I agree with Expert here (WTF did I just say) they need the no rush setting. Because of the 5 minute rushers it forces people to play as Terran only because they have the best defences in the game. Bunkers (filled with Marines and Marauders), Siege Tanks, and sometimes (Granted rarely) Missle Turrets is the only thing that can stop 5 min rushers. I mean Photon Cannons, Zealots, and Stalkers can’t hold the line against 5 min rushers. Also I would like to build units other than Zerglings and Roaches (Zerg), Marines and Marines, and Marines, and if I’m lucky a Siege Tank or two. (Terran), and Zealot, Stalker, and then boom Marine and Zergling rush I have to make Dark Templars in order for me to at least hold the damn line and if I’m more lucky I can finally build a colossus or two. (Protoss)

I guess I’m lucky that I don’t got Xbox Live. But this is sadly a sign of things to come. and again sadly good companies (and if we are lucky mostly the bad ones) will suffer for it. If I understand my comic book history (ok mainly what I learn from the history channel special about the history of comic books.) they made major mistakes during the 90s because they were greedy and they suffered because of it. - Five Ways to Make StarCraft 2 Better
I understand Midnite you don’t trust the company. Hell I don’t trust them either. (And this is just my mind set when it comes to todays games.) However I view games (At least this game) like the Star Wars movies and Lords of the Ring movies. It’s the same movie but divided into different chapters which we pay for. But to be honest that is how I view modern video games. But I will agree with you that Activision are pricks. In fact I thought it was funny that the creaters of the Battlefield series when talking about Bad Company 2′s MP directly challenge and insulted Activision when they stated that unlike Modern Warfare 2 Bad Company 2 WILL have dedicated servers. When I heard that I really started to like EA for doing that. However I think they did that to piss off their rivals though

Well they are still working on the other two campaigns and if they waited for those campaigns to be finished it would take a few more years for the game to be released to the public. After delay after delay since they told everyone that they started work on Starcraft II. They needed to give people something so since the Terran campaign was finished they released it. In fact the Zerg and Protoss campaign systems are going to be completely different (as they clam in months time we will find out if their clam is true or bullshit.) since both the Zerg and Protoss don’t use money. Now as like you MM I was pissed when I heard the game would be divided into three parts. But after seeing how well the Terran campaign played out. I’m willing to give them a chance.

I would like the no rush setting. Even more so when we in coop game (me and Sap) our mean problem is the rushing within the first 5 mins

The Invid Royal Command Battloid is from the Robotech Series.

