Halo Wars Cheats (Videos)

Here is a compilation of Cheats for Halo Wars:

Quickest way to win in Skirmish

  • Play as UNSC
  • Build four supply pads and upgrade them
  • Two reactors anda field armory
  • Buy mac rounds
  • Move a warthog behind the enemy base and pray they don’t have turrets yet.
  • The warthog will give you the sight range to destroy the enemy base in one move.
  • Do this as quickly as you can and you will catch the other player off guard and beat them swiftly and easily.

Halo Wars Must Know Tips

Covenant Strategy – Wraith Rush

  • Build a temple
  • Build 3 Warehouses
  • Upgrade Warehouses
  • Build Factory
  • Produce One Wraith Then Heavy Shield Upgrade
  • Keep Building Wraiths
  • Once You Have 3 Attack
  • Set Global Rally Point To Teleport
  • Once You Have About 6-7 Wraiths Build Some Elite Honor Guards For Good Measure

Thats it. This is a very effective strategy against either Cov or UNSC

Covenant Strategy – Ghost Rush with Prophet

This is the Ghost Rush for Halo Wars. This is a decent rush. Used it 3 times against both UNSC and Covenant. The Covenant countered it more effectively putting up more of a fight.

  • Build Temple
  • (Optional) Step: DONT Build Turrets. They will slow you down and we will have a large army anyway
  • Send Ghost Out For Supplies
  • Build 3 Warehouses (Upgrade Them)
  • Build Factory
  • Send Prophet to destroy rebels on BOTH sides
  • Build Elite and Send To Forerunner Supply Depot
  • Build Base On Other side After Prophet Destroys Them
  • Build Ghosts
  • Once You Have 16 Ghosts and Prophet – CHARGE
  • Set Rally Point To Enemy Base
  • Target Unit Production Structures
  • Keep Building Ghosts

This is a solid rush but is one of the easier ones to counter. Ghosts are very weak so you need alot of them. The prophet is a MUST because of his cleansing beam.

Covenant Strategy – Banshee Rush
NOTE: Upgraded ground units BEAT air units…that’s why this strategy must have speed.

  • Build warehouses
  • Send Ghost to get supplies
  • Build 2x Turrets
  • After 3 warehouses built – build TEMPLE
  • Build Summit – Keep gathering supplies with Ghost and Prophet alike
  • Upgrade ALL warehouses FIRST
  • Start pumping out Banshee’s till you have about 5
  • Send 5 Banshees + Ghost + Prophet to enemy base and attack
  • Move Rally Point to enemy base
  • Target barracks, airpads, anything that can produce units

Sit back and enjoy your victory!

Covenant Strategy – Hunter Jackal Rush
Note: A hornet rush can counter this one….but its still a good rush.

  • Build warehouses (leave 2 spots)
  • Send out ghost to get supplies (farthest first)
  • Build turrets if you want to
  • Build Temple
  • Upgrade warehouses
  • Build hall
  • Start producing Jackals and Hunters in a 2:1 Ratio
  • 2 Jackal Units for every Hunter Unit
  • Charge once you have a decent size group
  • Change Rally Point to enemy base
  • Concentrate fire on key buildings

Enjoy your victory.

USNC Strategy – Hornet Rush
Note: This takes a few mins longer than the Warthog Rush but it is more powerful and prevents hunters from killing you fast.

  • Build 4 supply depots
  • Build Turrets to defend
  • Send Warthog out gathering supplies
  • Build Reactors
  • Build Air Pad
  • Start cranking out Hornets
  • Upgrade ALL Supply Pads (Priority 1)
  • Once Supply Pads are upgraded go heavy on the hornets
  • Once You Have 12-15 of them CHARGE!

Sit back, enjoy a cold one, and relish your victory.

USNC Strategy – Warthog Rush
NOTE: Simple rush but speed is of the essence AS usual with any RUSH.

  • Build 2x Supply Pads, 1x Reactor – IN THAT ORDER
  • Build 2x Supply Pads and with the remaining 150 – buy another warthog
  • Send your current warthog searching for supplies
  • Once 2x Supply Depots and Reactor are built – RESEARCH Gunner
  • Keep building warthogs – your base should ALWAYS be working on a warthog after this
  • Build last 2 supply pads
  • Once you have a sizable force – CHARGE ahead
  • When you encounter the Prophet of Regret concentrate ALL fire power on him
  • Build Turrets If You Want…
  • Move Rally Point To Enemy Base
  • Concentrate fire on center of base and MAC blast it for good measure

That is the warthog rush that has never failed yet. The Covenant have to be dealt with quickly or they will overpower you.

