Human Torch Vs Ghost Rider

In what should amount to an easy win for Ghost Rider, I’m curious to see of anyone can put forth a logical way that the Human Torch can win. Otherwise, it’s over rather quickly.

What say you?

Ghost Rider wins in seconds. Johnny Storm’s done some bad things in his time, so a quick Penance Stare should do the trick.

I would love to say the Human Torch would beat ghost rider for personal reasons. But I really can’t think of a way he could win on his own by himself. Ghost Rider can’t really be hurt by the fire as far as I know. Though I do not believe the STARE would work on Torch because he doesn’t have much guilt. So in the end it might come down to who can throw what at the opponent in order to score the victory. Human Torch can fly around and maybe cause some things to fall on ghost rider and destroy him that way. But I think its a less then 5% chance human Torch could win. So I have to go with Ghost Rider on this one.

The movie was done the way it was done in order to hopefully get max cash and provide drama and excitement within a two hour time span. Needless to say I actually surprisingly somewhat enjoyed the movie because I didn’t know too much about ghost rider before hand as far as his background story. But I do realize the movie could have been done way better and isn’t a true representation of the character.

The Rider can shoot Helfire, the hell cycle can drive up vertical surfaces and his chains could cause some serios damage..

I can’t even think of a way that the torch could harm, never mind beat, the Ghost Rider.

This would be over in minutes, Johnny Blaze wins.

Now now…Nova Blast anyone? Enough power to destroy a planet? Don’t count out Human Torch because it takes you three posts to express a point. It would be a good “fire fight”, its a pun, but in the end it comes down to how long Johnny can avoid being grapped by burning chains and have his soul torched with hellfire. Ghost Rider isn’t invulnerable Battra Boy…he can get harmed but he won’t stop.

I hate the Ghost Rider movie!!!!!!! But I love the comics! I think ghost rider gets the win to use the Pentence stare though i think that would be tough aganist a quick oppentnet like HT. But still ghost rider wins.

Isn’t Ghost Rider on fire already (hellish/heavenly fire). Plus, his ability to get more powerful the higher need of vengance he gets. I really see no way how Johnny Blaze would lose.

I don’t think there’s really any way for HT to harm GR at all. He’s pretty much immune to fire and all other forms of conventional injury, except divine weapons, and even when injured he can recover almost instantly. Add to that, his fire hits at a deeper level than just burning, because of its spiritual nature. Add to that GR’s chains and superhuman strength . . .

Human Torch is doomed, plain and simple. He really isn’t all that superhuman underneath the flame. He’ll unleash some potent attacks to start, but Ghost Rider will just walk right through them and grab him by the neck.
