Master Chief vs Spartans
So this idea of MC taking on an army had popped up a few times, but how would an elite group of soldiers handle taking on a one-man army?
I think “THIS IS SPARTA” might actually win. Even with all of the technology, 300 against 1 just seems too great. Sure MC could laser or kill a bunch of spartans in a group, but they know that if they keep advancing, he has to re-load at some point in time…

Ill say the 300 have more fighting skills it is just they got no technology but they got the super human strength. And master chief alone can kill all of the Persians in their times(Including their king, Xerkses).

Various weapon skills -
Indians were savy enough to obtain horses and rifles from european settlers.
Even in the halo world, human soldiers picked up covenant armament.
What’s more, for the MC vs 300 fight to take place you’ll have to settle it in one of the MC maps… imagine.. Valhala…
and there are plenty of weapons there to pick so that the 300 can kick MC’s butt!!

ok here it is master chief has superier fighting skills even for hand to hand asword would do close to nothing and don’t forget masterchief has energy sword and gravity hammer and lets say he has a energy drainer , a gattleing gun, and full gernads, and a gravity hammer and say by some miricle that all that doesn’t kill all of them he could charge them and kill them easly because he has super human speed and strength and not a single one would hit him. in the books he fights two ODSTs and he moved so fast everything was in slowmo so if he could do that to trained soldiers it would be the same with the 300 and besides if master chief gets in a hornet its all over or if he gets a scarb……

Uhh..Guys, read the halo books. Chief is genetically enhanced. He is like that guy from DOOM, who becomes super human…only chief is stronger. HE took on 4 ODST’s in a gravity simulating training room. without armour, he killed one, and permenatley disabled another, thre rest had broken ribs, skulls, internal bleeding..SO YEAH chief beats every one on you list of chief vs. _____

Plus…he doesnt need air supportt dummy. If chief let the spartans stab him…it would take more than a spear to do the job…more like a 10,000 pound boulder. Im sure that the spartans didnt have lasers back then too… in an hand to hand combat, chief would win. He reacts faster and stronger than all the spartans combined. Plus one of his blows to your chest or head…your dead. 300 jabs, 300 dead spartans. No scratch on that shield, let alone the armour.

nothing that the spartans have could kill chief
and don try to say they would pick up modern/future weapons because they would probably hurt themselves more than him because they do not understand the concept of “gun”
a full br and full assault rifle and two frags would easily allow chief to kill every last spartan
even if chief ran out of ammo, he could just as easily pick up one of their swords and have a hayday because their weapons are useless

masterchief may have taken out the covenant, but he always takes out small groups at a time, and then recharges his shields, and picks up more ammo/weapons before moving on to the next group, and the Original Spartans wont give masterchief the chance to do this, they’ll relentlessly attack again and again, until they wear masterchief down.
And to those saying that the more advanced technology will always win, look at the Angol-Zulu war, for the most part, the guys with spears beat the crap out of the guys with guns.
Arrows from medieval bows can break bullet proof glass that bullets can’t. Swords and knives can stab through bullet proof vests that bullets can’t.
Masterchief’s armour is designed to protect against advanced energy and projectile weapons, not simple weapons (even in the Halo games, the energy shields and armour don’t stand up to a sword, hammer, or punch, as well as they stand up to bullets and energy weapons).
Maybe masterchief could win against 10 or 20 spartan, but against 300? I don’t think so.

Whoever thinks a bunch of old time spartans can take down Master Chief with their puny old swords and wooden sheilds are downright dumb. All masterchief has to do is grap a BR55 Battle Rifle and two frags and its over for the 300 spartans.

As the title says MC is against the Spartans, I shall assume it is the whole army, not just the 300. MC would most likely decimate the 300 unless they found a way to coordinate a huge close range spear attack to overwhelm his shields and slide a sword or two between the armor plates, but that would probably be unlikely.
As Spartans entails the entire army, which is in the thousands, MC only has so much ammo. As a civilization of war, they would have plenty of tactics to choose from. They could surround and rush a scorpion to quickly overwhelm it. As it can only shoot in 1 direction at a time and has a slow reload time (other than the machine gun, which also shoots in one direction at a time) the rather large army would make its way to the scorpion, but at a high cost. They would then jab at it and rip apart whatever they could find and would most likely hit something vital. This would force MC out of his vehicle to inflict even more damage to the Spartans. This brings me back to the beginning of this long post (sorry) where they could overwhelm his shields and shove a spear or sword into his armor.
As with the other weapons, they seem to have limited ammunition. 10,000 spears vs a few hundred well placed bullets/a few lasers typically means a victory through overwhelming firepower.
MC could slaughter an army if he had plenty of space to maneuver and a wraith or a chopper. He could just run over them for an hour or so. Vehicle less and putting into a real world where a respawn doesn’t exist leaves him with the ammo issue. If he acquires enough spartan lasers, he can decimate the army. A sniper rifle, although very effective, is not practical as it has 4 shots to a magazine and would take to long to put a large dent into the army unless he moves around constantly for days.
Remember that the Spartans were considered super soldiers of their day, but they were overtaken due to the enormous under trained Persian army.
Overall, I believe the Spartan army would win through numbers, but a 1 vs 1 would equal an easy win for MC. It would become more difficult as the numbers increase though due to the manpower and lack of ammunition. MC would take a huge chunk of the Spartan army with him though.
And their shields contained more than just wood by the way. They contained wood, but also had layers of metal. Not enough to stop a bullet obviously, but good for the time.
To plokminra, yes he is a “spartan”, but it is just a name. I don’t think he came from Sparta or is of Spartan decent. Don’t quote me on that though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about air power. If he had it, he still has limited ammo. He could use it up and then swap to a tank though. MC would most likely win with vehicle support.

I wanna know how MC gets all these weapons: scorpions, scarabs, scarab gun, dual plasma rifles after the rocket launcher and fuel rod gun. I don’t get it does he pull all of this out of his arse when he needs it? or do the support pelicans someone mentioned drop them in pods after ,and I Quote,”The pelicans fire tons of missiles and kill all 300 spartans”. So thank you Michael for showing that MC cannot in fact operate alone.
