Making his debut on FactPile is Kid Buu of the DragonballZ franchise. While both are very powerful beings, I’m not sure the Sith Lord can withstand the assault that Buu could throw at him.
What say you?

Kid Buu vs. Palpatine?
Really?
How bout Kid Buu vs. I dunno, friggen Ghost Rider! Kid Buu is stupidly powerful.

Wow thats random.
Pretty sure Kid Buu has this one in the bag. He can regenerate from almost any attack and can deal a good amount of damage himself. I think by the time Palpatine had began to do anything that would hurt the monster, he could have been killed in a variety of ways.
Palpatine chocolate anyone?

Since kid buu can throw off attacks that shatter mountains, fly through space un- aided and has enough energy to destroy planets.

I really dont see Emperor Palpatine lasting more than 3 seconds, hell i dont think he could beat him with the full power of the empire at his side.
Kid Buu could probaly take the whole Imperial Navy by himself, since he would be too small target effectively by their heavy weapons, he would move too quickly for any tie fighter to intercepte him and he has at least the power output of the deathstar.

Everyone in DBZ is ridiculously powerful. Hell, Vegeta was capable of destroying a planet with his finger tips when we first met him and Kid Buu is like 1,000,000 times stronger (no joke).

Soz for the second post but here is the video of Buu destroying earth

and if you listen to what they say the attack has enough energy to destroy the planet ten times over, so im sorry emperor but its been good knowing you.

well this is unfair Kid Buu wont even have to 5% of his power against Palpatine

Considering Palpatine needed a Death Star to destroy a planet and Kid Buu had the ability to destroy a planet 10 times over in one shot…
Kid Buu hands down.

Actually, he could. There’s probably no weapon in Star Wars that could keep him down permanently.
Palpatine gets absorbed, nuff’ said.

I say Kid Buu. Last time I remember in Dragon Ball Z it was almost impossible to defeat the sorry son of a bitch. Though it would be funnier if this was regular Maajin Buu because the he could eat Palpatine.

Hell even regular buu was able to kill all life on Earth with ease. Palpatine stands no chance.

Kid Buu takes the cake.
Palpatine has never been able to show as much carnage as Buu with his powers alone.

I gotta say I’d give this fight to Kid Buu, but only because he’s a super being, but other factors still come into play:
Like how Palpateine has the lightning and the force so maybe with his energy attacks could be redirected at him. That is the only real way I could see him having a chance of winning, but there are powers Palpateine has that were never revealed, remember he learned just about everything there is to know with the Dark side.

Palpatine will only be the start, eventually Kid Buu will bring the entire SW universe to its knees, he will simply go world to world with instant transmission, and destroy them and any ships and star bases in the area, and since he is immortal he wipe out all life in SW universe given enough time.

Goku and the rest of the DBZ crew barely defeated him. I hate to say this Palpatine would last less than 10 seconds

I prefer Palpatine as a villain, but Kid Buu is just too insanely overpowered to lose this. I’d like to entertain the thought of Palpatine outsmarting and defeating him, but it isn’t too likely. He’s nearly invinciple to anything except Death Star level firepower, and even then he has insane regenerative powers.

I also think Kid Buu has the win. One on one with Palatine isn’t the fairest of matches. Imperial Navy, perhaps, but that’s another debate. The only thing I can see the Emperor doing is putting Buu to sleep with the Force and that’s only a stall tactic.

“I’m oretty sure they’d be somewhat capable of putting the overblown chewing gun to rest.”
Like I said, Buu’s massive speed and teleportation would overwhelm Palpatine before he had a chance to unleash such attacks. Though as Buu was able to hold his own against a Spirit Bomb (possibly the show’s single most devastating attack against evil beings, which is saying something), I don’t think they would do much even if they did hit.
Physical attacks are also out, as the shape of Buu’s body has no limits.

Hmm… Lightsabre heat and cutting versus somewhat elasticated foe… Could be interesting. I don’t truly think old Palpatine has much of a chance, but I think people who’ve read the EU books could know far more about his prospective power.

Ok so… anything else to add? Considering, Kid Buu was able to destroy multiple planets with one shot and still regenerate after the explosions, he would be able to easily withstand even a Death Star super laser and most if not all other super weapons. To destroy Buu, you need to “destroy” the atoms that make up his body, as he can regenerate at the subatomic level, so even unique weapons such as the Boba’s Disruptor would be useless. I mean after all, this is the guy who shrugs off multi-planet busting shots like their nothing, fight inside of his own stomach, teleport into the afterlife, and scream holes in reality.
The second best method I can think of for getting rid of Buu might be to get him inside a black hole ( as the force exerted on him could prevent from escaping ) but as far as I know, a black hole was only ever artificially produced once during a specific event.

