   this is close, real close, one can’t overpower the other but as much as I like hellboy, I gotta give it to dante for his considerable speed.

   I’d say Hellboy has the better chance of winning, because he’s much tougher, and while dante is likely to land more hits (because he’s faster), the few hits that Hellboy can hit with are going to be powerful enough to end it.

   Dante, no problem He’d never take a hit

   He’d absolutely destroy Hellboy
   1. Ever see him fight in cutscenes
   2. He’s invincible (shot in executioner style in dmc3, impaled on his own sword in dmc4, both times he felt nothing)

   Hellboys only advantage is a big hand..

   Dante is stronger than his father sparda (who sealed the demon world)

   Dante has beaten the strongest bosses of any games (i forget his name but I think he literally fights god)

   Complete weapons mastery: He instantly becomes an expert fighter of any devil arms he picks up

   He has devil form where he regains health and becomes much stronger

   He has Yamato (the sword that sealed the demon world)

   Cooler guns
   Big sword (of pwnage)

   This fight is like pitting Master chief against lara croft

   I dont know much about Hellboy,
   But i know enough about dante to know he would kill MC, samus, Hellboy, chuck norris, darth vader, Iron man and superman.. AS A PARAPLEGIC

   Hellboy more powerful than the demons in DMC though.

   -Can heal wounds that would be instantly fatal to a human within seconds (e.g. was impaled with a sword, and was fine).
   -Superhuman strength (pulled up huge trees, and thrown them)
   -Superhuman durability (took numerous bullets to the chest from a MG-42 machine gun and was fine)
   -Indestructible “The Right Hand of Doom”

   And his inventory isn’t bad either
   -A giant holy gun (made from metal of church bells, and holy wood) that shoots “really big bullets” containing silver shavings, holy water, garlic, and white oak (could probably kill dante with one hit).
   - grenades and other demolition tools.

   As for dante, he’d only be a problem in his demon form (though a holy bullet could still do serious damage), and he can only sustain that for a short time.
   As for being invincible, how do you explain that he’s able to die in the games then? (while you’re playing as him, not the cut scenes).

   And dante could be defeated by any of the other people you’ve mentions (except paraplegic superman, but that’s hardly a challenge).

   he has to die in-game for gameplay reasons, Otherwise the game would be boring.

   Dante instanly heal from wounds aswell
   He has superhuman strenght
   He doesnt need to take bullets in the chest, He can shoot them out of the air with his own
   As fot the hand of doom, Dante took a pummeling to the face from Nero with his devil bringer hand, He didnt take any sort of damage from it.
   And no matter what you think: Devil bringer > Hand of doom

   As for stronger Demons
   Hellboy is a movie, therefore it has to have mainly ”boss” demons

   DMC is a game and therefore has to have lots of ‘pawns’ But the bosses can still be huge

   Dante is more powerful than Hellboy, didn’t you know? Half-demons are hated and feared for their ability to surpass full-fledged demons or humans.

   As of DMC3, they’re equal-ish, but as DMC 4 comes around Dante’s strength has gone beyond anything they can put in the game…. not to mention SPARDA and YAMATO. I’m not kidding when I say that Yamato and Sparda technically COULD cut through his right hand, as all 3 are “keys” to the demon world. Sparda more so…

   Dante’s regenerative abilities and Hellboy’s seem similar. They’d shoot each other in the head and fall, then get up laughing or something.

   In the first place, they wouldn’t even fight seriously. It’d be too much fun to end it prematurely. That and their personalities and vocation would make them allies first and foremost…though there may be some rivalry.

   I simply say Dante because he’s been shown to be far more powerful than Hellboy…

    I don’t want to choose between the two. I’d rather they team up and kick some demonoid ass.
