This looks like it’d be a match of endurance. How long would Hulk pursue Deadpool and what could be done to slow Banner down?
In the end, I think Hulk takes it.
What say you?

Deadpool is only immortal because thanos cursed him.
I guess hulk could overcome deadpool’s curse and kill him but, Im not so sure.

i reckon hulk can defeat deadpool, without killing him if its possible, he can just try throwing him to orbit towards the sun, since the huge amounts of gravity will keep deadpool trapped there until the sun dies in a few billion years.

“Deadpool is immortal via thanos curse and deapool has a teleportation device.”
Er… What? Thanos didn’t litterally make Deadpool immortal, he just wanted to create limitless Deadpool copies so that he may never truly die. You know, so that Deadpool may never see Death again? The plan was thwarted by Deadpool when he destroyed the ‘clone artifact’ along with his copies… He’s not immortal… just kick-ass…
Oh, and Hulk for the WIN-BUTTON!!!

God I hated that…
Well, considering the fact it was Zombie-Hulk (along with seveal others if I remember correctly, Galactus was starving too) and not mainstream Hulk, I don’t know… The Hulk doesn’t typicly ‘eat’ his foes… But, I suppose it’s possible…?

that is probably the worst thing he could do, because then it would be a repeat of old man logan, where hulk ate wolverine, wolvering heals in his stomache and cuts his way out, killing hulk, so if he eats deapoll thats probly the only way deadpool wins

Another match I see as going on indefinitely.
Deadpool cannot be killed, and even barring that advantage, he has extreme regeneration. I find it hard to come up with a way that Deadpool could kill the Hulk, but in a match between someone who cannot die and someone who is immensely tough, I have to go with the immortal. Adamantium weapons(such as Wolverine’s claws) seem to be able to cut the Hulk’s thick hide, and if I remember correctly, Deadpool has adamantium weapons. Reliable resources if he ever gets caught in the center of a star and the rest of his equipment is burnt away.

here is deadpool opinion on fighting the hulk
[quote]
Joe Kelly was the first writer to show him breaking the fourth wall, with minor mentions as early as Deadpool #4, when Deadpool is informed that he will have to fight the Hulk in order to obtain his DNA; he protests and begins to sing the theme song from the 60′s Hulk cartoon: “No shinola I’m scared! This is the INCREDIBLE HULK here! Doc Bruce Banner, pelted by Gamma Rays, turned into the Hulk – Ain’t he unglamorous?!? The FREAKIN’ HULK!”[quote]

Might mean something……I get the sense, and this is just my personal opinion….that there is a very slight chance, that maybe, just maybe, Deadpool might be experiencing something called fear or nervousness……it is always a possibility…..

Hulk can always throw Deadpool into the sun. There problem solved. How is a body suppose to regenerate after being burned flames that’s temperature is 5,778 Kelvin (or 5505 ºC). Deadpool might be able to come back from many physical blows, but not being vaporized completely.

Throw annoying little man into big yellow ball in blue sky? Me need be smart to do that? Nah, I think the Hulk would still win this without throwing Deadpool into the sun. Hulk’s regenerative ability is on par with Deadpool if not more. Surviving nuclear explosion, with entire flesh taken off, leaving only a skeleton lift. He came back after a few minutes (if I am not mistaken). Besides that, I am sure his speed, strength, and raw endurance will allow him to pummel deadpool into the ground….and again…and again…..and again…..till Hulk gets so pissed he will throw him into the sun.

If Deadpool is not completely immortal, e.g. protected from death in all forms, then I would favor Hulk.
If Deadpool is not immortal and his weapons cannot harm the Hulk, I would definitely favor Hulk.
If Deadpool is truly immortal and his adamantium weapons can pierce the Hulk’s skin(as Wolverine’s claws have), then I would lean towards Deadpool.
Going to depend on quite a few factors in the end . . .

What is your definition of immortality? Frankly, I am confused with what other people say. I though immortality meant you would not die of natural means, but still be able to be killed (like the elves of Middle Earth). Is not invulnerability mean, that one is protected from all harm, though still possible one may die of old age? Thanks, and have a pleasant day (or night).

