What if…Khyron didn’t destroy the SDF-1?

So, if you’re a Robotech fan, here’s an interesting question - Suppose Khyron never obliterated the SDF-1, SDF-2 and his ship?

Would the Robotech Masters still be as interested in acquiring the protoculture matrix? (I think so)
Would the SDF-3 even been built?
Where would Captain Gloval end up?
Would the Invid even learn about planet Earth?

Robotech Vs Transformers

Here we have two my of my favorite ‘toons from the 80’s (Yes, I’m that old) - and while the Transformers may have been more popular, Robotech would win this battle with little trouble.

While the Transformers may have Unicron, Robotech have the Invid, Robotech Masters, and most importantly, protoculture.

Robotech wins in a landslide!

Enterprise Vs SDF-1

No research needed here. Easily a battle of the ages. Take into consideration the captains of each ship and the advantage would go to the Enterprise. But for sheer firepower the Super Dimensional Fortress would make toast of the “Class of Starfleet” in about 12 seconds.

Robotech Alpha Fighter Vs Battletech Mad Cat

I have to admit that I am completely biased for the Robotech side of things as I grew up on it, played all the RPG’s (all 3 wars), and own the entire series and anything else related on DVD. As for Battletech, I always felt like it was a rip-off of Robotech. But, to be fair, we shouldn’t compare pilots since we all know who has the better ones…
