Who is Duke Nukem? He sounds familiar…
ΩOmegaClawsΩ July 28, 2010 #6
Wait, wasn’t this a joke made by the developers at 3-D Realms?
That said, if it were true then my opinion of MC would be forever changed. In a good way that is.
(no, I don’t hate MC, I just can’t stand how overrated he is)

Oh, and to answer syncourt’s question..
Duke is essentially a character who hasn’t had an official appearance since the 1990′s. It’s understandable why most might not know of him. However, you could easily look up Duke on wikipedia or something for sufficient information.

@Syncourt-Who’s Duke Nukem? Dude when did you start gaming? Duke Nukem has to be the funniest FPS character ever created. His personality is basically a mixture of Bruce Cambell and pop culture movies.
Laharl July 28, 2010 #12
Duke nukem is the FPS king.
Effectively having more personality than the chief.

Hmmmmm…….I don’t ever remember Master Chief ripping the head off of a Covenant and crapping down it’s neck. Funny stuff though.

He was being conservative, and he was trying to keep his identity a secret so he could make an dramatic appearance on earth, unfortunately he’s in space now.

What’s with the very last pic? Kinda weird if you ask me…
Syncourt July 28, 2010 #17
Ahh, that explains why I have never played any of his games. Thanks ΩOmegaClawsΩ and midnite marauder.
Oh…and to answer your (rhetorical) question, I started gaming roughly 4-5 years ago.

@Syn-That’s why. Duke Nukem 3-D came out in 96. I was 7 then. Good times.

That is just how epic he is his normal farts kill entire armys.

Just a side question. Have most Duke Nukem 3-D players also experienced the prequels, Duke Nukem 1 and 2? They’re just as classic and I think Duke 3-D might have overshadowed them.
I loved the comic and it was good but it got me to thinking about a larger picture on things..
I think its about time people look at things and say enough is a enough. Duke Nukem was great when it came out and I loved it. It was one of my first true taste of online first person shooter multiplier. But I feel like the 80′s and 90′s all these great ideas came out for tons of things. Movies, games, clothing, whatever… Now the 2000′s have all been about redoing all that crap over and over again. Let’s reboot this. Let’s make this game again exactly how it was just with better graphics and people will by the same old idea over and over again.. Well it needs to stop here.. I mean Lets get some new ideas out there. There is just too much old stuff… Then on top of that a lot of times they remake something and it’s just worse then it once was. I saw its time we shut the vault. Reopen it in like 50 years when it will be really new to everyone. And just work on new fresh things..
