Just in time for yet another re-hash of the same story being re-told, we have The Incredible Hulk going up against the Chief. I wish I could say that I think Hulk has a chance, but I think this round easily goes to MC.

Sorry I have read some of these and I have found a problems I have with this system firstly when there fights are conducted the way in which the Chief wins is by readers claiming ‘OH in halo universe that doesn’t exist so won’t work’ or the worse one of making a statement that is completely preposterous about the master chief’s equipment, I think I saw one that claimed it could stand up to a light saber which is a bold statement seeing as it can be worn down by light arms fire in the games
Any way the reason I bring this up is in that fact that if you take the hulk and anyone the hulk will usually come out on top as bullets, rockets, sound, radiation et al usually have no effect on him at all just make him angry. Which leads me to my second point when the hulk gets angry he gets stronger so even if the suit of master chief can take more damage than say a tank which the hulk can rip apart like butter he will eventually piss the hulk off to the point where the hulk will simply pull him apart limb from limb any way. Even ‘calm’ the hulk will annihilate the heavily armored things of our day, things that can’t be broken by small arms fire unlike Chief’s own amour.
This is also his only main power. The hulk has plenty of others i.e. due to his highly radioactive body he can mutate to adapt to a situation such as when they tried to drown him he sprouted gills. There is also the concept of his healing. In one comic he was hit with a nuke and most of his flesh was atomized as usually happens in these situations. Twenty odd seconds he grew it all back. Albeit he was very, very angry at the time so this is an extreme example.
If there is anyone who feels the master chief with his array of guns can stop that then please point out how
From my experience from the games, one thing masterchief seems to spend a lot of time doing, is after getting badly hurt by an enemy, is to run off and hide until his shields are recharged, and maybe look for some other weapons.
So all masterchief has to do to win, is stay hidden, until Hulk calms down and reverts to Bruce Banner, and shoot his face off.
I thought that master chief was meant to be a brave hard man oh well guess I’m mistaken… that approach would make him a coward…
Anyway it depends on how mad the hulk was at the start of the fight really as he has stayed mad in that later comics for quite some time… well usually until he has smashed what was annoying him.
You’d think so, but then you play the game, and realise it’s impossible without constantly running away to recharge your shields.
Although, with one attack, Hulk could not only drain masterchief’s shields completely, but also crush his armour, and every bone in his body.
I suppose there’s a lot of variants that could lead to masterchief’s win (Hulk not chasing masterchief when he runs off, masterchief realising Hulk gets weaker as he calms down [or Cortana, if she hasn't been lost against], whether Hulk will revert to Bruce Banner)
And there may be some strange effects from masterchief’s weapons on Hulk (e.g. maybe an energy drainer would drain all of Hulk’s Gama energy, leaving him powerless).
But in a no-nonsense coliseum-style fight, Hulk wins hands down, and there’s no a thing masterchief can do against him.
Hmm this one seems pretty conclusive then…..

Come on, if masterchief can’t beat Hulk, how’s he going to beat Silver Surfer?
I don’t think there’s any point in putting masterchief against any ultra-superpowered superheroes (e.g. Superman, Goku, Hulk etc), as he has no chance of winning, he should stick to fighting the ones where the battle could go wither way.

you could do a tag team event through such as the good ol’ arbiter and master chief combo vs one of the overtly superpowered superheroes. Or mayhap a master chief and a couple of his spartan buddies vs one of them….
This would be a awesome fight to see! I believe these to guys would go toe to toe for awhile. But as long as master chief keeps his distance from the Hulk he should be able to beat him easily… Then conclude the fight with a Banner T-Bagging in the face!
just quick question how do you reckon he will do it hmm? The hulk can take essentailly anything you can throw at him mecha bob did point out a good way of waiting till he calms down but I don’t see how keeping ones distance will help that much
the bullets wouldnt hurt the hulk but a plasma would blow his green head off!
This is allot like the mc vs wolverine battle. The supper heroes are just too indestructible. I like MC because he seems a little more realistic. Extremely advanced genetics aside, he is a perfect example of the modern super soldier. So of course the freakishly huge green monster with limitless strength and adaptability wins. Aside from MC possible exploitation of the hulks only weakness… sanity. Isn’t that ironic? But all in all MC has to fight the hulk, not the pansy so kudoz to the freakishly huge bute. But please keep in mind that the MC in the games doesn’t even scratch the true potential described in the books. So take that comic book readers.
If you truely know MasterCheif, The last spartan,Spartan 117 ,The Chosen One,John You will know he is a god he is indestructable if he puts his bionically enchanced heart into it he’s not a coward oh and my bro only had to hide to recharge his shields once in every level on legandary MasterChief is unstoppable. The Master Chief is not a moron. He is out-classed and his only real choice of action would the 2nd post (Mecha bob’s). That is the only option the MC really has, not ending in death.
The hulk, he will crush the Master Chiefs Skull and choke him by his spinal cord.
spartan 118, that may be an option, but not necessairly his only. a plasma wep could kill him easily.
How could a plasma weapon kill him easily? he has been hit with a nuke and survived and from what I have seen the plasma weapons are not that strong otherwise the Halo would have ended the second some one pressed the fire button. I am not familier with the novels as they have not appealed to me as literature but from what I have seen on this site the hulk would dominate.
dude, plasma eats through anything. i know it dont show on the games but in the novels plasma burns the covenant easily. plus the hulk is like a big gerrn hunter, hed be blasted apart by any heavy weapon.

