Reader suggested match up here, and it’s a great one. With both fighters possessing greatly enhanced suits of armor and weaponry, this one might come down to the character with the most skills.

Well, on an objective standpoint, Iron Man has much better flight capabilities and physical strength.
However, Iron Man’s suit isn’t designed for performing all of Samus’s trademark acrobatics, not that Stark would want to.
Samus probably has the larger arsenal, as Iron Man’s usual repertoire consists mainly of his Repulsor Rays and the Unibeam.
Samus trained by the Chozo her armer is strong. The Zero lazer would have ended the battle. With a Nintendo heart she would win.
i dont think so dude with uru he can absorb any of samus’s energy attack. and her bombs wouldnt do much beecause uru is highly resilent so he is bascily invincibe.
This fight would virtually come down to who’s suit can with stand more so I have to go with a draw here because unless I know exactly how durable each suit is its hard to say. If I’d pick anyone it would probably be Ironman because his suit is built to withstand a lot.

Marche, giving Iron Man the Thor Buster simply isn’t fair. Only Thor himself could stop him when he was wearing it.
I think it’s implied that Stark will be using his standard Extremis Armor.

If Iron-Man has this virtually indestructible armour to use against Samus, then why does he use it all the time?
As for the suit absorbing energy, isn’t that also what Metroids do (which Samus keeps beating)?
I think Samus could win because of her diversability, as Stark has use different suits for different effects, Samus can have a multitude of different things in one suit (i.e. all the different types of beams, and all the other power ups)
thorbuster was destroyed by thor cuz he is a god. as for energy samus uses an ice beam to kill metroids,ironman would ethier dodge or break out depending on where they are.
You know, although I think Samus’s armor would be a lot more durrable, I think Iron Man has an extreme advantage considering the fact that he can fly and Samus cant. Plus he can fly very fast, and he’s definately a lot stronger, but I doubt the battle would ever end up in close quarters, there both ranged fighters.
i think its just an in game thing where samus cant fly, to keep in with that platforming thing nintendo so brilliantly pull off, with those jets on her back, i do really think they are meant for flight, its just that its left out of the games because it would probly be to easy. onto the suits both have basic suits and both have powerful suits. Samus’ phazon vs uru would probly be a draw, both have ranged attacks but in close quarters samus has the chozo training and stark has brute strength. i dont know how hed deal with a ball though lol. also saying that only thor could stop tony when wearing the thor buster is only in the marvel universe - at no point could we determine the power of each samus and tony in the same universe but if they were to fite it would definately be a draw and then the would eventually stop fighting then team up and kick absolute ass!
The Samus Suit is made of an alien technology,and if both lost their armors Samus is very nimble and strong,ironman is a simple human(Tony Stark),So,I think that is Samus the winner….

Look saying Samus can fly is pure speculation. We know Iron Man can fly and thats a huge advantage over Samus,right? Man, I thought there’d be more debate in this thread

Samus can not fly. There isn’t a single part in any game where she can fly. Just because it looks like she has jets on her back, does not mean they really are. Iron man however can fly, and he can fly incredibly fast. I’m willing to bet he is much stronger, and you’ve ever seen the barrage of missiles and bullets he can take in the comics you would know that he is a hundred times more durable than Samus. He has a lot of tricky and powerful integrated weaponry as well.. So does Samus, well she actually just has bombs and a big gun with multiple settings. Here take a look at Master Chief vs. Ironman… He lost miserably, mostly just because he can’t fly. Now look at Samus vs. Master Chief disregarding the idiots who over considerably over exaggerate her health, that’s a really close fight. Now considering she’s roughly the same as Master Chief, and still has the same weakness against Ironman.. Why would she win?