Hmm. The Invid Royal Battledroid is quite an imposing sight, but it’s hard to say how well it’d do against (Movie) Megatron (which I’m supposing is the opponent instead of another Megatron; there’s been like, half a dozen Megatrons and Galvatrons over the years). The Movie Megatron was able to preform interstellar flight in search of the allspark, and survive re-entry with ease (his landing spot, however, was not very favorable to ‘em). He’s also shown as being able to survive several thoudans years frozen in the Antartic and revived, fully functional (and extremely ticked off). Of course, that’s just the first movie; in the second, he’s noticable stronger, as well as gaining an additional tank mode in addition to his interstellar-travel capable spacecraft one.
Megatron’s overall speed is debatable, since there’s no clear number ever given and some conflicting source material. In the ROTF movie, immediately after being awakened, he destroys some human vessels and leaves Earth and heads to the ruins of the Decepticon flagship Nemesis. The Nemesis is on the moon of a ringed Gas giant, which might be Saturn (it’s left ambigious in the movie), but the novelization of the movie said that the planet was in another (dead) star system. So… that would mean Megatron, without any extra assistance, is capable of (fast) Superluminal travel. If it was Saturn Megatron was capable of traveling to, it’d still be millions of miles an hour as his top speed. Either way, that’s a good deal ahead of Mach 2, the fastest the Royal Command Battledroid can achieve.
However, speed isn’t everything. One has to take into account the armor and weaponary of the combatants, and here the Royal Command Battloid may be able to level the playing field. The Plasma and Particle Cannons have some great range as well as unlimited payloads, and the missiles will be able to do a great ammount of damage as well. I’m also supprised of the melee of the mech, which is giving me the impression it’s more agile than I thought it’d be in hand to hand. Since the movie Decepticons are explicitly stated as being vulnerable to human weapons (though significantly more durable than human veichles), one can fairly assume even Megatron wouldn’t be able to take all the firepower the Royal Command Battloid has.
Megatron’s no slouch, though. He’s downright devestating in close combat, as seen during the scuffles in the two movies. He’s also got an extremely strong weapon in the form of of his Fusion Cannon, usable in all his modes, though with an unknown range (Megatron -really- likes fighting up close, so he’s never really shown using many ranged weapons; even when firing missiles, he’ll barely be a more than a hundred feet away). In all honesty, they’re probably fairly matched in the ammount of damage each could take from the other.
Hmm… the battle would have to depend on if the Royal Command Battloid can dish out enough damage to take out Megatron before Megs can retaliate (at speeds far beyond what the Battlroid can match). Its best hope would to have had a lucky hit that blasted Megatron’s Spark, killing him instantly. But if Megatron can get in the first move, he’ll opt for pummeling the thing into submission, and I’m gonna have to say that he’s the far better close combat fighter, and the Royal Command Battloid just can’t match Megatron’s speed.

Robotech is not my strong suit. My experience is mostly from Robotech: Invasion and that cameos the IRCB only breifly.
Still, if Strife-Hira is accurate, then the Invid battloid isn’t going to have much of a chance at nailing megatron before he gets in close combat.

Also, would like to point out that it’d be quite a different match depending on what Megatron is present. The G1 Cartoon Megatron probably could survive a much greater pounding, but, to be honest, he isn’t exactly the brightest bulb (or even the sharpest shot, which is kinda’ ironic considering he turns into, you know, a firearm). He’d more likely than not give get frustrated and retreat than put all his effort into defeating the Battloid. Contrast that with the Megatron from the Transformers: Cybertron series, and he’d be able to laugh off most attacks and easily stomp the poor thing, considering his armor is made from the body of Unicron, and heck, by the end of the series he looked like he was on par with characters from DBZ or something.

Yea his match really does depend on which megatron is fighting G1? Animated? The fox kids version? Armada? Movie? Energon? Cybertron?
Though, some would just lose, should we debate them all in one on one fights?

Try the G1 and G2 comic.
Megatron can withstand massive punishment and not even get a scratch. He took on all 5 dinobots without even getting a sweat. So far only Prime was able to cause a good deal of damage to him.
When looking at a Invid Royal Command Battloid I wasn’t impressed when looking at Megatron’s capabilities. Megatron wouldn’t likely suffer much lasting damage to him in a premtive attack by one to prevent him from counter attacking. The guy survived falling through the atmosphere with out burning up. (Since SHockwave is not as tough as megatron and he survived that fall I dought any Invid could do the same)
Also in the G2 comic Megatron did do such a feat and survived that fall even badely damaged and alot of armor missing. He got up and looked horrible then Shouted REVENGE. THen he proceeded to single handedly fight his way through an Autobot
base to meet with Prime and you see that his armor was practically falling appart when he was doing that. I dought any Invid units are that well constructed to take that much of a beating and still be able to take of an army.

The fight would have to hinge on the invid strking first and hard. the invid would use distance as it’s shield. getting in close with megatron is a death sentence. he can and does kick butt.
the invid would have to use his plasma to inflict massive damage on Megatron. How much damage Megatron can take will depend on where he is hit, how he is hit, etc…
this would be a fight:
A fast, long range fighting system – invid
large, heavily armored, close fighting system – Megatron.
Each have advantages and disadvantages.
it would come down to who used thier advantages and disadvantages the best.
