animal (Reptile if you’d prefer)….

Krayt Dragon Versus a Carnosaur I can see being interesting, but Balrog wins this match up easily.

Balrogs gonna win this one, he is created from pure evil, and thus can probably take out a lizard.

Woah! Hold up! It is debatable whether or not Godzilla can kill this thing… GODZILLA! And yet this puny lizard is put up against him?!

I have a true match for the Balrog I’m going to request soon.

No contest, the out-come is clear.

The Krayt dragon may be top preditor on it’s ball of sand, but the Balrog’s biology defies traditional science. Mear contact with the balrog will be painful to the Krayt and the Balrog has far more combat experience that almost any mortal creature.

    Most definitely the Balrog.

“What? no it didn’t gandoff was alive in the second movie He actually killed the balrog”
After falling off the bridge of Khazad-dum, Gandalf pursued the Balrog of Moria for eight days. They then battled for two days and two nights and ended up killing each other. Gandalf most likely died of a combination of exhaustion and his wounds. Eru Iluvatar himself intervened with Gandalf’s death, sending him back as Gandalf the White.

Thanks JoshMcFace, I should have probably added that in, so lets say, the Balrog indirectly led to Gandalfs death. Anyway, the Balrog would own this lizard…but i wonder if he would actually eat it? Fried kryat dragon? sounds exotic….

There are two types of Krayt dragon. There’s the Canyon Krayt as shown here, and the greater Krayt dragon which has 10 legs, can easily grow 100 meters and it feeds on sarlaccs when it can.

@Zervziel – Nice find on the Greater Krayt Dragon, I think it needs to make an appearance on the site…
