Dark Light
Jesse Custer Vs Sylar
Jesse Custer Vs Sylar

This match would probably consist of Sylar trying to obtain Custer’s powers. That being said, O don’t know if he would be able to acquire it since *seems* to be a god-like power.

Nonetheless, it makes for a great match.

Who wins?

There are just SO many ways Jesse could F**K Sylar over.

Powers – Sylar has the most in quantity (Power Mimmick, Telekinesis, Super Hearing, Freezing, Polygraph, Transmutation, Nuclear Projection, Electical discharge, etc), but Jessee has the quality (Word of God). If you dont know Custer’s power, think of the Jedi Mind Trick x100. This compulsion goes all the way up to ELEVEN!

Combat – Jesse would completely kick Sylar’s ass in a straight hand-to-hand fight. This Preacher is as tough as they come.

Coolness – Jesse is just a MUCH cooler character than the super-serial killer. If you see Sylar coming down the street, you run. If you see Jesse coming down the street, angels and demons soil themselves along with you…

So Jesse Custer can make you do whatever he says?? Damn, Sylar ALMOST had that power!! Careful not to make Sylar too angry though or he’ll get all nuke-y. But as much as I like Sylar, this could end as quickly as Custer making him chop his own head off. Would be cool if Gabriel got the Word of God though. It’s kinda fitting.

Custer is much more creative than that. He would more likely tell Sylar to jam his head up his own ass. He did it in the books, and he would do it again. Sylar would be helpless and be compelled to do so.

Unlike the victim in the comics, Sylar can regenerate the damage, so the torment would be far worse.

Now, the Word of God is the only power Custer ever manifested, but that does not mean he coultn’d do more. This power comes from him having the spirit of Genesis within him. This spirit was the blasphemous union between an angel and a demon.

God was so terrified of what this spirit could do that he dissapeared the very moment Genesis was birthed. Really scary stuff.

Pretty much, but what sort of story would develop if Custer would be absolutely unoposed? His power was resisted by others, Saint of Killers being an example.

However, I dont think Sylar has the Heavenly juice to withstand the Word of God.

He also told a man to count every grain of sand on the beach.

This may sound simple enough, but it was tormenting to the one on the receiving end. Every time he lost count, he had to start over. Really, a terrible punishment. Custer can be extremely creative with this thing. From the grotesque, to the mundane.

Because this is not a “brain” thing for him to mimmic. This is a divine spirit inhabiting Custer’s mortal coil. Id like to see how Sylar adjusts his brain to mimmic the patterns of a vessel to a divine spirit that is the product of a demonic/angelic union.

That is even assuming that Sylar somehow managed to get the drop on Jesse (something I doubt GREATLY given Sylar’s cockyness). Custer is not one to have his guard down at any moment, while Sylar beleieves himself untouchable.

Even if Sylar grabs Jesse, all he has to do is say “Jam your fingers into your nose!” to Sylar and it is all over. Or really, all he needs to say is “Die”.

All Sylar would be able to do with Custer’s power is understand where it came from and how it works, not take it, as is it not a part of Custer’s brain.

The puppet master guy in Heroes could make people do whatever he wanted and Sylar resisted him. Sylar also only goes after people after he knows what they’re power is. So let’s see, Sylar find out some guy has the “word of God” or w/e and decides to go get it for himself. He shows up, paralyzes the guys vocal chords (which he has done to others), then just lops off his head. Or he could use one of the other highly destructive things he’s used to kill the man. The guy couldn’t get the drop on Sylar being as he can hear everything and read minds.

But then theres the fact that Custer could quite literally force the entire globe to hunt down and butcher Sylar long before the villain sets out to “hunt” the Word of God. Sylar had a tough time dealing with a handful of soldiers, I don’t see him fighting off Millions of opponents for very long.

But if Sylar got too infuriated he would create a nuclear explosion and eventually regenerate. However, I don’t know too much about Custer’s power. Are you still open to other emotions whilst under his influence? Sylar lost the nuke power in the current series, but retained it in his alternate future versions. Vocal chord paralyzing also seems like an option, and Sylar has also been shown to clamp peoples mouths shut with a hand movement, possibly even by just thinking.

Sylar can’t read minds Zenkai, and he lost his enhanced hearing, but if it came down to a hunt, he could track his target down quite easily with his clairsentience, although Custer would obviously have more help in his hunt. Sylar’s list of powers also continues to grow. If he eventually gets Hiro’s power to manipulate time, he would be almost unstoppable to most people on Earth.

I dont think sylar can copy Jesse’s power, but I could see sylar holding his mouth shut or strangling him via telekenesis, quite easily too.