@ Pondering Fool
I’ve also had the same discrepancies with that word. I’ve seen people use it in the same sense the Middle-earth elves being immortal in that they could feasibly live forever if an orc doesn’t shove a blade up their arrogant asses.
And I’ve seen people use it in the sense here in which it seems to cover both incredibly long life and invincibility, as in you can stab them or you could stand there snapping your fingers at them because it’s just as effective at stabbing. Even if a character’s head is cut off, burned, and then the ashes mixed with concrete and then after hardening, thrown into the Antarctic sea, the character will still some how come back.
And then there’s the Cthulu version of immortality where you can conceivably kill their physical form, but their soul and essence will go back to the Void to bide their time and regenerate. God help you when he comes back for vengeance

@Zerviel
Thanks for replying mate. So what would you say Deadpool’s “immortality” is like, compared to other uses of the term? Does he have the immortality of lets say, Wolverine, who, though not blessed with immortality through mystical means, his healing factor allows him to live far beyond the range of normal mortals? Or is it like Lobo, who got kicked out of Heaven and Hell (for having such bad-assery) and not able to die? Thanks.

Deadpool was in love with death and Thanos was also in love with her but she liked deadpool, so Thanos cursed him so he cant die-So he could never be with death
Deadpool has had his head cut off like 5 times and is still alive BUT his head has to be reattached, he cant just grow a new body. Honesly DP is my fav marvel char But he cant touch the hulk :/
At the end of marvel ultimate alliance 2 if you beat the game while playing as deadpool he is talking to one of the creators while the credits go by and says
DP: Why are all of the hero’s in this game as strong as me? I could kill any of these goody two shoes wussies!
Creator: Oh really? What about the Hulk?
Dp:…Besides him!
Creator: Oh what about the thing?
Dp:…If he had a cold!
then he gets mad and threatens him him with his katana or somehting, I found it funny so I thought id share :p

There are a couple of different flavors/levels of immortality:
Ageless: You can never die of aging. Usually comes with a mild healing factor(as it is best explained as your body being more resilient to the wear of ages than normal human’s) and a resistence to mortal diseases. Ageless characters are still vulnerable and can be killed by injury like anyone else.
Reincarnated immortal: Like Cthulhu, Sauron, or the God Emperor of Mankind. Their physical manifestation can be destroyed, but their spirit will not move on and they can/could conceivably build a new body and return or be reincarnated into a new one.
True immortality: Cannot be killed by any means, regenerates all wounds, does not age, and it is physically and metaphysically impossible to remove their spirit from the mortal world no matter what you do to their bodies. Lesser versions of this are like Lobo, banned from passing on, while higher ups are usually deities/powers of reality who are part of the universe itself and cannot be destroyed, anymore than the idea of time could be destroyed.
I would say Deadpool has a lower-down version of true immortality, as Pcpforbreakfast explains in post #33.

Deadpool definitely has the advantage in terms of speed. He is superhuman, while the Hulk is not. While he can run faster and jump higher distances than the best humans, the Hulk is not particularly agile and his size and weight can be used against him by quicker opponents.

Since Wolverine’s claws have pierced the Hulk’s skin before, I have to agree, provided the Hulk isn’t running on maximum anger.
BTW, does anyone know of an instance where the Hulk has taken severe brain/head trauma? It would help to know if damaging his brain could permanently kill him or if his healing factor would cover that.

Hulk wins this
There’s nothing Wade can do to hurt hulk, all he can do is piss him off w/his Jokes.

Hulk wins by submission. Human psychology can only handle so much pain before giving up. It might take weeks or months, but eventually, deadpool is going to want out.
February 25, 2010

Dude, Deadpool is already insane by being tortured in the place that gave him a healing factor, and because of that, he can completely ignore pain. I saw a comic where Deathstroke stuck an ass load of sharp crap in him. Deadpool was completely unfazed.

So, I guess this match goes on indefinitely until either:
1) Deadpool gives up.
2) Deadpool flees, thus giving Hulk the win by proxy.
3) Deadpool somehow tricks/fools the Hulk into giving up, forfeiting, or some other circumstance which would be counted as a win for Deadpool.

i think we should ask ourselves an even better question: Hulk vs Hulkpool.
that should even this up.
As it stands, Deadpool loses. I mean as awesome as the merc’ with a mouth is, he can’t stand against the jade giant. I think the only realistic situation where Deadpool could win is if he set Hulk against another target. Deadpool is quite capable of being that annoyingly clever. Hulk then loses the Hulk vs Deadpool fight by default.as funny as that would be, Wade ol’ buddy, sorry.

Hulkpool would prove a good match, but the hulk has beaten the snot out of all the other hulked up versions of stuff, made to destroy him.
