John Williams Vs Ennio Morricone
John Williams Vs Ennio Morricone

This is truly an epic battle.

These two are responsible for some of the best known soundtracks music in cinema history.

While I love the Star Wars theme, nothing beats “Ecstasy of Gold” – I still get chills when I hear that tune.

What say you?

Gotta go with John Williams. Battle of the Heroes is my favorite movie soundtrack ever. John Williams just doesn’t make great music; his soundtracks perfectly capture the feelings and emotions of the audience every time.

what did you think of duel of the fates?
personally i recko0n it was one of his best
and about the audience and capturing emotions…yeah i have to agree-it really brought out the best in the films

Yeah Duel of the Fates was good, but when Vader and Obi-Wan fought, and Battle of the Heroes started playing, I got goose bumbs and my eyes started watering.

Its not Williams’ fault that Lucas Arts wont pay Williams for original scores in their games.

You can’t go wrong with the Jurassic Park theme and the Indy theme.

    John Williams –
Jaws, the Star Wars films, Superman, the Indiana Jones films, ET, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Home Alone, and three Harry Potter films; he has composed the music for all but one of Steven Spielberg’s theatrical features.

    Ennio Morricone-
He is a lot older than I am. He did the scores for over 40 westerns and a lot of movies I have never heard of.

On the other hand, Ennio did do the classic “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” theme.

… … … … gotta give it to John Williams… his music is all over my iPod, but I must say, my favorite composer is defniitely Greg Edmonson, if you don’t like the soundtrack from Uncharted or Firefly… theres something wrong with you…

Gonna have to be Williams. He got me an A in my Music GCSE, and E.T remains still some of my favourite film music.
