Major grudge match here. And a personal struggle for me as two of my favorite characters face off for bragging rights. I know there are soo many ways each side can win, so in place of logic, I’ll just pick a side knowing that it can go either way.

spawn and ghost rider are very much equal in means on a hell based character
in a case where ghost rider tries to use the penance stance on spawn wont work cause i believe the basis of the penance stance was burning guilt of conscience of the soul amplified by the heat of hell and which just like ghost rider spawn has no soul

SPAWN AND GHOST RIDER epic match love them both spawn can adapt to any punishment brought o him ghost rider can get blown into pieces and please dont use the penance stance issue cause that wont work trust me it only works for guys who have souls spawn doesnt have one remember he also sold his soul ghost rider has a limit when he is ghost rider his power if fueled by the spirit of vengeance spawn is powered by his rage he cant even turn back into human BUT i see them teaming up with hellboy man that would make an epic team all of them gaining full power that would be pretty sweet

ok ive read all 200+ posts seen where ghost rider wins and where Spawn fails.
im not looking to start the thread up again but this is one of those unfair matches that i detest.
because 1 since spawn accomplished his greatest feat. he’s been relinquishing power because he wants to be mortal. 2 they are trying to wrap up the storyline hence AL attempting to kill himself and jim downing.
so basically this is a fight between GR whose continues to grow stronger because he’s needed in the marvel verse against Spawn who has been giving up power, steadily weakening for about 30 issues since banishing God and Satan, for the sake of mortality. he finally breaks and blows his head off only basically wake up as downing.
my logic is saying that any fight including spawn just cant use current incarnation rule. becuase it would be down right unfair becuase everyone is on the same page when they request spawn fights they are thinking of him at his best.
have some sympathy for the dude, after he lost control of K7-leetha he just became unqualifiable for any match. its that bad i mean you know who defeated morana right? cyan and nyx.
so basically what im getting at is that jim downing doesnt qualify for a match as spawn and after he reliquished his omnipotence he basically became powerless.
so if spawn is debated at least give him his god powers, or if thats to much of a stretch for you, use him after he aquired unlimited energy.
but not this this spawn match and every other one is a travesty, and not what the character is capable of.
