Connor MacLeod vs William Wallace

Battle of the Highlanders - and “There can Be only One” - As much as I love the Braveheart version of William Wallace, I think he’d have one heck of a time trying to land a decapitating blow in order to win this fight - but stranger things have happened.
Is there any way the time-traveling MacLeod loses this fight?

MacLeod has several hundred years experience over Gibson (both in fighting, and intellect), as well as the strength of the other immortals he has defeated.
And he can only be defeated by decapitation, whereas Gibson could potentially go down with one hit.
The Highlander, I’m afraid. He’s an immortal with only one weakness, and much more vast experience. Also, MacLeod’s katana is a weapon of much greater quality, and a one on one clash could break Wallace’s claymore.
FREEEEEEEDOMMMMMMM
villiam vollace all the way yo!!! SCOTLAND FLIPPIN ROCKS!
I think william because he has a beastlier sword, and it would break mcleod’s sword in 1 hit. THANK YOU
Conner wins this one.
As said by Mecha bob, he has several hundred years of experience (including training by an other master swordsman) as well as the strenght of the immortals he defeated. Can only be killed by decapitation whereas William is much more vulnerable.
And as for the sword, Connor’s was forged by Masamune (a master swordcrafter). So breaking his sword in 1 hit is highly unlikely.
the only way william could win is if he chops of mcleod’s head, and I don’t think thats going to happen.
Knights sword - Fat stamped out steel. Heavy. Probably accidentally discovered.
Katana - Tempered folded (200+x) steel perfected artform.
WEll if anyone has watched mythbusters we have allready discovered that none of these swords will break under human conditions. and if any of them would break it would be the claymore considering the many manufacturing flaws. the katana is flexible and as Syn mentioned the better quality blades can be folded anywhere upwords of 200 times. this means his blade is sharp enough to split hair length wise or cut a 5 bodys (with ease i remind you)to ribbons, seeing as how that this used to be a way of testing a katanas strength i think it would be an easy feat for the highlanders blade. the highlander is immortal, im not saying he cant be killed so dont get your panties in a bunch. im saying he has lived hundreds of years and has most likely perfected and become a master in many forms of combat. lats look at what bruce lee did in half a life time, and lets face it he could mop the floor with wallace. secondly seeing as how highlander has lived for centuries and has this vast knowledge and understanding of combat there is probobly a reason why he uses a katana and not a claymore.
a claymore could hack through a person just as easily, its a common miscomprehension that the katana was hugely sharper than other swords. Most swords could be made just as sharp however they often made in larger numbers and faster so they had less time to sharpen the to the correct degree also the became blunted much faster. Its really advantage was the speed with which it could be weilded compared to other weapons
