So here he have the greatest bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe going against MC straight up.

Yet I dont know how this one would play out. Ill let others expose their points, tho I think Im leaning towards the MC.
Durge owns on this one. None of Masterchiefs weapons even affect Durge at all, it is not even because of his armor either he will regenerate from everything MC can throw at him. MasterChief can even hit him with the Splaser and it would barely even affect him. Durge literally took a whole squad of 15-20 clone troopers fire at once and just kept running at them.
For argument’s sake (cause I think I agree with you).
If we take 117’s Luck factor into consideration, could MC not find a way to neutralize Durge? Which was why I initially leaned towards MC.
If it goes downt to straight combat Durge wins, no doubt, but I think MC is far more tactical than the bounty hunter. Which would help MC be the victor depending on the location, situation of their fight.
He has no real weak-points, nothing short of liquification will stop him and even then, he actually came back from that….
Considering that Durge has eons of experience in hunting Jedi and Mandos (which are better than MC), is virtually immortal, is armed to the teeth with SW-grade weaponry, is completely psychotic, and has titanic amounts of strength. MC doesn’t have a prayer, like seriously the only things from his universe that would kill him would be the rings or to call down a localized glassing, both of which are null points.
This ranks in the absolute scale of hopelessness for Master Chief between the scale of Space Marine and Magneto, possibly nestling comfortably in the centre.
A two thousand year old, highly aggressive Bounty Hunter, with no vital organs or known physical weak points (Brain, heart, lungs etc.) that has the the titanic strength to lift several thousand tonnes of Star Ship from on top of himself after being buried alive for 60 years; or catch a Tank whilst moving and use it as a melee weapon. He has fought in many numerous engagements with Sith, Jedi and Mandalorians and even served as a General in several dozen major wars (Throughout his 2000 year lifespan) ranging from the Sith Wars, the New Sith Wars and the Clone wars.
He is a highly profficient tactician with many vast years of experience. In terms of intelligence, tactical knowledge and strategic analysis he defeats Master Chief easily, without a doubt.
Durge had a number of cybernetic implants that allowed him to use his heavy combat armor more efficiently. His own neuro-network worked in tandem with his armor’s computer system, and his helmet’s targeting system was directly connected to his optic nerves. The armor itself was specifically crafted to increase balance and agility. He wielded an arsenal of powerful weapons; along with a pair of blaster pistols and a rifle, he was equipped with a jetpack and energized magna bolas. His armor sported machine gun gauntlets which fired flechettes, a wrist-mounted flamethrower, a spiked flail, dart launchers and energy shields capable of blocking lightsaber attacks for a short time. When unrestricted by his armor, he could extend his body parts long enough to strike down far-away opponents, and could even sharpen parts of his body to create a claw-like weapon instantly.

The only lucky break Master Chief can hop for is that Durge will kill him quick and painlessly; although knowing his reputation for bloodlust I cannot imagine he would.

Master Chief will win.
Yes, Durge has extreme regenerative properties, and may go after the Chief for countless times.
But, no matter how many times he comes, Master Chief will blow him back to oblivion.
Take into account the Chief’s luck, his enhanced physique and cool armor, and his superb combat skills, being able to destroy a Covenant armada by himself without any real help.

Asuming all the things said about Durge so far are true, then he would probably kill Master Chief pretty easily.. Or at least thats my stance for now. I’ll do a little research and see whats really true about Durge’s abilities
Rapid Regeneration is not just one of the advantages Durge has over the Chief, we’re talking about:
1) Superior strength and agility: Even without his suit of armour, Durge stilll posseses a strength far greater than Master Chief (As I mentioned, capable of lifting entire Star Ships off his own head) and the speed and agility to duel with Jedi and Sith unaided. His suit only performs to streamline and enhance his actions and abilities, making his physique alone far greater than that of a thousand SPARTAN warriors.
2) Superior technology: We’ve proven before on many occasions that Star Wars weaponry and armour is easily superior to that of the UNSC and Covenant weaponry and ordinance.
In this case Master Chief would either die faster than usual, or would simply suffer a terrible death when Durge discards his weapons and crushes Master Chief with his bare hands (Or claws).
3) Experience and skill: A two thousand year old veteran of several wars and the slayer of Jedi, Sith, Mandalorian and Clone Troopers. Durge has taken on some of the toughest opponenets in the Star Wars universe in either one on one combat or as a general, tactitican and strategist serving to fuel the onset of War.
Master Chief cannot, once again, compete with Durge in this arena. In comparison, Master Chief is just a wet behind the ears combat virgin waiting to be perforrated with bullets.
if the only way durge can be killed is to be thrown in to the sun, then mc gets a covonet ship to fight on. He would then destory all of the transport posable except for one thing he could use to escape. Durge would come on to the ship, and cortna would start heading towards a sun. Durge, not notecing would hunt mc down. When there are right inside the suns gravitational pull, cortna would stop the ship, and mc would head back to his getaway vechile. Durge would rise after him, but would not be able to keep track of where mc is. Mc gets one the ship, promise Cortna he will be back, and gets out of thier. Meanwhile durge is stuck and heading towareds the sun. Sorry if I spelled wrong, or if I don’t make sense, it is really late.
Anakin only just managed to kill Durge, and that was only through the force. Basically MC is screwed.
Mc his weapons has no effect
i think mc has a small chance only becouse of cortana she could possably hack his armor or find a weak spot hidden for a millenia

Durge is a Gen’Dai , who are a fairly non-aggressive species and just keep to themselves, Durge is one of the nut jobs however; from both being born aggressive and from the eons of torture that the Mandolorians put him through, driving him somewhat insane.
Durge has no real weak point and Cortana couldn’t hack his armor, people seem to love bringing her up but don’t quite understand the whole concept about what it means to hack something. Cortana is of practically no use in 99% of these battles.
This battle is utterly hopeless for MC….
I agree with AlphaCommando. People seem to forget that in both the HALO games and books, Cortana could only hack things by having direct interface with the systems. Has she somehow gained the ability to remotely hack things, or is that just in their imaginations?

It’s true that durge is awesome but stick him with a plasma grenade and it incinerates part of his flesh meaning he can’t regenerate that peice of flesh.
it may seem like a cheap strategy but in theory it could work.
Durge once survived a Thermal Detonator exploding at close proximity, destroying large sections of his armour plating and incinerating a significant portion of his body; yet he could regenerate lost tissue moments later.
So much for the Plasma grenade theory.
