Here is another fun match that could last for quite some time. While Link has many powerful weapons in his arsenal to attack with, it matters not until he discovers the means to kill the Highlander. With all the experience that the Highlander would possess, it would make for a great battle of the blades.

With all of the protective barriors Link can forge, his incredibly potent weapons, the mother f#$%ing Triforce of Courage, and uncanny ability to find just about any weakness, I think this battle clearly goes to Link.

If Link finds out the head chopping thing, yes, if he doesn’t, of course not. It would indeed be an interesting sword fight. I don’t think Link’s the type that chops very many heads off, though.

Does it have to be chopped off? Link’s Helm Splitter does the same to a head as a helmet. The Mortal Draw, however, goes right for the neck, but it’s not something to be used mid-battle.

Mortal Draw isn’t ment to be used mid battle?!?! This is news to me. I just keep using the Magic Armor and attempt to spam Mortal Draw on most enemies, and it usually turns out pretty well. Although some of the hits some of the high end enemies / mini-bosses can dish out do take a good 100 + Rupees out of the wallet per hit.
If the Highlander is a good enough swordsman to keep Link from landing a Mortal Draw or the Helm Splitter then I think he could win this (against Twilight Princess Link).
I think Wind Waker Link would beat the Highlander though. His counter attacks are beastly and some one has to be really really fast for WW Link not be able to counter attack, and even then he can use his shield or dodge.

Link wins this easily he can always find his enemies weaknesses and once he discovers Highlander’s weakness he has so many ways of exploiting it.

I think Link would stumble upon that weakness.
Think about it, if you were a sword fighter, and you stabbed the other guy in the chest, and nothing happened. Where would be the next place you attack? His nuts?

No!! You obviously should go for his pinky finger on his left hand, but only after simultaniously biting the guy’s right ear, stepping on half of his right foot and punching under his left arm pit.
Knowing how some of the bosses are in the LoZ series makes me wonder if Link would actually try my method before anything else actually.

A nice guy who lunged the Master Sword down Ganon’s throat, lodged it into Ganondorf’s head and impalled Ganondorf through the heart. Plus there are a few types of enemys that must be decapitated before you can defeat them… Believe me, he may look like a sissy elf, but he can and will lop off your head if you piss him off.

Lopping of the head is actually a very common move in swordplay. It’s also a very common means of killing supernatural threats (witches, vamps, etc.)
Also, Links a lefty, fighting lefties is like driving a car with ones elbows, doable, but akward as hell.

Don’t you think after centuries,yeah,centuries of swordfights and decapitations, he just might know a few tricks as to how best keep head on shoulders?!
But yeah, if link fella has any instant decapitating magic(i.e. Instant decap….haha,get it, decaff…elves….buttsex?) no hope for the highlander