UNSC Strategy – Elephant Rush
NOTE: The Elephant Rush is one of the fastest if not the fastest rush for the UNSC in Halo Wars. This strategy works great against noobs and pros alike but can still be countered.

  • Build Elephant
  • Create Supply Depots with the rest of your money
  • Send warthog out to gather supplies
  • Build marines from the elephant while supply depots are coming up
  • Maintain balance of Marines always being trained and Supply depots always being built at the same time.
  • Once supply depots are all built charge towards the base
  • Target center building and shoot enemies as they come out
  • Lock Elephant in front of base and keep pumping out marines and flame guys

Optional
You should have a bunch of money by now – recycled a supply depot and create reactor to get the MAC cannon up and ready JUST in case.

Marine Rush – Kill Your Enemy In 5 mins!
Note: This is probably one of the most popular strategies. The rush can catch your opponent off guard and end the game very quickly.

  • Build Barracks and 2 Supply Depots
  • Send the warthog to gather supplies left laying around
  • Put all of your money into producing marines
  • Set The Rally Point
  • Keep pumping out marines
  • Rush Them When You Have About 12 Units
  • Move Rally Point To The Enemy Base
  • Concentrate Fire on Center Building
  • Monitor Battle and Kill Torrents and Other Enemies

Rushing in an RTS game is stupid….. I prefer dragging battles out as far as possible.

I remember telling you the first one. admin, you little copycat, you.

“Rushing in an RTS game is stupid…”
Actually, if executed correctly, a rush is one of the greatest strategies you can use. Nothing’s better than slamming a base that cannot defend itself with troops that are completely fresh.

Well it’s good to see that console gaming has caught up to the PC…

hey let’s see some videos for a “real” RTS, like war3 TFT!
So many strategies/units/heroes ect. and yet you still end up getting cookie cutter strats :(

Man, I ‘really’ miss the times when I could play a RTS game online without being owned by a godamned rusher. It’s the cheapest strategy of them all, and it only originated because people were too impatient to wait out a long battle. =(

@Rise Up – If you play Starcraft 2, I’ll play a long battle if you’d be interested. (Once the game comes out of course!) – Admin

    Deal. =)

    “Online multiplayer.”

    =(
Rushing is a good strategy but it doesn’t teach anything. If you tried that in the real world……you’d have all kinds of stuff hitting you and wiping you out. I prefer to play conservatively. Not wasting units. Online Multiplayer is alright, as long as people don’t rush.

a rush can easily be countered by preparing units and turrets while preparing for the long battle, since rushs use only one type of unit, turrets can be best prepared to counter that unit.

Yes, a rush can easily be halted by buliding turrents and some units, but to just build basic, small turrets costs 1000 resoures, and can at max kill four squads of marines (if they just foucs on your base). This cost is the equlivant of reashering spartiens (with anders) 100%, and still have change left over. Now while that does not makes a differnce to me, the most annoying thing about rushers is the ever growing number of rush-and-leave players. These people usually attack in the first 5 mintues of game. If you are able to defends yourself however, they just leave, wasting about six mintues of my time. Also, most have some preety creeper names, for example:
    Hot_Nasty_girl along with despertiebutwanting
Remeber kids, G.I.R.L= guy in real life.

A rush of grizzlies is a little harder to stop. Ask my fully upgraded cobra tanks and turrets.

rushing is pretty easy to counter even though its pretty noobish u njust have too have SOME troops at all times tip: focus on getting troops within 3 mins. of the match because rushers usually attack at around 5 or 6.

Tell that to Hitler. Make sure to tell France that they should have hit him a lot more to wipe him out. They probably overlooked your basic strategy.

How about we call this tactic a Blitz from now on. Perhaps people won’t cry as much. If you want a long drawn out game, survive the rush, that’s what I do. Usually the rusher must retool after a failed attempt. EVEN better hit them back in the production/resource department, then you can have a long game by letting them rebuild.

i hate rushers, although they have never ever beat me it angers me when i defeat their rush force and they resign, it just seems so cowardly ” my rush didnt work, im getting out of here”. you wanna counter a rush, spy on them after about to minutes, then prepare accordingly, works every time.
