Here is a match that would make for an excellent movie, IMO. Anyways, here we have two of the most powerful characters from the Marvel universe matched against each other for bragging rights.

i only know the silver surfer from the movie so i dont know much about him… but the thing was able to damage him so im pretty sure that the hulk can too and hulk had almost infinite strength so im am gonna say hulk but might change my mind after i read up on ss

Well, the Silver Surfer ranks higher on the official Marvel list (and a number of other lists) so I’m placing my bets on him.
Having said that, there is a lot of hulk support on this site.

I’ve read an old Issue where the surfer absorbed all of the radiation from the hulk freeing banner of the burden not once but twice. as well as lots more gamma to breach the galactus barrier with the power of the hulk only to turn back and return all the gamma too because banner was on the board unprotected in space. that was an old issue however and both charricters have evolved quite a bit since then.

??? Guys, the “since Hulk beat Thor” argument does not work. Just because:

A beats B in a fight – So if B already beat C, this does not mean A also can beat C…

This argument does not make sense. What if one person beats another because of his unique powers? I just never works, and this argument has been proven wrong thousands of times in comics.

Plus, I cannot believe how many people here are giving their opinions and ignoring the fact that Silver Surfer has beaten or resisted the Hulk every single time they’ve met!

Why? Because teh Surfer has millions of ways to defeat the Hulk:

He’s fast. Very fast. Crossing the universe in a matter of minutes fast.

He controls all energy. He can turn other beings into hamsters if he so chooses

He has nearly killed the Hulk before by ACCIDENT. Hulk was attacking him over and over, and Surfer just stood there casually thinking to himself ways to help the Hulk. While Hulk pounded away! Surfer then held up his hand and started absorbing the Gamma energy from his body. Nearly killed the Hulk, and there wasn’t a darn thing Hulk could do about it.

He has planet destroying energy blasts. Surfer can fly around in orbit and destroy the very planet Hulk is standing on. WHat’s Hulk going to do about that?

Surfer can phase through solid objects, and even shrink beings to the size of an eraser. Again, what’s Hulk going to do about that?

The only time Hulk got the better of Surfer was in WWH, when Surfer was weakened, and Hulk had plenty of help. Even from Hulks own mouth, the Surfer was a huge threat and he knew if his strategy failed, the Surfer would defeat all of them.

So, to all you claiming Hulk would beat Surfer, are you just ignoring the fact that Sufer has beaten the Hulk over and over again? Only way Surfer loses this battle is if he suddenly drops to the IQ equivalent of an Idaho Potato.

Uhh admin? I think this is solved. Hulk has no chance against a near immortal being. Especially if Surfer carries the Hulk up into space where he would die in the vacuum.

Silver Surfer will ripppppppp Hulk apart and absorb his radioactivity.. The Silver surfer can create super nova where it destroys worlds… not even superman can touch silversurfer.

Mate, Hulk fights a severly limited Surfer, who does not use his cosmic powers to fight the Hulk (as he has an Mind-control-like disc on him). I still believe Silver Surfer has this fight, as he can drain the gama radiation and revert the Hulk back to Banner. But it would be one hell of a fight to see.

Silver Surfer FTW. His control over energy and matter will quickly drain away the Hulk’s power, and if that fails, Hulk will find himself confronting molecular manipulation, planet shattering blasts, having his very form misshaped and polymorphed, and numerous other powers.

Hulk only has brute strength and toughness. Surfer moves as fast as light, is nearly indestructible, has brute strength backed by the Power Cosmic to match the Hulk(almost), can manipulate matter and energy, fly, screw with time itself, and do any number of other things. He has way too many options for the Hulk to handle.

which hulk is this? i ask because according to L-W, one of the incarnations of Hulk ionce beat Galactus..the master/lord of Silver Surfer. Sure the logic of “A beats B in a fight – So if B already beat C, this does not mean A also can beat C… ” is there, but surely the master of Silver Surfer…galactus was beat by hulk. if its the same hulk, then surfer’s dead.

Guy’s, in Silver Surfer’s comic run, in the issue where he fights the overlord, Silver Surfer goes back in time and stops the overlord from getting his powers. He could kill Banner’s great grand-father or Banner as a baby, or like in the issue, stop the accident from happening. And that is just if the physical aproach doesn’t work. I think Surfer win’s.

Just reaffirming that Silver Surfer would easily win this fight thanks to his ability to drain the gamma radiation from the Hulk thus reverting him to Bruce Banner (plus adding the Hulk’s power to his own no less)

In addition, that issue of Planet Hulk where the Hulk beat the weakened Surfer down? He got right back up from the Hulk’s beating without a scratch.

Terror I thank you so much for knowing your comics. The rest of you need to go and do some catch-up on your comics. The Hulk is now Bruce Banner, Grey Hulk, and Green Hulk all in one now.

Silver Surfer was Galactus Harold, bound to him no more. The only weakness the Surfer has is his mind. He is a peaceful person from a peaceful planet, and has the ability to put a planet back on its axis. The Hulk could only beat the Surfer if there was something wrong with the Surfer. No force on earth can stop the Surfer.

Hulk would have to be in a fight with Multiple powerhouses at once including some pretty good magicians to come close to Surfers rank. If the surfer were a dark person he could destroy everyone on earth within seconds.

And just so you don’t think crazy thoughts like I am one-sided or something, tossing Hulk into outer space would be useless cause he’s been there countless of time. His multiple hearts and lungs compensates for the lack of air. Yes Hulk is the strongest on earth, but can always be defeated by vision, by phasing into his body and grabbing his brain or some not one of his hearts.

And as far as Hulk beating Galactus, ONLY IF HE IS SICK OR WEAKENED from lack of food which is planets. Earth creatures facing Big G is like a sesame seed on a hamburger bun. The only thing that stopped it from happening before was the Surfer, and what stopped him was a human that was able to reach him after seeing similarities to his past.

Communication, and some of that can be done by research… Meaning read the comics. And please don’t compare the movies to these 2, a lot of facts on both of them are left out and altered. It would be like comparing a skateboard to a Saleen Mustang, or like trying to send a text message with a rotary phone.