“The second best method I can think of for getting rid of Buu might be to get him inside a black hole”
Even this is not a sure thing since he can teleport.
I would like to know what these weapons that can defeat Buu are, since weapons like the death star, galaxy gun and sun crusher would stop him.

The Death Star is a mild weapon when it comes to SW superweapons. The best thing the Empire has at its disposal is the Suncrusher, a relatively small sized ship built to survive (as well as execute) supernovas. I would bet the atomic power in a supernova could kill Buu if it hit, that being the stipulation. The Suncrusher is also built to be able to survive crashes in hyperspace, which is actually also one of its best weapons.
A more superior weapon perhaps is Centerpoint Station. While it isn’t under Imperial control or understanding, it literally smashes two solar systems together. It’s ability to snipe anywhere from its position against any point in the galaxy makes it a terrifying weapon. And this weapon not only has the force of one supernova, but also that of a second supernova, and the kinetic force of an entire solar system moving at near instantaneous acceleration. Being sandwiched between that would kill vaporize him outright, no single cell (or atom) left from which to regenerate.

@Corran_Star:
Thank you for that look in SW superweapons. I wasn’t aware of either of those.
BTW, your avatar looks strangely similar to Matapiojo’s. Is either party related somehow?

Even with those two super weapons, does Palpatine even know how to work with them? Sure, he probably ordered them to be created and order it’s activation plenty of time, but has he ever used them personally?

@AHEM
Thanks, but no, no relation, I’m kinda new to this site actually. Actually, on a slightly off topic note, is bumping good when you have relevant information?
@AkumaTh
The Empire doesn’t have access to Centerpoint Station. Also, as you say, he cannot use the Suncrusher personally, so for the purpose of this duel I would give the win to Buu.

@Corran_Star: Bumping is allowed on any of the fights, even if it’s months old or already over.
Heck, I’ve seen the Superman/Goku fight continue on and on and it could be possible to reignite the debate if you have new, decisive information.

Yeah, in a duel that’s pretty much inevitable, but it gives the SW universe hope in a Kid Buu vs. Star Wars type of thought.

@Megaraptor18
Most SW super-weapons only destroy planets or single solar systems. Centerpoint is the only one that can do both. It functions by move objects as large as stars through hyperspace itself, to another location. Moving one solar system into another while in hyperspace destroys both. Typically you only need one system destroyed, so it has simply been used to destroy the cores of stars resulting in a single supernova. The Centerpoint Station was responsible for the creation of the Corellia system (not the star, but orchestrating the rest of the system). A brief overview can be found here:

im not even sure the centrepoint station could kill buu, since he such a small object to target, has the ability to sense energy and can teleport, i direct hit from the weapon may do it but it would have to uttely destroy him since he can return from a single cell.

@shaun182
I don’t have any doubt that the destruction of two solar systems (and all the nuclear energy contained therein) would destroy every atom in Buu’s body. You have a good point that one would have to hit him true. But even when face with Goku SS3′s ultimate attack he didn’t jump ship, and that attack was coming many episodes in advance. A solar system in hyperspace is many times more sudden than the speed of light, faster than the movement of the Spirit Bomb. I don’t think Buu is any pushover, but the destruction Centerpoint creates seems unfathomable. I haven’t seen DB GT, but as of yet, I haven’t seen that amount of destruction at one time in the rest of the GB universe.

You don’t have to go too far. Broly apparently did this in his base form ( as opposed to his LSSJ form ). I can’t remember, but I think Buu was also stated to destroy a galaxy ( though he probably did it gradually ). Though keep in mind Broly is a movie character.

Super Buu have shown twice the ability to rip dimensions by screaming. By releasing all his energy, he is said to be able to destroy the entire universe.
—
Though you do bring up a good point with the centerpoint station. Too destroy Kid Buu, you need to blow apart his atoms, something the force of a star moving at near lights speeds should be able to accomplish.
—
AHEM -”Yeah, in a duel that’s pretty much inevitable, but it gives the SW universe hope in a Kid Buu vs. Star Wars type of thought.”
I’m willing to accept the Centerpoint Station and the Suncrusher can destroy Buu if it hit him, but it still would be very difficult to catch him with those weapons.

KID BUU???!!! KID BUU???!!! THAT’S INSANE!!!!!!!!! Palpatine would see him. then he’d be all like: “you are sssstroooong in the forccccce. youuuu will beeee myyy apprentice, AND WE WILL RULE THE GALAXY FORRREVERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!” And when he’s done spazzing out, Buu will laugh in his face and eat him for dessert.

Kid Buu is somehow even worse than the Yuuzhan Vong Armada, in its entirety, isn’t he?
So how would the Star Wars Galaxies be able to destroy Kid Buu, with the weapons mentioned?
I think this is where battle meditation comes in, right?
