Another reader request. For me this is hardly fair. Marcus has very little advantage (if at all) in this match up - If it were MC versus the Locust, the game would be over in about 5 minutes.

Fenix has killed as many locust as MC has covenant. Both are badass soldiers who wipe the floor with average jerkoffs. This is an absolute tie. No clear winner at all.

Master Chief would win the fight? Hah! That’s a freakin’ laugh, dude! Marcus Fenix would floor MC in less than a minute and not only that, Marcus will chainsaw that spartan in half! Even the mighty Locust Hordes are way too powerful than the Covenants if they ever fight each other in a war. No contest.

Marcus and MC are two great characters but Gears of war has a way better feel than Halo has ever as a war game. Since MC has a hard time hiding… Marcus wins all out right. And if he runs out of ammo the chainsaw will take care of the rest. As for Marcus’ team, They suck as well as MC’s marines so they both are a total loss! Unless you’ve played both extensively how can you say one is better than the other? That’s hypocritical!

Jesus says Master Chief wins, marcus is cool and all but that chainsaw cant cut through armour that weighs 250 pounds, so… yeah the chief humps Marcus in this case and if the chief fought the whole gears universe he would win even if he fought 39 corpsers, 12 brumaks and 8000 boomers all at once.

It’s been a while…man, by his gear, I concede to the victory of Master Chief…
But how about another Star Wars match up? Since we’re on the topic of Delta squad, how about Republic Commando Delta squad…they’d be a tough match…4 specified commandos, each with shields, immpenetrable katarn armor (also withstands space), in the books they have jet-packs from time to time, intel on their helmets, and a gun that has 3 different attachments…quick and easy…and painful, possibly.

lets put up master chiefs REAL stats.
- superhuman strength due to genetic augmentation
- superior war and battle tactic and a literal LIFETIME of battle experience
- superior speed and reflexes also due to augmentation
- armor the not only regenerates, but also causes him to weigh 1000 pounds.
so say marcus fenix wants to chainsaw MC, MC would pull him apart with relative ease in a melee fight alone. Not even taking into account MCs superior weapon handling over fenix.

I have NO CLUE!!! MC has AWESOME armor but MF has AWESOME weapons like the chainsaw gun and all. BUT…. MC does have the upper hand with the re-generating shield. I’ve played both games and they’re AWESOME. But I have to disagree with Jesus. MC could’nt take on 39 Corpsers, 12 Brumaks, and 8000 Boomers all at once unless he had like 9000000 or infinite ammo cause that seems a little over exhagerated. Anyway I’m with MC all the way but I just have NO idea IF they ACTUALLY went against each other!!!

WELL, i think, beating both halo 2&3 and gears of war MC wins hands down, first of all, cainsaw can’t cut through MC’s armor, then if area has little cover, Mc would kill MF with and weapon of coice, because MF relies on cover, unlike MC PLUS MC armor is near “immortal” to regular bullets…All in all MC could kill MF with his hands tie behind his back

This is unbelievably unbalanced, a joke really.
Armor: The Chief’s armor and shields are far superior to the shitty leather and metal that Fenix uses, it’s also much less bulky and more maneuverable. Bullets just ping off of the Chief’s shields, and even if they’re down, his armor is ultra-dense and could block the shots easily.
Weapons: Every weapon except the Hammer of Dawn in Gears of War is projectile-based (that means it fires bullets) whereas the Chief has projectile weapons and plasma weapons, he could literally hit Fenix with a shot from even a plasma pistol, and the plasma would burn away his tissue like it was paper. I’m not over-exaggerating either, read the books. With the Hammer of Dawn, the Chief can see the targeting laser and get out of the way, no problem. Spartans can run at up to 65 KpH, so good luck dragging that beam over him if he’s running and dodging. The Chainsaw would tear it’s teeth to pieces on his shields before they even went down, rendering the bayonet useless, and the torque bow would get deflected (The chief can deflect rockets, read the books). However, the Chief can use any plasma weapon, including the sword, to decimate Fenix, and rockets also give him an advantage. The Chief would be curbstomping in minutes.
Tactics: The Chief has been trained since he was 6 in every aspect of military tactics, Fenix just hides behind walls and takes potshots at enemies.
Technology: Chief is lightyears ahead of Fenix in the area of technology. He has an AI *in his suit*, while Fenix doesn’t even have a helmet.
Brute Strength: Fenix is bulky and arguably very very strong, but the Chief can lift several tons (He can flip over Elephants on Sandtrap like they’re nothing.) and weighs a few tons himself. His armor and shields can block any punch Fenix can throw and probably break his hand, while the Chief could literally punch through Fenix’s head or chest.