Meh, I think Ironman would get in close, but in the sly Stark way, he’ll fly away from her at high speed, then arc round and charge her from the back… having that plow into your back can’t be healthy, no matter how durable your suit is, you’re gonna feel it.
Xonsidering how Stark was a playboy, he’ll probably flirt with Samus instead

Well, as it is true that samus cannot fly, she still has one advantage that everyone has been over looking. and that is the dreaded screw attack. Now, I think that it is safe to say that it would not crack Mr. Stark’s armor, but it would make him think twice before ramming into a ball of blazing energy, no? so, with the close combat out of the way, we are force to look at the ranged combat. Samus has energy beams, which unfortunately for her, can be absorbed by Iron man, should he be able to key in on the energy wave length (Please, correct me if i’m wrong, for I am going off the assumption that different energy converts at different modes…..)missiles, which Iron man can shrug off like noting happened,and a long range electro whip. Now, Iron man has the beams, which would damage samus, missiles, which would also damage her, and various other toys which would be very harmful to our heroine. Though she is good at dodging, I still think this one goes out to mr. stark, though it would be cool to watch.
Tony Stark would win he would just put on the old stark charm and samus would be so turned on she would drop her suit. then stark would be tunred on and they would have a crazy hot night of sweet pasionate love making. so acctually i think they would both win
Darn it, why do people keep bringing up that? It is annoying to no end. We are talking as if they both fell out of the sky and decided to fight each other. Samus looks quite like a guy in her power suit, so unless Iron man has a scanner which can see through power armor, which I doubt but it could happen, maybe, then they would just fight to the Death, or until samus’ suit got blown off.

I think samus would win maybe she can’t fly but she can jump pretty high not to mention her suit is indestructable especialy if she has like a fire resistant suit but the most important thing to keep in mind is that her suit was designed to handle hostile planet environments where gravity is much more stronger than here on earth so here on earth she would be indestructable her suit has been through a lot shes basicly like superman here on earth. For her suit to handle other stronger planets where radiation is common theres no weapon here on earth that could pierce through it she can be blasted with a plasma gun and still survive. so flight versus unmatched resistance?
Well, in his standard armour, it’s a pretty even fight. Samus has a lot of big guns but Stark can fly away to a safe distance if necessary, giving him plenty of tactical options.
But to be honest, Stark would just use the Thorbuster to win. It may have been destroyed so to speak, but these fights seem to allow any weapon/item, regardless of what has happened to them.
And it perfectly fair for Ironman to use the suit, because if he can’t use his greatest items and he is forced to use his standard armour (like the MKIII from the movie or the Extremis Armor) then Samus can’t use her best equipment either and it would be a fight between Samus in basic armour and equipment (like at the start of Metroid Prime) and Stark in his standard equipment, which mean the fight is still in Ironman’s favor.

Ok, the Thorbuster suit is made from Uru, which absords energy attacks. Incase u havn’t noticed, most of Samus’ attacks (including her most powerful ones) are energy based.
Hmmm… Samus’s suit has technology that’s thousands of years ahead of current technology (not to say that Ironman is modern- He’s about 200 years ahead of us), but the technological difference just shows that Samus’s Power suit has a great edge on Ironmans. And Samus CAN fly, actually. Remember the spider jump from the older games? That was technically flying. Then that gets upgraded to the screw attack, which destroys everything. Playing with the screw attack is pure bliss- Those annoying turtle things finally got what they deserved…
Anyway, Samus, no doubt, has a great edge on Ironman, but Ironman COULD win, though.
And If Ironman get’s the Thorbuster, then Samus get’s the Phazon pack, just to even it out (remember- Phazon is a highly radioactive and corrosive element- not energy).
the thing is,ironmans flying is superior to wall jumping of the screwattack.
besides that most of her attacks are energy based(that thor buster absorbs)
and the explosives would be no match to uru that is unbreakable.
While the Space Jump does give Samus the ability to fly, it is nothing compared to what Ironman can do, and the Screw attack is another energy based attack, which would do nothing to Thorbuster suit.
Also it is fair to give Samus the Phazon pack, but its one of the few weapons which can hurt Ironman that she has.
If he has the Thorbuster, that is. Without it, Ironman’s pretty screwed.
If Samus is in HyperMode when she uses her screw attack it turns into a Phazon based move, therefore not energy based.
Really? That’s pretty cool (i haven’t played corruptions). Still, she still has to hit Iron Man with it, which is pretty dam hard when he can fly at supersonic speeds.
