Wolverine vs Link

Two scrappy fighters enter the cove facing each other after emerging from the sparkling water. Wolverine extends his claws yet again as Link retrieves his faithful Gale boomerang…

How does this end?

Given Wolverine’s regenerative abilities, it’s difficult to know how much it would take to stop him.

Link, with his powerful ranged weapons, is going to dominate the beginning of this battle, with a barrage of magic arrows and bombs.
Wolvering might be able to dodge a few, but with Link’s impeccable aiming (known in the games as ‘Z-targeting’) this is unlikely, and one hit will probably throw wolverine off balance enough, that he can’t dodge most of the other.

It’s likely that all the bombs and fire arrows will be enough to weaken (if not defeat) wolverine, so he can be finished off in close combat, or just freeze wolverine in to a block with an ice arrow.

Wolverine’s only chance is if he sneaks up on Link, and attacks at close range with his claws and martial art skills, but this is going to be difficult, as Link can take a LOT of damage, and has an indestructible magic shield (well, he’s got 2, but he only uses one at a time), and can use magic instantaniously (e.g. Din’s Fire, to damage Wolverine, and knock him away, or Nayru’s Love, to make Link invincible for a short amount of time).

Wolverine could also try the materchief method, as he has a lot less total ‘health’ than Link, but can recharge his health, so all he has to is just about getting hit, then run away until his health regenerates, and repeat this until Link uses up all his ranged ammo, but this could only work if he can escape to somewhere that Link can’t follow in order to recharge (which isn’t likely).

And there’s also the easy way for Link to win, using the masks, to turn him in a giant (giant’s mask) or a demi-god (fierce deity mask) or such.
Or he could just use the Triforce to basically turn in to Goku, but that’s kind of overkill, and isn’t exactly fair.

But regardless, Link for the (easy) win.

agreed (the maskes are cheap though.) i vote no triforce thats like mastercheif useing the ark to activate all the halos and kill every thing so no triforce.

This makes me sick.. I mean are you F-ing kidding!!!! How could an 8 year old in green tights whose roughly equivalent to an adolescent Robin Hood ever hope to beat a grown man with adimantium bones, a regeneration factor rivaled by none, and freaking foot long claws that can literally cut through anything

    um…..

Look at the picture, he’s more like 18 than 8, although, even if he was 8, he’d probably still win because he has a much greater variety of attack, is stronger, more skilled, more powerful, has magic, etc.

And in no way is he equivalent to Robin Hood, unless it’s a manga version of Robin Hood, who has as many magic items as Batman has gadgets, and is superhuman in almost every way.

    wolverine wins

Wolverine will be (if not dead or incapacitated) too worn out from all the regeneration by the time Link runs out of ammo, and wont be able to put up any kind of a fight, and Link can then just knock him out with a megaton hammer to the face.

And Wolverine’s healing factor won’t really help him when he’s frozen in a block of ice, or a number of Link’s other magic items.

Link has almost as many ways he can win this as he has magic items, Wolverine only has a few possibilities for victory, all of which have only a very slight chance of success.

be onest do you think some little tight wearin p#ssy is ever gone beat wolverine. do a little research he’s a soldier a samuria and nutter with six claws

  9. 9 - person guy on August 25th, 2008 10:29 pm

yes but you gave little reason besides having six claws.

link has magic arrows,a unbreakable sword,
not to mention a gaunlet that gives him super strength.
ok so link hasnt been trained at all.
but he doesnt need that and has destroyed many powerful foes.
so dont count him out yet

Well, he wouldn’t REALLY be getting tired from Link’s attacks, Wolverine’s healing factor gives him almost limitless stamina. Also a master of close quarters combat, he’d outlast Link’s magical armors ruppee supply, and I doubt Link would be able to kill him, maybe stop him however, a knockout blow etc, although Wolverines strength and speed are quite impressive, and may just be enough to rip Link apart, as long as he out-lasts Link’s mana.

    All in all, toucgh call.

Wolverine’s healing helps him, but doesn’t give him the advantage. Sure adamantium is “indestructible”, but there would be three things to break it. Legendary swords, magic, and liightsabers.

if link uses his bow at the beginig as bob says and then turn into goron well it probably him he would win but in the second hand knowing how much wolverine can take with the new movie of x-en were tha chixx was burning everything and his regeneration was so quick then hmmm id say he would heal bfor link get his mask on hard to know who would win id sincerl say wolverine jus tby fact that what ever link do wolverine woudl heal bakc i think only super sayan and some shit like it or buu :P anyting that would exterminate him in to million of pieces or absorb him link doesnt have nether :(

I’d like to bring up the fact that Ganondorf is pretty much invincible unless killed by the Mastersword. Maybe it would have similar effects of Wolveine rendering him useless to regeneration, although this may only effect evil entities, being the sword of evil’s bane and all =P. That said who knows what effects the Mastersword would have on otherworldly creatures.

And to all you people who think Link is a pussy for wearing tights:
    1. Even though he does this, he is more manly than you, no matter what age he is.
    2. Wolverine wears Spandex… so you cant say Link is a pussy for what he wears. (Don’t get me wrong I love Wolverine too!)

I stated this in the Link vs. Cloud fight, so ill just summarize it. With a bottle of Château Romani and Magic Armour from Wind Waker Link can have invincibility for 3 days, and he can hold at minimum 6 bottles of the stuff. Also I’m pretty sure complete invincibility is better then rapid regeneration.

I’m going to stray from the comic-loving crowd and say that Link wins this via Fierce Deity Mask.