master chief owns the big boy. remember, the chief can get punched through a building and survive easily. and how would hulk last two seconds? at the beginning of the battle, Bruce Banner better be angry, or he’ll get his head blown off. even if he is the Hulk, he still can get a big hole blown through him with a spartan lazer.
Maybe if MC can blast of a spartan lazer right on the hulks head, then he has a chance, depending how tough Hulk’s skull really is. But then the Hulk isn’t one to stand still. He’s somewhat fast and can jump skyhigh. If the hulk can get in fighting range then its all over for MC, the Hulk would pound him and tear him appart.
As for the plasma nades, Hulk has taken on stronger stuff than that thanks to his tough skin and regeneration.

the hulk would just dominate master cheif . if you ee the hulk movies he cant be stooped by any of their big guns and the weapons on halo are nothing compared to those and plasma will not even stun hulk
As someone who’s name I can’t be bothered to remember said, the Hulk has survived a friggin nuke, and just got angrier! MC has absolutely no weapon more powerful than a nuke , and thus couldn’t kill, or touch Hulk, just get him madder. This is how that fight would go:
Hulk:”Little green man make hulk angry!”
MC:”WTF!!!” Starts shooting
Hulk: “Hulk SMASH!”
MC: Starts running
Hulk:Jumps and lands just in front of MC, then smashes him under his fist. “Gross, hulk get MC guts all over fist”, reverts to Bruce Banner
Bruce: “Why are there guts on my fist?”

I think halo is a pretty cool guy. eh kills aleins and doesnt afraid of anything.

Actually the weapons employed by the UNSC were standard ballistic weaponry employing kinetic, electrical and explosive delivered rounds. Small arms such as the Assault Rifle, SMG, Sniper Rifle and the Rocket Launcher are pretty much exact replicas of todays modern weaponry transposed five hundred years further into the future.
Toe to toe, modern military equipment and firearms could quite easily maintain combat integrity against the arsenal of the UNSC of the Halo era.
Covenant weapons are not so different, instead using Plasma based compounds as a delivery method of each inidividual wepons respective ordinance.

The Hulk has survived a direct blast from a nuclear warhead, (For those with no understanding of physics; stay out of this conversation) which barely scathed his epidermal layers, which he later regenerated. There is no weapon Master Chief could ever hope to yield that could defeat the Hulk.
The Weapons themselves are not weak, against their intended targets they do the job just fine. But the Hulk is a different opponent all together.

I’m a huge chief fan, but I think this match goes to hulk. hulk is insanely fast, strong, and he has insane fast healing, like in hulk one he was shot with a bazooka and wasn’t even hurt that much. plus hulk can run up to chief and squish him. sorry chief but hulk would pummel you.

I tell it how it is, even when my favorite character *Master Chief* is going to die. Unfortuately, this is one of those times. There is absolutely no chance of survival unless Superman comes down from the heavens to save his ass… and even then its iffy
I’m quite positive that the Hulk could punt Master Chief through the atmosphere and beyond the Earths centre of Gravitational pull.
id like to point out that no one has ever tried firing an overchareged plasma pistol at the hulk, so if that had a special effect, or i knew the power of the laser, and had the abilty to tell excatley how strong the hulks skull was, id be able to tell you who would win. if hulk could withstand those items, mc would sadly be, as hulk says “SMASHED”
dude i like mc and all…but hulk could just get his anger from world war hulks end and become immortal and he could destroy anything(except a planet)and hulk would amsh everything in sight until he finds master chiefs hiding place and rips his head and limbs off and then tear out his heart and punch it into blood so hulk wins. no offence to chief fans. however if he used hulks weakness he would turn to bruce banner and MC would shoot his heart to bits with the spartan laser. so my overall decision would be….TIE!!!!!!!!
But this is not a fight between MC and Bruce Banner, it’s a fight between MC and The Incredible Hulk. Alternate personality aside, this is a fight strictly between the two of them.

The Hulk is an alternate and entirely seperate character to Banner, who only exists as an alternate individual to the Hulk personna. We are postulating that MC fights THE Hulk, not Banner. Say it with me again, the hulk, not Banner.
What if the Hulk fought John before he became a Master Chief in the Navy and underwent the SPARTAN modifications? He would still have his Skull crushed by the Hulk regardless of whatever form or alias he so chooses to take, but in that respect he wont be a Master Chief.

sorry i dont read comic books i only get knoledge from tv and video games and the internet about this guy but still if mc just fought the hulk he would rip MCs armor to pieces then he would punch him through several buildings hit him with a critical pain then a super atomic slam then a atomic clap and tear his heart out and throw his body into the atmosphere and mc would land at the bottom of the ocean life less without his helmet or armor
chief talks to the hulk and tell him to go after admin because he got him angry in the first place” later after hulk is done with admin he reverts to Bruce banner and mc puts arm on his shoulder “says: good job boy ” then rips his head off….TEEEEHEEEE

Chief has no special powers to overwhelm the incredible force known as the Hulk, he would lose…
i see my post really offended you cause you do not no the difference beween strong and strong enough to destroy the empire state bulding and the highest buildings in the world with no problem and master chief could only do that using a halo or detonating the pillar of autumn’s crah site so he doesnt stand a chance and hulk will obviously come for you next cause of your comment so you obviously don’t know what the consequences are for making a comment insulting the hulk who can tear you in half easily and sometimes he transforms faster then a speeding bullet so if he tried to rip his head off he would become hulk again faster then a speeding bullet thus rip chief limb from limb and then kill you completly and he’ll kill you to fast for you to regret posting that comment

Don’t get me wrong, Master Chief is a badass compared to any HUMAN. But, the Hulk is a badass when compared to anything. Here’s the fight. Chief opens up with some AR fire, which probably feels like airsoft pellets to the Hulk. The Hulk closes in and picks the wee man up by the waist. 1st punch , bye bye shields, 2nd punch bye bye Earth..
