Dark Light
Ghost Rider Vs Baron Samedi
Ghost Rider Vs Baron Samedi

Here’s an interesting match that could either be over quickly, or could last for some time. While Ghost Rider’s abilities are powerful, Baron has some tricks up his sleeves that he could use as well.

Who wins?

    I’m going with the Rider on this one. One Penance stare and its all over.

    As things stand, I don’t see this going well for GR at all.

    The only way this would be a fair match is IF the yet un-confirmed statement of Ghost Rider actually being the Angel of Death would be true. The Spirit of Vengeance is a powerful entity indeed, one that has dispatched some powerful demons the likes of Lucifer himself, but I have no idea how he could deal with a Voodoo god…

    I’ll get back to this one I’ve done some research.

    I don’t remember suggesting this one…but well, I know Ghost Rider is pretty powerful, but they don’t call Baron the Lord of Death for nothing

    Samedi is a god. He cannot be beaten by the pawn of demigods.

    Found a certain fascination towards Samedi, eh Admin? I always liked Ghede more with all do respect. Though people always get the two mixed up.

    A fan? More like a practioner, but ya Baron doesn’t let people die unless they deserve it or it’s their time

    ‘God’ and ‘Demon’ are pure semantics……..Baron Samedi is nothing but a demon being called a ‘god’.

    @Mac

    Perhaps, but that does not change the level of power the two beings wield respectively.

    Samedi has enough power to be meassured to the level commonly associated with Gods, while Ghost Rider is more like an Avatar to the Christian God. GR has indeed defeated beings of arguable similar calibre such as Malebolgia, Blackheart, and Lucifer (all demons, I know), but there is no conclussive evidence (yet) that he could take on the Baron on an equal standing. Semantics or no, being tied to the Christian God makes the Rider specially equipped to deal with Christian demons.

    We might get the answer to this one at the finale of the current story arch, Heaven’s on Fire. GR is set to take on the Archangel who took over Heaven itself. I’d say we will have a decent point of comparison there in terms of raw power.

    Currently, the only other point of refference we have is GR’s encounters with Nightmare, a powerful god outside the Christian pantheon. Problem is that the Spirit of Vengeance has not done well against the lord of dreams at all.
