Dark Light
Babylon 5 & StarCraft Vs Star Wars & Star Trek
Babylon 5 & StarCraft Vs Star Wars & Star Trek

I think this could the most lopsided battle to ever make it to the site. While I never really got into Babylon 5, so I might be missing something, I am a huge fan of the other three series, and even with the armies/races of StarCraft, I don’t know how they could go against the the universes of Star Wars AND Star Trek.

Can Babylon 5 and Starcraft fans save their franchises?

    WWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A battle of giants (but I think Babylon 5 & Star Wars vs Stargate & Star Trek would have been a more even match).

Like you said, it seems pretty lopsided. Out of the fore, regardless of how much i love it, I simply dont think Star Craft is as rich and varied as the others. B5/SC is simply outclassed by all the awe-inspiring combined content of SW/ST.

well i think b5 has a chance with all those races and vorlons and shodows i think they would kick ass the vorlons have a planet destroyer which is like f#cking HUGE so b5 vs Star wars vs ST would be a close call but SC is way out there

this isnt even a fair battle. Star trek Alone would win. one reason. BORG. there goes the neighborhood. Zerg Absorb new genetic sequences. Borg absorb YOU. all of you. Technology, tactics, biological distinctiveness, intelligence, information, you name it, the Borg will take it.

It’s gotta be an obvious SW&ST for the win. I don’t know anything about B5, but:

    SW Universe:
SW has the Force, Death Stars, SD’s, Clone Troops, Droid Armies, etc (and if you really want it to be completely lopsided, add the Yuuzhan Vong, Chiss, Ssi-Ruuk… really, do I HAVE to keep going? Oh, I do? Sun Crusher, Center Point Station, Galaxy Gun, World Devastators, Dark saber… here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_Wars_superweapons ).
And okay, maybe if you just limit it to Empire/Republic/Alliance it’d be more fair (I didn’t say it would be fair, i said more fair than above), but still; The Force! The Empire! ‘Nuff said.

    ST Universe:
ST has transporters, and uber-advanced technology (temporal technology, quantum mechanics tech, etc) on their side. Oh yeah, and Borg. And Q. Borg have their own personal shields that adapt to anything after a few hits. Oh, and the ENTIRE COLLECTIVE adapts immediately.

    SC Universe:
Man, I love SC, one of the best VG franchises out there! But their tech isn’t evolved enough to compete with SW OR ST, let alone them both together…

    B5:
Umm… unless they have 5 Aces up their sleeves, I’m sure the Royal Flush up there wins.

Come on Babylon 5 has lots of weapons, which escape me at the moment.

But… I guess I would have to agree with the general consensus.

One Transphasic torpedo and even Victory class would be packing. Not to mention Death Star.

Babylon5 is not so helpless, especially if the first ones get involved. But even leaving them out they would give a good showing with the white stars and Excalibur type ships. The main gun of the Excalibur fires a beam something like a quarter-mile wide that destroys all matter in its path (though it has a recharge time that limits its usefulness to one or two shots in most engagements) a lot like sdf-1′s main gun in macross. Even the old minbari cruisers (the sunfish like ones) have anti-proton beams that could saw a star destroyer in half and their ecm makes them very hard to hit until you can overcome it. Drakk ships are nothing to sneeze at either. Centauri ships would probably be about the equal of some of the older imperial ships that are still in use from the old republic, though the rest of the races (except maybe the vree and some of the newer shadowtech enhanced earthforce destroyers) would be only good for taking on smaller and older ships and fighters or maybe for massed fire against single capital ships.

If you add in even the least of the first ones, the vorlon and the shadows (as if they would ever work together), it would be even better. Any of the other first ones would have to be countered by the Q and the other kill-a-whole-race-with-a-thought types from star trek and then they would most likely overpower the first ones without much trouble.

That said i still highly doubt babylon5 would be able to carry the battle against star wars and star trek alone, and starcraft is probably too outclassed to make much of a difference (except possibly as ground troops and even then i do not think they would make up the difference).
